Product Overview

For a better value, try Avesta CS Insecticide , which contains the same active ingredient.

Cyzmic CS Controlled Release Insecticide is a water-based concentrate that provides control of dozens of insects in a powerful micro-encapsulated formulation CapVantage for long-lasting control and little to no odor.

CapVantage Micro Encapsulation means that each droplet of insecticide is encased in a protective microscopic capsule, providing a long residual, even in direct sunlight or other harsh weather conditions. CapVantage also means the insecticide can be picked up more easily by the tiny hairs on insect bodies, especially flying insects. The micro-encapsulation also provides benefits to the applicator, including reduced exposure to the active ingredient.

All-around, Cyzmic CS is a longer-lasting, more effective insecticide on a wide range of insects including bed bugs, ants, mosquitoes, beetles, flies, stink bugs, carpenter bees, and others. Cyzmic CS can be used for a variety of indoor and outdoor insect applications, including perimeter treatments, residential areas, commercial properties, food-handling establishments, livestock and poultry housing, and turf and ornamental. Cyzmic CS can be reapplied at 21-day intervals, if necessary. Cyzmic CS is not a knockdown insecticide, but it can be used in conjunction with knockdown sprays.

Cyzmic CS is now available in single-use .4 oz bottles!

Compare to micro-encapsulated Demand CS.

How Cyzmic CS Works

Cyzmic CS is a water-based insecticide concentrate that targets dozens of structural, turf, and ornamental pests in a long-lasting formulation. The active ingredient Lambda-Cyhalothrin is one of the strongest in the synthetic pyrethroid class of insecticides. Designed to imitate the action of the natural pesticide pyrethrin (derived from the chrysanthemum flower), it quickly attacks the central nervous system of target pests. The primary advantages of this synthetic ingredient include longer residual, lower cost, lower rates, less odor, and longer shelf life. With the CapVantage technology of Cyzmic CS, you can use less product to get more even distribution of the active ingredient over your treatment area, helping to maximize your time, and money.

Encapsulation of the active ingredient also makes it more accessible to insects, especially on porous surfaces like raw wood or brick. Larger insects as roaches, scorpions, or spiders can pick up capsules with more active ingredient at a time, causing death more quickly. CapVantage also helps to coat leaf surfaces more evenly for treatment of flying insects as mosquitoes and ornamental insects as spider mites. The active ingredient not only stays in place, but it also is less susceptible to breakdown from sunlight and heat.

Target Uses for Cyzmic CS

Cyzmic CS is a versatile insecticide that is ideal for applications including: broad-spectrum perimeter insect control, crack and crevice indoor treatments, mosquito treatments, fire ant mounds, turf and ornamental pests, commercial applications, agricultural and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, athletic fields, food-handling establishments, livestock and poultry housing, and pet kennels.

    Instant Gratification

    By Aubrey on 09/01/2016

I've been using this product at my home for over 5 years. So when I was vacationing with family in Miami, I ordered a bottle for my wife's sister that had a spider, ant and roach infestation. Two days after treating her property, she called me to tell me she keeps seeing dead bugs inside and outside everywhere. Even the gnats that flew around the porch light at nighttime were gone.

    Not bad, cheaper than Demand

    By Dan on 02/27/2011

Cyzmic is a good product. I would say it does the job as well as the spendy Demand CS, given that it is the same generic formula. However, Cyzmic has some pretty intense fumes when mixed really heavy for a roach flush out or bed bugs. The smell is hardly noticeable for .015% dilution for spiders ect.

A little goes a long way!

    By Todd on 08/21/2010

    Verified Purchase

4 stars because I've only had this item for about a month. Used it to deter carpenter ants from entering the house, and yard bugs (silverfish, ants, earwigs, etc). So far so good. Based on the directions, you don't need to use much. An 8 oz. bottle will last a long time if you're a homeowner. Good buy.

    Great for scorpions

    By Gene on 12/18/2012

    Verified Purchase

Had a problem I didn't know about. Found several bark scorpions in the house. These are the most dangerous. Got a scorpion light and went hunting. Must have had a nest outside somewhere. Bought Cyzmic CS and sprayed according to directions. Checked 2 days later and found about 8 dead ones plus ALL of the other bugs. If there is anything better on the market, I'd like to know what it is. I am really impressed with this product.

    Outstanding product

    By Michael on 11/03/2013

    Verified Purchase

I got tired of paying $60 dollars locally for a bottle of Demand CS. I searched the web and came across this site which had it $20 dollars cheaper. I ended up buying the Cyzmic CS that contains the same active ingredients. I ordered on a Monday night and received it Thursday. This product works identical to Demand and took care of my pest problem. This company has great prices, product selection and fast FREE shipping. 5 stars everyday from a very happy customer.

Q
Will the residue from Cyzmic CS kill bed bugs?

Is the residue able to kill them for weeks like the BedLam spray? I want to do overkill and spray anything and everything in my house but that would take tons of cans of BedLam, so I need something I can mix for a sprayer. But I want the residue to still continue to kill the bed bugs for a few weeks. What is best for that?

A

Cyzmic CS is labeled for bed bugs and will kill them. You can apply Cyzmic every 21 days indoors. It is very important to follow the product label instructions and resist the temptation to spray 'anything and everything'. According to the Cyzmic product label :

Bed bugs: Clean floors and surfaces by vacuuming. Apply as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Do not apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures.

There is another product called Phantom that can last up to 30 days and it can be sprayed in all of the places the the Cyzmic can be sprayed in plus it can be used on the tufts, folds, seams and edges of mattresses and box springs. Phantom has the benefit of being non-repellent which means that insects cannot sense that it is there so they cannot avoid treated areas. There is no known resistance from bed bugs to the active ingredient contained in Phantom.

Q
Does Cyzmic CS have the same residual (90 days) that Demand CS has?

Demand CS lasts up to 90 days. All I've been able to find about Cyzmic CS is "long lasting residual", which is very general. Has there been any real testing if it is really as good as Demand CS?

A
The Demand CS label also does not give a definitive time frame, but you are correct that it is well known that any product that is micro-encapsulated (like Demand CS and Cyzmic CS) are going to have a longer residual than most other products. Cyzmic CS is an exact generic version of Demand CS. While there are no immediate studies that we are aware of, we have received great customer feedback on Cyzmic CS and the results seem to be right in line with Demand CS.

Q
What is the shelf life of Cyzmic CS?
A
Cyzmic CS, like most of our bottled liquid products, should have a shelf life of 2 to 3 years if stored in a cool dry place and out of direct sunlight.

Q
Is Cyzmic CS safe for children and also is it safe when use on siding(will it damage it or not)?

We have a problem with ladybugs and box elder bugs. There are so many of them that is almost impossible to get into our house without leading some of them in to the house!

A
Cyzmic CS is very safe to use around children and animals as long as they are out of the area while you are spraying. They can return as soon as the area is dry. Cyzmic CS is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and will not break down easily with rainfall. It is also safe to apply to siding and we have never had an issue from our customers applying it on any surface. If the ladybugs and boxelder bugs are in your home, they most likely moved in during the fall. When the weather warms up, they will come out of their hiding places (usually wall voids, drop ceilings attics) and try to find their way outdoors. Unfortunately, after the ladybugs and boxelder bugs have gained entry there is not much you can do beyond vacuuming them up and applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol around the door frames and window frames and other cracks and crevices may give you some relief.

Q
Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide Compared to Knox Out (Micro encapsulated Diazinon).

I've used & like Knox Out which you don't sell. How does Cyzmic compare in terms of effectiveness?

A
For one thing Diazinon (Knox Out) was outlawed years ago and is no longer available.  As far as products left today Cyzmic CS is one of the best.  It has the longest residual of any of the products we sell and is labeled for just about anything you would want to treat.  It would be a great choice for your pest control needs.
