The best stuff ever!
By Mark on August 26, 2009
Verified Purchase
Last year I had to get let go of my pest control company because they would only show up when nobody was home and thus the inside of my house would never get inspected or serviced. I found out that my company's pest control service uses Cy-Kick Aerosol in our workplace. I bought it from DoMyOwnPestControl.com (thank goodness that they sold it, since I could not find it anywhere else). This product works great. It takes me less than 45 minutes to perform my own inside service and my results are better than when I used a pest control company!

Something worked
By Suzanne on April 29, 2011Had pantry moth infestation for almost a year now and cleaned out my pantry twice. Finally bought the traps and this aerosol and followed the directions and I have only seen and killed 3 moths. My trap had none. What I love is that the spray with the long nozzle is very powerful and very accurate so it was very easy for a short person to spray even where I couldn't reach. No odor noticed and I don't know if I did a great job cleaning up or if this spray did its job BUT this is a MUST buy after if you want to stop the cycle.

Good stuff
By Jonathan on August 22, 2008Good stuff, I had a problem with American roaches when I first bought my house. I use Cy-Kick Aerosol around base boards, in door jams, around windows, and in the corners of my garage. Great for keeping out most crawling insects. Not too effective at killing wolf spiders though. I sprayed it directly on a large wolf spider I found in my house and it only slowed it down, didn't kill it.

Did the job for me!
By Jayson on August 16, 2008National pest control company used this product to kill spiders outside. I have tons of spiders around the doors. I would walk out the door and walk though spider webs. 30 mins later the webs would be rebuilt and I would walk through them again. Spiders were bad, but Cy-Kick aerosol did the job. Not one spider has been seen since. I decided to DoMyOwnPestControl and ordered this product. Spider free for now! The residual effects of this product is excellent.

KILLS SCORPIONS DEADER-N-A-DOORNAIL IN TEXAS!
By Hates on May 14, 2013

5+ Stars. Sprayed this in/out the home. In cracks, in cracks in the door, garage door, external shed. OMG!!! Even after solid raining downpour in South Texas, I find DEAD scorpions by the door! they didn't even make it inside! I bought another can. This stuff is Gold! I won't ever go back to Lowe's pathetic excuse for Poison control anymore. My neighbor wants some, too. they are spending a fortune on "professional" exterminators and still get scorpions in the house. While they aren't dangerous, they are fast little sh*ts that give me the heebie-jeebies.

This stuff is awesome! I didn't know what Silverfish were until I moved to Texas. When I saw the nasty things I immediately got on DoMyOwnPestControl.com & ordered Cy-Kick. One spray & the thing died instantly. I haven't seen anymore since I sprayed around my house. I highly recommend this product!

Not as effective
By Elizabeth on September 25, 2012I have just finished with the 2 bottles of Cy-Kick Aerosol around the house but still found ants coming inside. I have put the Max Force FC Ant Bait Gel around the vents underneath and in the outside perimeters and then spray with Cy-Kick. It has been quite effective when I don't see them around for about 3 months. It is not as effective this time. Please suggest a more effective product and give me instructions on the best way to apply. Thank you for your help and kind regards, Elizabeth Sackett

Works for bees by salt water swimming pool
By Dan on September 5, 2012We recently moved into a house with a swimming pool that we converted to salt water as part of the pool renovations. Unfortunately, not only did we enjoy the refreshing salt water, but some neighboring honey bees liked it as a water source as well. After my oldest daughter got stung, I needed to eradicate the bees. We called out an exterminator, who didn't know what to do, since the hive was not located on our property. After doing some research on-line, I found Cy-Kick. After a few applications of the area of the pool decking that the bees were congregating around, we have not seen any bees. Thank you Cy-Kick!

wonderful
By A. on September 3, 2012I love cy-kick. No ants with it around. It stops them in their tracks and the residual keeps them from coming back.

Best. Treatment. Ever.
By Elle on August 15, 2012I will continue to buy this product as long as it is sold. This is the SAME stuff Terminix charges $80+ a visit to treat your home with. Why pay that much when you can do it yourself for $21/ bottle? With two cans I was able to regularly treat my 2100 sqft home for over two years. The best thing about it is that it WORKS! Bugs are going to get in (that is inevitable) however I rather find them dead because I have treated my home with Cy-Kick than crawling around! I can defintely tell a difference between this and home treatments you can buy from big box stores. This is the BEST product by far. I highly recommend it!

Disappointed in spray can ability to spray
By Sammie on August 9, 2012The spray straw was too short to reach under baseboard where crickets were. When you tilt can to make it reach...it quits spraying. Eventually the can just quit spraying at all leaving partial can of liquid that you cannot get out of can. For such an expensive item, you expect more, even the insect spray killer you buy at the hardware store sprays to the bottom of the can. It might be a good product, if you could get enough of it out of the can to spray. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

Cy-Kick Aerosol Highly Effective
By L.s. on August 1, 2012This product is an outstanding contact spray and some friends recently borrowed a few cans of mine twice to combat a cluster of scorpions near their swimming pool and elsewhere. The first time the scorpions took about fifteen minutes to die but they were immediatly immobilized upon contact with the spray. A few weeks later my friends tried again with some other scorpions and a few of the "strongest of the strong" ones crawled quickly away upon impact but were found dead later. I'm terrified of scorpions but I have used this directly on them and it took a while but they died. Mostly I use it as a supplement indoors and outdoors and especially in the garage, spraying around baseboards and in cracks. Inside it easily sprays in those tiny spaces between the kitchen counters and refrigerator/stove, and in other hard-to-reach areas. The spray is so powerful and far-reaching without the straw, and with the straw inserted the spray remains powerful but more focussed. The power of the spray is long-reaching so a coward like me can stand at a decent distance from the scorpions as I initially spray before getting braver and coming closer. The odor is minimal and dissipates quickly. I order this by the case for a great price, and of course DoMyOwnPestControl sends it quickly and packed so well. I use a professional pest control service, but without my Cy-Kick Aerosol I'd feel mightly insecure. I fully recommend this product.

September 2, 2010Asher asked:
QIs Cy Kick Aerosol safe to use next to pregnant women and infants?
AWhen used according to the product label, Cy-Kick aerosol is safe to use around infants and pregnant women. It is important that everyone is out of the area during the application. Everyone is free to return to the treated area as soon as it is dry.
May 24, 2010Cheryl asked:
QCan this Cy Kick Aerosol be used indoors around small pets?
I have a small dog and will take her to a neighbors house when i spray but will it be safe for her after the product has dried for an hour or two?
AYes. Cy-Kick Aerosol can be used in a house where animals live, the animals just need to be out of the area that is being treated, and they can return as soon as the treated area is dry.
December 30, 2010Darnell asked:
QIs Cy-Kick aerosol safe to use in a child's room?
Roaches seem to hide between the bed and wall. This is where I like to spray. My kids are wild sleepers and they tend to let their blankets fall in that area. My question is, if the blanket does fall could the Cy-Kick harm my kids if they then use the blanket? Is Cy-Kick safe once it is dry?
AFirst, you may want to consider thoroughly cleaning the area where roaches tend to congregate in your childs room, especially if your child eats in there. Second, if you are using the Cy-Kick Aerosol properly (please read the product label) then it is only being applied to the cracks and crevices around the room, not out in the open on the floor. By applying the product as specified on the product label, you limit the contact your children can have with it. And yes, once the product is dry it is safe for the kids to be around.
May 7, 2010Monica asked:
QCan Cy-Kick be used around my baseboards and not just cracks and crevices?
ACy-Kick aerosol does have to be used in cracks and crevices. The label states that Cy Kick may used behind the baseboards and in cracks and crevices around the baseboards.
February 1, 2010Gil's asked:
QWhat does the "cs" on Cy-Kick stand for?
What does the "cs" on Cy-Kick stand for? I have 20 oz aerosol can of Cy-Kick CS. When I search for that product it comes up with the concentrate that you have to mix. Also, can't find it in 20oz cans online....?
ACS stands for "capsulated suspension" or microencapsulated solution. Microencapsulated products last a little longer than the normal version but are really only beneficial when used outside in direct sunlight or an area where there may be a lot of moisture. The Cy-Kick CS version of the Cy-Kick aerosol that you are looking for is much more expensive. Since most people use this product indoors, we have chosen to only offer the Cy-Kick aerosol version instead of the Cy-Kick CS aerosol version. Both Cy-Kick aerosol and Cy-Kick CS aerosol have the same amount of active ingredient, Cyfluthrin .1%.
June 11, 2011Clay asked:
QAny reason to use Cy-Kick and Mother Earth together?
I noticed that my erstwhile pest control service routinely used both Cy-Kick CS and Mother Earth at my home. Any ideas on why and how they might use both? The directions on Mother Earth label say that it can be rendered ineffective if contaminated with another insecticide, so I'm not sure how or why I should use this if I have the Cy-Kick CS. The only thing I can think of is crack and crevice, or perhaps in the shrubbery around the house.
I already have both, so any ideas would be appreciated.
AIt is true that you would not want to put them in the same place, but they are both great products to use at the same time, just in different places. The Cy-Kick CS should be applied around the outside perimeter to help keep pests out of the home. MotherEarth dust should be used indoors in voids and hard to reach places such as underneath appliances, where pipes go into the walls under sinks and behind toilets, floor of the water heater closet, attic spaces, etc. Dust is better for these areas because dust will last much longer than the spray, sometimes up to 8 months. You should apply the Cy-Kick CS around the outside perimeter of the home every 2 to 3 months for best results.

QWhat product or procedures will get rid of bugs in my rice and pasta products?
I live in Florida and have a have a food storage pantry that I have typically stored rice, spaghetti, lasagne, and noodles in. I discovered bugs in my rice a few months ago, and soon found the same bugs in all my pasta products. I threw everything out, bought new products, and the bugs were back in everthing within days. I have since used or thrown products out again, and am buying in small quantities only and using product quickly, but still have the bugs from time to time. I can't get rid of them and they must be still in some products. I am worried that they could find their way through the house to my kitchen pantry. I use Taslstar P on a regular basis for my home protection, but obviously don't spray my shelves and food, only the baseboards. I need some suggestions on what to do or use to get rid of these bugs.
AFor pantry beetles or weevils you should remove everything from the cabinet, inspect every item, discard anything that is infested. Next you should thoroughly vacuum all cracks in the cabinet. Last, you can apply a product such as Cy-Kick Aerosol to all of cracks and crevices in the cabinet to help kill any hidden pupa as they emerge so that they cannot continue to re-infest products. After the cabinet has completely dried you can put food products back in the cabinet.
April 9, 2010Carolyn asked:
QIs Cy-Kick Aerosol geared to kill "stink" bugs?
A Yes, Cy-Kick Aerosol will kill stinkbugs that land on the surfaces that have been sprayed. Because stinkbugs are a relatively new problem, most companies have not had the opportunity to add them to their product labels. Most synthetic pyrethroids like the Cy-Kick will effectively treat stinkbugs.
July 11, 2010Daljinder asked:
QI have misplaced the straw that is used for dispensing CY-Kick aerosol. Where can I buy a replacement straw?
A Unfortunately, the manufacturer only provides us with one straw per can, and we do not have any extra straws. You can call the manufacturer, Whitmire Microgen 800-777-8570, and they should be able to help you.
July 16, 2010Frank asked:
QHow well does Cy Kick Aerosol work on springtails?
I have a pro that sprays for them, but they come right back!
ACy Kick aerosol will help you get rid of the springtails that make their way inside. To get rid of the spring tails for good you must find where they are breeding and developing, usually this will be some place that is very high in moisture.
October 24, 2012Kieran from Abbotsford, British Columbia asked:
QCan you use this product in the kitchen pantry?
How long should you wait before putting food back in the pantry? I'm just concerned about food touching the product and ,asking our family and baby sick.
AYou can use the straw applicator that comes with the product to apply Cy-Kick aerosol directly to the cracks and crevices in side of cabinets. Do not apply Cy-Kick Aerosol to the shelf surface or as a broadcast spray in the cabinet. You should wait until the application is completely dry before placing food or dishes back into the cabinets.
May 29, 2012Carol from Glenview, Illinois asked:
QHow long is Cy-Kick Aerosol effective when treating indoors for silverfish control?
I am using it in my house to kill silverfish. The bugs are basically in the bathroom and around the washer and dryer. I have found smaller amounts in other parts of the house. How often do I have to respray.
AYou can apply Cy-Kick Aerosol in the listed areas every 30 days until the silverfish population has been eliminated. Be sure to review the product label for complete application instructions.
December 4, 2012Debbie from Ramsey, Nj asked:
QIs this product effective for clothes moths?
I have a walk-in closet and have had many articles of clothing ruined by moths. If this product is effective for moths, how would I use it?
ACykick aerosol can help control clothing moths if it is sprayed on infested areas. The most important part of clothes moth control is finding the source and thoroughly cleaning the item(s) or disposing of the item(s) all together. Failure to do so will lead to poor results. Clothes moth eggs generally hatch out within 10 days during warmer temperatures and two weeks or longer during colder temperatures. Spraying a second time will help kill the adults but unless the larva are targeted you may continue to need additional treatments. Please take a moment to read our article How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths to learn more about this pest.
