    Q
What is the proper mixing ratio to water of Cyonara 9.7 in a 1 gallon sprayer
What is the proper ratio for mixing Cyonara in a one gallon sprayer. I want good protection from ants, spiders, crickets, scorpions, beetles etc in the Phoenix area. I don't want to over mix it, i.e. wasting it. The mixing chart is a little confusing with a lot of different ratios starting at 5 gallon mixing etc.
    A
Since scorpions are on your list you will need to use the highest application rate of 0.8 fl. oz. (24 mL) per
gallon of water. Pages 3 and 4 of Cyonara product label has a usage rate chart based on the types of pests you will be treating

    Q
Can I apply Cyonara 9.7 inside my home? I have kids and small dogs inside.
    A
Yes, you can use Cyonara 9.7 while kids and dogs are in the house.  When you mix this concentrate with water, it is only .03% - .06% active ingredient and only strong enough to kill small insects.  It is a good idea to keep pets and children outside or in another room while treating and then allow about 30 minutes for the product to dry.  Once dry, it is perfectly safe for children and pets to re-enter the living space.  Of course, you should always store the bottle of concentrate just like any other cleaning chemicals, out of reach of children and pets.

    Q
What is the difference between Cyonara and Demand?
I am currently using Demand CS. I am satisfied with that, but would like to try Cyonara. What is the difference between Cyonara and Demand?
    A
Cyonara 9.7 and Demand CS have the exact same active ingredient, Lambda-Cyhalothrin at the exact same concentration, 9.7%. Cyonara 9.7 is the generic brand of Demand CS and they are very similar. The main difference between the products is that the Demand CS is micro-encapsulated and the Cyonara 9.7 is not. Micro-encapsulation means that the active ingredient is contained in thousands of microscopic capsules that slowly release the product as the capsule dries out after the application. This helps the product be slightly less repellent to insects and helps the product last for a bit longer than other products.

    Q
Does Cyonara 9.7 spray work for bedbugs?
how often would i have to repeat this for it to guarantee that i won't get bed bugs back again.
    A
Cyonara 9.7 will work for bedbugs but it should not be the only product you use. You will also need to use an aerosol that can be sprayed on mattresses and furniture and into cracks and crevices, dust that you can apply in wall voids and other cracks and crevices and an insect growth regulator to help halt the breeding process. We have put together bedbug kits that contain all of the different products you would need for bedbug treatments. We also recommend using bedbug proof mattress and boxspring encasements to help eliminate current infestations and help make bedbug inspections easier in the future. Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee that you will not get infested in the future. Bedbugs are notorious hitch hikers and can come in on people or infested items.

The room is infected with bedbugs.

In most cases, you will need to wait 1-2 hours or until the application is dry. Since Cyonara 9.7 is water based it has just about the same drying time as water.

    Q
Can I apply Cyonara 9.7 with a yard sprayer (attached to the hose with the product in the tank)?
In reading the instructions it mentions tank mixing the product. Can I use my sprayer, which has the proper product to water ratio in the dial (it's an Ortho sprayer)? I would rather not use a hand tank sprayer as I have a large yard. Thanks for your help!
    A
Cyonara 9.7 can be used in a hose end sprayer that can be calibrated to spray the usage rate that fits your needs.

    Q
How often should Cyonara 9.7 be applied?
I sprayed around the perimeter of the house and in the boiler room mostly for crickets, but also for spiders and the infrequent American cockroach.
    A
Cyonara is formulated to last up to 90 days, however for optimum results we recommend you apply at least every 45 days.  Most liquid insecticides will last 60 - 90 days inside a home, but when you apply them outside and they are exposed to UV light, they breakdown much quicker and typically may only last about 30 days.

    Q
What is the mix ratio for fleas and ticks outside?
Hi, I purchased cyonara 9.7 lastbyear to use inand around my house and its working great. We now have a dog so I would like to use it on the lawn where the dog frequent s for ticks and fleas. I was thinking of trying a hose end sprayer. I have a small area and a larger area so I was just going to use my gallon sprayer with the spray fanned out. I was looking at the instructions and the mixing ratios seem very different for a gallon sprayer and "ornamental pests" and out door spraying. The gallon sprayer it says to mix like .4 oz per gallon. For outdoors it says1.5 to5 oz per 100 gallons? And there really isn't any instructions for a hose end sprayer. You guys have always been so helpful in the past...can you help me with this problem please...or point me to the right place on your website so i can read more? Thanks.
    A
When using Cyonara on turf and ornamentals to control fleas and ticks you would use 0.5 oz per gallon of water for smaller applications. You can use a hose end sprayer by setting the dial at half and once or 2 tablespoons.

    Q
Will Cyonara 9.7 help to get rid of the roaches before they spread to my other tenants?
I have a tenant who moved in and she didn't bother to tell me she had a issue with roaches at her last apartment.
    A
Cyonara 9.7 will help get rid of roaches. We also recommend using a roach bait gel along with an insect growth regulator. We recommend spraying low around baseboards, under appliances, in corners, around door frames and window frames. Use the bait up high on counter tops, apply directly into cracks and crevices to get rid of the roaches that live in the walls. You can mix the insect growth regulator with Cyonara and spray at the same time. Gentrol IGR will help disrupt the roaches breeding and development cycle, allowing you to get rid of the roaches you currently have before they reproduce out of control. We have also put together a Roach Control Kit that may fit your needs.

    Q
Will Cyonara kill bees that are pollinating my plants?
I bought Cyonara due to something eating my Mexican Petunia plants and was told it would not kill the Bees but on the bottle it says that it will, I need to know if that is true or not, I don't want to kill the Bees.
    A

If bees come in contact with an area treated with Cyonara, it is possible that they will die. We do recommend not spraying when the bees are active to avoid killing them.

    Q
What is the difference between Cyonara 9.7 and Cyzmic CS?
Is there a difference besides the micro-encapsulation?
    A

Cyonara 9.7, which is microcrystalized, and Cyzmic CS, which is micro-encapsulated, both have the same active ingredient.  The main difference is one is small capsules which will last longer outside and the other is crystals of the active ingredient.  They are comparable otherwise.
