Good product. Cupro bought out Kocide copper fungicide, so now the only choice is this. Same product basically, but the directions in Cupro stink--keep the directions from your old Kocide!

QHow much CuPro 5000 do I add to a gallon sprayer to treat Leyland Cypress?

AAccording to the CuPro 5000 Fungicide Product Label, for Leyland Cypress you would use between 3-5 lbs of the product per acre in 20-50 gallons of water. This comes out to just over 1 ounce(2 TBSP) per 1000 square feet in no less than 1-2 gallons of water.

QSprayer dilution ratio
I have a 4gal backpack sprayer and want to spray Cupro 5000 on a magnolia that needs some help. Is 1 1/2 tablespoons the right amount per 4 gallons? Or, can I mix a concentrated batch and put it in a "dial n' spray" type sprayer for greater coverage? Thanks

ACuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide should be mixed at approx. 1 oz per gallon water. You want to use approx. 3-4 ounces per 4 gallons.

QHow much water with 1oz CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide?
yOU SAY "use 1 ounce(2 TBSP) CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide per 1000 square feet in no less than 1-2 gallons of water..." That is a 100% difference in the strength of the solution. That is a lot. Can you be more definitive in the amount please. ONE VALUE.

AWhen using CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide water acts as the carrier. In fact, the more water the better to assist with the plant soaking up the CUpro. As long as you evenly apply 1 oz over 1000 square feet, you can use either 1-2 gallons of water.

QCan CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide be used for Ball Moss on my trees?

A

Yes, CuPRO 5000 DF is a good option to treat for Ball Moss. You need to apply in the early spring when trees are dormant. Apply 9 to 12 pounds of CuPRO 5000 per 100 gallons of water or .5 oz per gallon of water, using 1.5 gallons of spray per foot of tree height. Be sure to thoroughly wet ball moss tufts.

You can also add a non-ionic surfactant, like Kinetic, to help improve control. A second application may be required after 12 months.

This product is also good for Spanish Moss and lichens.

*Not for use in California

QCan I use this product on black raspberries?
I have 100 plants, and I believe has a root fungus.

ANo, Cupro 5000 DF is not labeled for black raspberries. It is labeled for ornamentals. We would recommend using Liquid Copper Fungicide. With this product, you will use 0.5 to 2.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water. You will use this every 7-10 days until harvest. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

QHow much CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide do I use per gallon to treat roses?
I purchased CuPRO to use both as a preventative and to treat blackspot. I am not able to determine from the label how much I should use per gallon of water. Actually, I find the instructions hard to comprehend--since it uses acres an so forth. Have others said the same thing? My concern is that I do not want to use too much or too little.

A

CuPRO 5000 DF Fungicide is a professional product and the label may be difficult to understand. Like most fungicides and herbicides, the amount of water is not important as it acts as a carrier. You will mix 1 1/2 tsp in no less than 1-2 gallons of water. Per the label, the product can cause discoloration of foliage and/or blooms on some varieties of roses. Popular choices for black spot on roses that come in smaller quantities would be Brandt Consan Triple Action 20, or Bayer Advanced Disease Control for Roses, Flowers and Shrubs Concentrate.
