Cyper WSP

Cyper WSP is an economical pyrethroid that provides fast knockdown and residual control of more than 30 different pests. Control ants, spiders, cockroaches, and other insects using 40% Cypermethrin contained in 4 water soluble packets (WSP) per envelope. Cyper WSP is comparable to Demon WP.

Available in envelopes containing 4 x 9.5 gram WSP and a box containing 12 envelopes with a total of 48 WSP.

Also available in a 1 lb pail.

INDOOR SURFACES USE

Cyper WSP may be used as a crack-and-crevice and/or spot treatment for indoor surfaces - Cockroaches, Spiders, Crickets, Scorpions, Silverfish, Ticks and Firebrats

Apply as a coarse, low pressure treatment to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, stoves, behind and under refrigerators, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices; also see Outdoor Surface Use.

Ants

Apply to any trails, around doors and windows and similar areas where ants (including carpenter ants) may be found. Where ants are trailing inside, apply as a residual surface treatment to active areas such as baseboards, corners around pipes, in and behind cabinets, behind and under refrigerators, sinks, furnaces and stoves, cracks and crevices. When combining baits and residual surface insecticides, apply surface insecticides in cracks and crevices, along baseboards, and infested surfaces and outside barrier treatments. Apply perimeter barrier treatments and treat nest to prevent infestation as described below in Outdoor Surface Use.

Assassin Bugs, Boxelder Bugs, Sowbugs, Pillbugs, Millipedes, Elm Leaf Beetle and Centipedes

Apply around doors and windows and similar areas where these, or similar perimeter pests, may be found or where they may enter premises. Treat baseboards, storage areas and other locations. Apply barrier treatments to prevent infestation as described in Outdoor Surface Use.

OUTDOOR SURFACE USE

Apply with either hand-held or power application equipment as a residual spray to surfaces of buildings, porches, screens, window frames, eaves, patios, lawns, refuse dumps, garages and other similar areas where these pests are found. Also, may be used as a spot treatment for applications to lawns in landscaped areas in and around residential, commercial, institutional and industrial buildings, and similar areas where these insect pests are active.

Note: The maximum application rate to lawns and other turfgrass is 0.44 lb. ai/A (0.0101 lb. ai/1,000 sq. ft.).

Carpenter Ants

Apply as a coarse wet spray treatment, but avoid runoff around door frames, windows and similar areas where these ants enter premises or hide.

Fire Ants (Mounds)

For individual fire ant mounds, apply Cyper WSP as a drench. Gently sprinkle (watering can) a total of one gallon over the surface of mounds up to 12 inches in diameter. Use 2 gallons for larger mounds. Thoroughly wet mound and surrounding area. Treat new mounds as they appear. Pressurized sprays may disturb the ants and cause migration. If possible, applications should be made on warm days after recent rainfall. All colonies in the vicinity should be treated, including those that have not yet constructed a mound.

Bees, Flies, Mosquitoes and Wasps

Apply directly to walls, window screens, and other exterior resting areas as a residual surface treatment. Use caution when treating nests of stinging insects as Cyper WSP does not provide instant knockdown. Protective equipment for the applicator may be required. For best results, treat bee, wasp and hornet nests late in the day when most insects will be present. Allow 2-3 days for the colony to die.

For mosquito control, apply as a general structural perimeter spray to landscape plantings, turf and building foundations to control mosquitoes. Yards or other frequented areas enclosed by landscaping can benefit from the creation of a mosquito barrier to reduce invading mosquitoes by the treatment of perimeter vegetation. For best results, apply Cyper WSP at recommended rates in 2-5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Higher volumes applied result in better coverage and will improve control. Application to vegetation away from the structures may require additional applicator certification, e.g. in turf and ornamental categories. Consult your state regulatory agency for requirements.

Fleas and Ticks

To control nuisance fleas and ticks (e.g. dog ticks) apply to yards, runs and other outside areas where pets may frequent. To control ticks, apply using a coarse fan spray to vegetation, brush, branches, rock walls, and other areas near habitation where ticks may harbor or frequent. Treat entire area rather than making spot treatments, and retreat as necessary to maintain control. Do not apply to pasture or cropland, and do not allow animals and people access to treated areas until the sprays have dried. Applications can begin in the spring and can continue until frost to control both larvae and adult ticks.

Cluster Flies

Make exterior treatments in late summer or early fall before flies are observed alighting on surfaces. Apply thoroughly on siding, under eaves, and around windows and doors paying particular attention to south-facing surfaces. Apply just enough dilution to adequately cover the area without excessive dripping or runoff. Heavy precipitation prior to frost may require retreatment to maintain protection.

Scorpions

Treat and remove accumulations of lumber, firewood and other materials which serve as harborage sites. Apply a coarse spray treatment to the point of drip.

Sod Webworms

Apply as a spot treatment when pests first appear (do not apply as a broadcast spray); retreat when needed. Delay watering or mowing the treated area for 12-24 hrs. after treatment. Use 5 gallons of solution per 800-1,600 sq. ft. when making application.

OUTDOOR PERIMETER BARRIER TREATMENT AROUND STRUCTURES

Applying a continual band of insecticide around building foundation and around windows, doors, service lines, entrances, eaves, vents, and other areas can greatly reduce the potential for entry by crawling pests. To facilitate application, remove debris and leaf litter from next to the foundation, trim vegetation and branches that touch the foundation and move or rake back rocks, deep mulch or other potential pest harborage next to the foundation. To help prevent infestation of buildings, apply as a band to soil and vegetation 6-10 ft. wide around and adjacent to the building. Also, treat the building foundation to a height of 2-3 ft. where pests are active and may find entrance. Apply as a coarse spray treatment to thoroughly and uniformly wet the foundation and/or band area, using 1-5 gals. of treatment solution applied to 800-1600 sq. ft.

5 of 5 stars  Cyper Effectivenss
By Lauren in Dayton, Tennessee on 02/05/2015

Extremely potent material. Ingredients (1 Package) when mixed with 1 Gal of water are lethal to insects. This is a broad range insecticide and can be used indoors or outdoors effectively. Caution to users: Wear vinyl or rubber gloves when preparing the solution. The ingredients are in a fine powder form. Wear a filter mask to prevent breathing the dust. Do not allow powder to get on the skin and if you do, wash immediately to avoided absorption into the tissue. If any powder gets on the surface of a counter, clean it off and do not use it around food areas. IT IS EFFECTIVE for the purpose intended.

5 of 5 stars  This stuff works!!!
By James in Liberty Hill, Tx. on 10/02/2015

From what I'm reading in the active ingredients this product replaced the Cyper WP. I use it primarily outdoors and it basically kills any and all insects it comes in contact with. Trust me on this one. I'm a certified buyer in Liberty Hill TX. I found the pail size to be the most economic and split it with my neighbor. It comes in individual packets that mixes with one gallon of water.

5 of 5 stars  Super product
By Ward in Blue Ridge Mountains, VA on 09/30/2015

Kills just about every type of insect. Lasts 3 months sprayed under eaves and other places rain cannot wash off residue. I think it works up to 6 months indoors in garages and barns to keep spiders away. VERY EFFECTIVE killing Stink Bugs trying to get in during the fall (before winter). Spray does not kill wasps and carpenter bees but irritates them enough to keep them from building a nest. I've been using this product for years around my home, in the garage and out-buildings. Very effective!

5 of 5 stars  Brown Recluse
By Karen in Olathe Kansas on 07/04/2016

Living in Kansas they're to be expected, but who wants Brown Recluses in their homes?!! NOT ME! Scared to death of spiders in general, but especially terrified of the BR. Found my first one about 4 years ago in my son's bedroom as I was putting laundry away one evening. I FLIPPED OUT. I literally fired our exterminator the next day and took matters into my own hands. That's when I learned about Cyper WP. LOVED that stuff. That Spring, between the Cyper WP and sticky boards, I killed/caught 18 brown Recluses in my home. I nearly fainted. Can you imagine? I was so hacked off at that exterminator, felt cheated by him. Not to mention felt like he was seriously putting my family at risk. I spray every 3 months, RELIGIOUSLY. Yesterday was my first time spraying with the new Cyper WSP. I called the manufacturer last year when I first learned it was being switched, I was so upset! The gal I spoke to assured me it was the same stuff, just being repackaged as a safety precaution. The stuff kills BR like nothing else on the market. Don't even waste your money on products at Home Depot or Lowes ect. The knock down time on this product is amazing. Literally spray and the next day I will find dead BR that have crawled out from the depths of closets, basement storeage rooms, cracks n crevices ect, under sinks ect. It's shocking yet very satisfying and reassuring to know your home is safe and free of these dangerous spiders.....especially if you have kids. If you live in BR territory I assure you they're in your home regardless of how tidy you are. Get Cyper WSP and stop worrying. I spray the perimeter of my home too, just make sure rain isn't in the forecast for at least 24-36 hours so it has time to set. and don't forget the garage and attic. Great stuff.

  • 5 of 5 stars  Carpenter Bees
By David in Washington, NJ on 07/02/2016

I had an infestation of a dozen or more carpenter bees behind the aluminum faced fascia boards along the roof of my two story house. I tried spraying with an aerosol insecticide I bought at the local box store. But that had no effect on the bees. I called DMOPC and the rep suggested the kit of Cyper WSP, Delta Dust, and the duster. She said to first spray Cyper WSP and after it dried to shoot in the dust using the duster. I did as she said, and it took care of the problem. I treated the area three weeks ago and there are still no carpenter bees around. It was quick and effective and worked!!!

    5 of 5 stars  versatility
By Marshall in Pineville, Louisiana on 04/11/2016

I "chased bugs" for 40+ years and have found this product to be not only effective (when applied out of site on the inside as wetable powders dry), but cost efficient also. I used it inside for a variety of critters and outside for termite swarms in stumps and fire ants (VERY Effective). I am now "retired", but am still active on a sporadic basis. I try to keep this chemical (cypermethrin) and diatomacious earth on hand and can eliminate "most" species of infesting insects. I also use "Mint Oil" to repel mice and bees in trash containers. A great chemical and a great company. Marshall Hilgendorf Retired, Vet. Admin. Medical Center Alexandria, La.

QHow to get rid of lizards?

A

There are no toxic products labeled for lizards, geckos or any reptiles or amphibians, and given the highly beneficial nature of these creatures there is not likely to be any products for them any time soon. The reason they are on your property is because they can find food and harborage. Take away their food and they will forage somewhere else. Take away the conditions they need for hiding and they will seek refuge someplace else.

You really have two options here:

1.Exclusion. Total exclusion can be hard to achieve particularly around the roof-line where there are going to be gaps that would be very hard to close off, but there also could be some obvious flaws such as broken vent screens, holes around cables, pipes or wires, or gaps under doors. All of these can easily be closed with brush strips, caulking, copper mesh (Stuf-fit), or some other suitable material. Exclusion is the best choice, because it is permanent, and eliminates or reduces the problem in the future too.

2.Outdoor habitat modification. In short get rid of the reasons lizards are there in the first place. They are there because they are finding the food they need to survive (insects) and a place to harbor. If you can eliminate either of these essentials, you can get rid of the lizards. Spray a good residual insecticide such asCyper WSP around the outside of your home to help cut down on the number of insects the lizards are eating. If lizards cannot find enough food they will either move on or starve. Eliminate as much clutter and debris around the outside of your home as possible to eliminate the places lizards like to hide. Rake back mulch or rocks at least 6 inches from the structure

If you need to get rid of the lizards that are already indoors the only options are catching them by hand or using glueboards placed in areas where the lizards travel.

QHow do I treat for roaches in an attic?
I've noticed a few roaches (looks like palmetto) coming out of the HVAC vent from the attic.

A

To combat the Palmetto bugs, you can mix Cyper WSP with Gentrol and treat your attic cracks and cervices. You can also treat other cracks and cervices in around the home, as well. You would dilute 1 packet plus 1 ounce Gentrol into 1 gallon water.

Cyper WSP†works great on roaches that contact a treated surface.
