For a cheaper alternative, try Equil Lambda 9.7 CS which has the same active ingredient, strength, and label as Cyzmic CS.
Cyzmic CS provides quick knockdown of insect pests in a powerful micro-encapsulated formulation (CapVantage) for long-lasting control and little to no odor. CapVantage Micro Encapsulation means that each droplet of insecticide is encased in a protective microscopic capsule, which provides a long residual even in direct sunlight. Micro cap also means the product can be more easily picked up by the tiny hairs on insects and especially flying insects. The micro-encapsulation also provides additional benefits to the applicator, including reduced exposure to the active ingredient. All-around, Cyzmic CS is a longer-lasting, more effective product on a wide range of insect pests including bed bugs, ants, mosquitoes, beetles, flies and more. Cyzmic CS can be reapplied at 21-day intervals if necessary.
Compare to micro-encapsulated Demand CS.

A little goes a long way!
By Todd on August 21, 2010
Verified Purchase4 stars because I've only had this item for about a month. Used it to deter carpenter ants from entering the house, and yard bugs (silverfish, ants, earwigs, etc). So far so good. Based on the directions, you don't need to use much. An 8 oz. bottle will last a long time if you're a homeowner. Good buy.

Not bad, cheaper than Demand
By Dan on February 27, 2011Cyzmic is a good product. I would say it does the job as well as the spendy Demand CS, given that it is the same generic formula. However, Cyzmic has some pretty intense fumes when mixed really heavy for a roach flush out or bed bugs. The smell is hardly noticeable for .015% dilution for spiders ect.

Great for scorpions
By Gene on December 18, 2012
Verified PurchaseHad a problem I didn't know about. Found several bark scorpions in the house. These are the most dangerous. Got a scorpion light and went hunting. Must have had a nest outside somewhere. Bought Cyzmic CS and sprayed according to directions. Checked 2 days later and found about 8 dead ones plus ALL of the other bugs. If there is anything better on the market, I'd like to know what it is. I am really impressed with this product.

Uninvited country guests
By Denise on May 4, 2012Living in a rural area, we have the best of all country scenes, our woods, a pheasant reserve across the road, and a huge running creek nearbye. And since we heat with wood means stacked wood piles around. But along with these 'Norman Rockwell' images means many different types of insects. There are wasps, ants, Asian Beetles, Boxwood Elders, large flys, and spiders that abound. Cyzmic CS Insecticide eliminates them all. Their untimely death is a welcome sight, especially when they have invaded our home. We will continue with this product along with smiles!!
Excellent
By Dan on September 16, 2012We have a lake house near Roosevelt that we had constant scorpion problems with. I tried locally available pesticides to no avail. Three weeks after applying this, no signs of scorpions yet!
Kills Bugs Dead!
By D on October 16, 2012
Verified PurchaseJust put it on about two weeks ago and is working great. The big test will be if it lasts a couple of months in Phoenix. Was mixed with Tempo CS.
Seems To Be Good
By Space.ace on April 21, 2013
Verified PurchaseWith summer approaching the scorpions can get pretty bad out here in AZ. I sprayed a strong perimeter around the house and in the garage and it seems to be working good so far.

QIs Cyzmic CS safe for children and also is it safe when use on siding(will it damage it or not)?
We have a problem with ladybugs and box elder bugs. There are so many of them that is almost impossible to get into our house without leading some of them in to the house!
ACyzmic CS is very safe to use around children and animals as long as they are out of the area while you are spraying. They can return as soon as the area is dry. Cyzmic CS is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and will not break down easily with rainfall. It is also safe to apply to siding and we have never had an issue from our customers applying it on any surface. If the ladybugs and boxelder bugs are in your home, they most likely moved in during the fall. When the weather warms up, they will come out of their hiding places (usually wall voids, drop ceilings attics) and try to find their way outdoors. Unfortunately, after the ladybugs and boxelder bugs have gained entry there is not much you can do beyond vacuuming them up and applying a residual insecticide such as Cy-Kick Aerosol around the door frames and window frames and other cracks and crevices may give you some relief.
April 14, 2011Darci asked:
QWill the residue from Cyzmic CS kill bed bugs?
Is the residue able to kill them for weeks like the BedLam spray? I want to do overkill and spray anything and everything in my house but that would take tons of cans of BedLam, so I need something I can mix for a sprayer. But I want the residue to still continue to kill the bed bugs for a few weeks. What is best for that?
A Cyzmic CS is labeled for bed bugs and will kill them. You can apply Cyzmic every 21 days indoors. It is very important to follow the product label instructions and resist the temptation to spray 'anything and everything'. According to the Cyzmic product label : Bed bugs: Clean floors and surfaces by vacuuming. Apply as a coarse, low-pressure spray to harborage areas including crevices, baseboards, loose plaster, behind bed frames and headboards, beneath beds and furniture, and to bedsprings and bed frames. Do not apply to furniture surfaces or mattresses where people will be laying or sitting. Infested bedding should not be treated, but should be removed, placed in sealed plastic bags, and taken for laundering and drying at high temperatures. There is another product called Phantom that can last up to 30 days and it can be sprayed in all of the places the the Cyzmic can be sprayed in plus it can be used on the tufts, folds, seams and edges of mattresses and box springs. Phantom has the benefit of being non-repellent which means that insects cannot sense that it is there so they cannot avoid treated areas. There is no known resistance from bed bugs to the active ingredient contained in Phantom.
September 18, 2010Dan asked:
QDoes Cyzmic CS have the same residual (90 days) that Demand CS has?
Demand CS lasts up to 90 days. All I've been able to find about Cyzmic CS is "long lasting residual", which is very general. Has there been any real testing if it is really as good as Demand CS?
AThe Demand CS label also does not give a definitive time frame, but you are correct that it is well known that any product that is micro-encapsulated (like Demand CS and Cyzmic CS) are going to have a longer residual than most other products. Cyzmic CS is an exact generic version of Demand CS. While there are no immediate studies that we are aware of, we have received great customer feedback on Cyzmic CS and the results seem to be right in line with Demand CS.
July 24, 2010Terri asked:
QWhat is the shelf life of Cyzmic CS?
ACyzmic CS, like most of our bottled liquid products, should have a shelf life of 2 to 3 years if stored in a cool dry place and out of direct sunlight.
May 18, 2011Kevin asked:
QAlready put down DE under baseboards and bed frame, do I need to vacuum them up before applying Cyzmic CS?
I already treated the room with DE for bed bugs. 1. Do I need to vacuum DE up before applying Cyzmic CS combined with Gentrol IGR? 2. If there is no need to vacuum the DE before Cyzmic CS combined with Gentrol IGR, is the DE still functional in regards to killing bed bugs -- after applying Cyzmic & CS? 3. Is it a big benefit to mix Cyzmic CS with Gentrol IGR, or should I apply them separately?
AYou do not need to vacuum up the Diatomaceous Earth. You can just apply the Cyzmic CS as needed, but you should try to direct the Cyzmic CS up on the baseboard and not directly over the DE. You should apply Gentrol IGR with the Cyzmic CS at the same time. They are applied in the same places so there is no reason to apply the products separately.
October 1, 2010Joe asked:
QWhat is best to use for stink bugs outside the home, on siding, soffiits etc?
I've heard Talstar P and Demand CS. Also, which dust should I apply my attic and garage?
AWe recommend you check out our Stink Bug Control Kit. This kit includes the products we recommend for stinkbugs; Demon WP insecticide with Cypermethrin, Eco PCO dust and a bellow hand duster for easy application. It is recommended that you begin treatments in early fall when they begin foraging in your home. Apply the products monthly during August through November for better control. We also carry an excellent indoor trap for stink bug control called the Strube Stink Bug Trap.
August 26, 2011James from Boston Ma asked:
QIs Cyzmic CS kill Bed bug eggs? Is any other products will kill the bed bugs eggs?
ACyzmic CS is not labeled to kill bedbug eggs. Both Bedlam aerosol and Sterifab are labeled to kill bedbugs and their eggs. You should note that even those products that can kill the eggs do not kill the eggs 100% of the time and repeat treatments every 7-10 days will still be required.
October 15, 2011Bill from Arizona asked:
QCompared to Knox Out (Micro encapsulated Diazinon).
I've used & like Knox Out which you don't sell. How does Cyzmic compare in terms of effectiveness?
AFor one thing Diazinon (Knox Out) was outlawed years ago and is no longer available. As far as products left today Cyzmic CS is one of the best. It has the longest residual of any of the products we sell and is labeled for just about anything you would want to treat. It would be a great choice for your pest control needs.
July 13, 2011Julia asked:
QDo I need a special applicator or tool to apply Cyzmic CS?
AYou will need a hand pump sprayer to apply Cyzmic CS. You can see our full line of hand pump sprayers by clicking on this link Hand Pump Sprayers.
September 26, 2011Skip from Pentwater, Mi asked:
QWhat are the symptoms found with dogs with exposure to Cyzmic CS?
He seems to be having trouble walking. I don't know if it was this product or some other problem.
AWe have never heard of any reaction by a dog when exposed to Cyzmic when it has been used as instructed on the product label. That being said, every animal is different and your dog is obviously having some sort of issue. You should contact your veterinarian immediately. For your convenience we have linked the Cyzmic product label and MSDS in our answer so you can print them and give them to the vet.
March 21, 2012Steven from Shelbyville,in asked:
QDoes Cyzmic CS control spiders? Will it kill Brown Recluse spiders?
I live in Indiana and just rented a home that is invested with spiders as well as silverfish and Roolie Pollies as I call them and also millipedes and some other pest or a mold bacteria that creates a pest of some kind but I need a good residual for Bacteria and pests and pet safe . Indiana State so thats where I am so The Heat is going to be the worse so the best is what I need for a many a pest and also something for the auto and the best residual on concrete as well as vinyl, wood, metal and yard
ACyzmic CS would be a good choice for general insect control and spider control. Even though Brown Recluse spiders are very scary to have in your house they are no harder to get rid of than any other spider. The hardest part of getting rid of the brown recluse is finding them since they like to remain hidden. Cyzmic CS would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. Spraying Cyzmic CS will also help to get rid of the insects (silverfish, sow bugs aka rollie pollies and millipedes) that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure. As for the mold or bacteria you have noticed, this problem would need to be treated with a different product. Boracare with Moldcare can be used to treat mold and certain wood fungus on unfinished wood. If you have a mold/bacteria problem in other areas you would need to contact a professional.
May 24, 2012Mike from Sleeper735@aol.com asked:
QCan I use cyzmic cs in a back back blower/sprayer
I was wondering if I can use cyzmic cs in my backpack blower/sprayer to cover my whole ground and house.
AAccording to the Cyzmic product label you can use a power spray to apply the product as long as you are applying it in approved areas. Cyzmic cannot be used in a fogger.
July 10, 2012Ken from Phoenix Az asked:
QHow much finshed dilution will 1 quart of cyzmic cs make at a the maximum legal percentage?
AThe highest labeled rate is .8oz per gallon of water. The quart bottle contains 32 oz. This equates to 40 finished gallons at the highest rate of application.
March 21, 2013Nathan from Sc asked:
QAt what rate do you use Cyzmic SC outdoors for mosquitoes?
I read the product label, I see where it says .2 oz per gallon, but then listed below that it has the concentration listed at .8 with note 4, which says use .6 for residual control. If I was going to spray outside of my home on the brick, eves, & shrubs & trees, at what rate would I use to kill & provide a residual for mosquitoes?
AFor mosquito control outdoors where the product will be in contact with UV rays and rain we recommend using the highest allowed usage rate which is 0.8 fl. oz. per gallon of water (0.06% active ingredient) as it will have the fastest knockdown and last the longest.
