Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide

Cyzmic CS is a water-based insecticide concentrate that provides excellent control of dozens of insect pests in a powerful micro-encapsulated formulation (CapVantage) for long-lasting control and little to no odor.

CapVantage Micro Encapsulation means that each droplet of insecticide is encased in a protective microscopic capsule, providing a long residual, even in direct sunlight or other harsh weather conditions. CapVantage also means the product can be picked up more easily by the tiny hairs on insects’ bodies - especially flying insects. The micro-encapsulation also provides benefits to the applicator, including reduced exposure to the active ingredient.

All-around, Cyzmic CS is a longer-lasting, more effective product on a wide range of insect pests including bed bugs, ants, mosquitoes, beetles, flies, stink bugs, carpenter bees, and more. Cyzmic CS can be used for a variety of indoor and outdoor pest applications, including perimeter pest treatments, residential areas, commercial properties, food-handling establishments, livestock and poultry housing, and turf and ornamental. Cyzmic CS can be reapplied at 21-day intervals, if necessary. Cyzmic CS is not a knockdown insecticide, but it can be used in conjunction with knockdown sprays.

*Cyzmic CS is now available in single-use .4 oz bottles!

Compare to micro-encapsulated Demand CS.

How Cyzmic CS Works

Cyzmic CS is a water-based insecticide concentrate that targets dozens of structural, turf, and ornamental pests in a long-lasting formulation. The active ingredient Lambda-Cyhalothrin is one of the strongest in the synthetic pyrethroid class of insecticides. Designed to imitate the action of the natural pesticide pyrethrin (derived from the chrysanthemum flower), it quickly attacks the central nervous system of target pests. The primary advantages of this synthetic ingredient include longer residual, lower cost, lower rates, less odor, and longer shelf life. With the CapVantage technology of Cyzmic CS, you can use less product to get more even distribution of the active ingredient over your treatment area, helping to maximize your time, and money.

Encapsulation of the active ingredient also makes it more accessible to pests, especially on porous surfaces like raw wood or brick. Larger pests like roaches, scorpions, or spiders can pick up capsules with more active ingredient at a time, causing death more quickly. CapVantage also helps to coat leaf surfaces more evenly for treatment of flying insects like mosquitoes and ornamental pests like spider mites. The active ingredient not only stays in place, but it also is less susceptible to breakdown from sunlight and heat.

Target Uses for Cyzmic CS

Cyzmic CS is a versatile insecticide that is ideal for applications including: broad-spectrum perimeter pest control, crack and crevice indoor treatments, mosquito treatments, fire ant mounds, turf and ornamental pests, commercial applications, agricultural and industrial buildings, parks, recreational areas, athletic fields, food-handling establishments, livestock and poultry housing, and pet kennels.

Application Instructions

4 of 5 stars  Not bad, cheaper than Demand
By Dan in Payson, Utah on 02/27/2011

Cyzmic is a good product. I would say it does the job as well as the spendy Demand CS, given that it is the same generic formula. However, Cyzmic has some pretty intense fumes when mixed really heavy for a roach flush out or bed bugs. The smell is hardly noticeable for .015% dilution for spiders ect.

4 stars because I've only had this item for about a month. Used it to deter carpenter ants from entering the house, and yard bugs (silverfish, ants, earwigs, etc). So far so good. Based on the directions, you don't need to use much. An 8 oz. bottle will last a long time if you're a homeowner. Good buy.

By Michael in Riverview, FL on 11/03/2013

I got tired of paying $60 dollars locally for a bottle of Demand CS. I searched the web and came across this site which had it $20 dollars cheaper. I ended up buying the Cyzmic CS that contains the same active ingredients. I ordered on a Monday night and received it Thursday. This product works identical to Demand and took care of my pest problem. This company has great prices, product selection and fast FREE shipping. 5 stars everyday from a very happy customer.

5 of 5 stars  Great for scorpions
By Gene in Goodyear, AZ on 12/18/2012
    Verified Purchase

Had a problem I didn't know about. Found several bark scorpions in the house. These are the most dangerous. Got a scorpion light and went hunting. Must have had a nest outside somewhere. Bought Cyzmic CS and sprayed according to directions. Checked 2 days later and found about 8 dead ones plus ALL of the other bugs. If there is anything better on the market, I'd like to know what it is. I am really impressed with this product.

5 of 5 stars  Instant Gratification
By Aubrey in Houston Texas on 09/01/2016

I've been using this product at my home for over 5 years. So when I was vacationing with family in Miami, I ordered a bottle for my wife's sister that had a spider, ant and roach infestation. Two days after treating her property, she called me to tell me she keeps seeing dead bugs inside and outside everywhere. Even the gnats that flew around the porch light at nighttime were gone.

5 of 5 stars  It Works!
By Fred in Endicott, WA on 07/29/2017

We had horrible box elder bugs. We'd tried to kill them with soapy water but that didn't work. We tried wasp spray, ant spray, and nothing worked. Finally, we got Cyzmic CS. It was very expensive, but it worked. The bugs are not entirely gone yet, but with another couple of applications, the box elder problem should be gone for good. It also seems to have killed a bunch of other pesky pests as well.

5 of 5 stars  Great Product
By Michael in Dallas, GA on 07/16/2017

Great product for perimeter pest control because of its micro encapsulation qualities (works well on arachnids). I'm a certified commercial applicator and this is a great choice for perimeter as well as inside the home. Mild odor however it is perfectly safe around children and pets as long as the label is followed correctly.

4 of 5 stars  Works Great
By Timmy in Dickinson, TX on 07/13/2017

I mixed this with Stryker Multi-use Insecticide and Nyguard Insect Growth Regulator. I mixed using the clean out rate of 0.8 oz per gallon. The product along with others provided a quick knock down on spiders and other pests while providing a residual for continuous pest control and severing the production cycle of pests who survive the posioning, if any. Dries clear on surfaces. Does have a noticeable odor when mixed at this rate. I think I've found an excellent broadcast pest solution. 12 ml of Nyguard IGR, 1 oz of Stryker, and 0.8 oz of Cyzmic CS mixed in that order in a half gallon of water then topped off and mixed with other half gallon of water to produce a gallon of excellent pest clean out. Spiders and other pest problems resolved.

Wanted to find a good diy pesticide so decided to try this one because of all the good reviews but i'm not really sold on it yet. I saw some ants and other tiny bugs running away when i was applying it around the house outside even though i hardly smelled anything so was wondering if it was even strong enough or working in the first place. once i saw the bugs running i felt better but the next day bugs were still getting in my house somehow. will need to find something stronger.

By Josie in Ft. Myers, FL on 05/30/2017

I bought this and combined it with Gentrol IGR. I have not seen a roach in 2 weeks. I also have bait (make sure you don't mix the insecticide near the bait). All the products from this company are amazing they actually work. I has house guests bring German roaches in my house. First of all they're difficult to kill and reproduce rapidly. Very happy and roach free!! I sprayed for the first time and then again 2 weeks later.

QWill the residue from Cyzmic CS kill bed bugs?
Is the residue able to kill them for weeks like the BedLam spray? I want to do overkill and spray anything and everything in my house but that would take tons of cans of BedLam, so I need something I can mix for a sprayer. But I want the residue to still continue to kill the bed bugs for a few weeks. What is best for that?

A

Cyzmic CS is labeled for bed bugs and will kill them. You can apply Cyzmic every 21 days indoors. It is very important to follow the product label instructions and resist the temptation to spray 'anything and everything'. According to the Cyzmic product label :

Bed bugs: Clean floors and surfaces by vacuuming. Apply as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Do not apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures.

There is another product called Phantom that can last up to 30 days and it can be sprayed in all of the places the the Cyzmic can be sprayed in plus it can be used on the tufts, folds, seams and edges of mattresses and box springs. Phantom has the benefit of being non-repellent which means that insects cannot sense that it is there so they cannot avoid treated areas. There is no known resistance from bed bugs to the active ingredient contained in Phantom.

QIs Cyzmic CS safe for children and also is it safe when use on siding(will it damage it or not)?
We have a problem with ladybugs and box elder bugs. There are so many of them that is almost impossible to get into our house without leading some of them in to the house!

ACyzmic CS is very safe to use around children and animals as long as they are out of the area while you are spraying. They can return as soon as the area is dry. Cyzmic CS is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and will not break down easily with rainfall. It is also safe to apply to siding and we have never had an issue from our customers applying it on any surface. If the ladybugs and boxelder bugs are in your home, they most likely moved in during the fall. When the weather warms up, they will come out of their hiding places (usually wall voids, drop ceilings attics) and try to find their way outdoors. Unfortunately, after the ladybugs and boxelder bugs have gained entry there is not much you can do beyond vacuuming them up and applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol around the door frames and window frames and other cracks and crevices may give you some relief.

QDoes Cyzmic CS have the same residual (90 days) that Demand CS has?
Demand CS lasts up to 90 days. All I've been able to find about Cyzmic CS is "long lasting residual", which is very general. Has there been any real testing if it is really as good as Demand CS?

AThe Demand CS label also does not give a definitive time frame, but you are correct that it is well known that any product that is micro-encapsulated (like Demand CS and Cyzmic CS) are going to have a longer residual than most other products. Cyzmic CS is an exact generic version of Demand CS. While there are no immediate studies that we are aware of, we have received great customer feedback on Cyzmic CS and the results seem to be right in line with Demand CS.

QCyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide Compared to Knox Out (Micro encapsulated Diazinon).
I've used & like Knox Out which you don't sell. How does Cyzmic compare in terms of effectiveness?

AFor one thing Diazinon (Knox Out) was outlawed years ago and is no longer available.  As far as products left today Cyzmic CS is one of the best.  It has the longest residual of any of the products we sell and is labeled for just about anything you would want to treat.  It would be a great choice for your pest control needs.

QCan you mix Cyzmic CS with Talstar P?

A

There really is no reason to mix Cyzmic CS and Talstar P as they're both synthetic pyrethroids so there would be nothing to gain by mixing these products together. Mixing these two products would make the concentration too strong and instead may act as a repellent causing insects to simply avoid the treated areas prolonging the infestation.

QWould Cyzmic CS be good to use on my lawn to get rid of mites/ticks?
We have these super tiny red bugs that get on my puppy everytime he goes out on the lawn in southern California. At first, we thought they were baby ticks, then maybe mites of some sort. I've tried Permethrin SFR, but still see them. What is the best/strongest thing to use?

A

Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide†would be a great propduct to use as a lawn broadcast to kill and prevent clover mites and over 200 other labeled insects. Simply mix 0.8 oz per gallon of water and apply as a liberal braodcast spray over your entire lawn. Outdoor applications such as these would require a retreatment every 30-60 days. Be sure to keep children and pets out of the treated area until it dries completely. Once dry, it is completely safe for pets.†

QWhy isn't Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide working with carpenter bees?
I have mixed this at 1/2 oz per gallon of water. I sprayed there area of living twice. Today I mixed some up and actually sprayed them while they were flying/hovering around there nests and most of them shook it off like it was nothing. I may have killed one or two but what gives?

A

Cyzmic CS Micro-encapsulated Insecticide†does not kill on contact. The insect has to ingest the product or it has to make its way through the follicles into the insect. †It does not sound like it has been enough time to knockdown the population.††We also recommend to dust in the holes that are bored so that the larvae would be killed.
