Active Ingredient: Deltamethrin - 0.10%
The new, improved formulation for DELTAGARD® G Insecticide with DeltaGard delivers the strength of DeltaGard brand deltamethrin in a new water-dispersible carrier to provide quick knockdown and lasting control of ants and other crawling insects. Its smaller granule size enables easier calibration and spreading, and provides better coverage. In fact, its granules fall through vegetative cover and heavy mulch to effectively treat hard-to-reach areas where pests may be foraging, trailing, or nesting.
DeltaGard G does not have the potential to stain concrete or damage plants. And it even resists particle damage until water is added. Its cost-effective low application rate protects up to 10,000 square feet with a single 20-pound bag. The formulation has virtually no odor after application, and is available in new resealable plastic bags.
Delta Gard has the same active ingredient as Suspend SC insecticide, but in a granular form.
USE: DeltaGard G Granules can be used as a perimeter barrier or as a broadcast treatment over your entire yard and landscaped areas. We recommend using DeltaGard Granules with an Earthway spreader. One 20 lb. bag covers up to 10,000 square feet. Always read the label..
Tips for Use:
* DELTAGARD® G can be applied to home lawns for general lawn surface feeding insect pests and for perimeter pests. The rate is 2 to 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Granules can be applied with conventional spreaders or equivalent equipment, such as shaker cans.
* For lawn applications, optimum results are achieved when the granules are watered into the turf.
* For perimeter applications, treat a band 5 to 10 feet wide around and adjacent to the building.
* For ant mounds and nests and digger wasp ground nests, sprinkle 1 to 2 teaspoons over the nest.
* Red imported fire ant mounds can be treated with up to 1 teaspoon over each mound, and up to 2 feet around each mound. One gallon of water lightly sprinkled over the mound will dissolve the granules and improve control.

I used DeltaGard G Granules when I returned home after evacuating from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina. It was truly amazing how quickly and effectively the granules eliminated the flea, tick, and cockroach infestation that overwhelmed this entire area. I strongly recommend this product to any consumer seeking to make your living area and grounds safer and more healthy for you and your pets. I continue to use it periodically with outstanding results.

I have been using DeltaGard for the past 4-5 years. It was recomended by a pest control tech. (I won't name). In Florida bugs are everywhere and get into your house through every crack. Since using DeltaGard I have had NO bugs. I have also spread it around my neighbor's house and she also no longer has any kinds of bugs getting into her house. won't use anything else. A Great and effective product that does what it says it will.

DeltaGard G Granules
By Janice on August 9, 2010
Verified Purchase
I bought my first order last year. Had an influx of scorpions and got on line to DoMyOwnPestControl. They had videos on how to use the products that they sold and what they would do. Armed with that much needed information, I ordered the products that I used got rid of 99% of the horrible little scorpions, and had a few show up this year so I reordered. It worked. What more can you ask from a company or a product? I will order again in the future.

DeltaGard G
By Brad on April 29, 2013Purchased 2 bags to treat approximately 15000 sqft future building site that was covered with small black ants and large red ants. Treated the area using a Scott's SpeedyGreen 2000 and threw a extra hand full on the the red ant nests. Finished spreading just as it started to rain. When I returned a few days later, it was if I had not treated at all. In fact, the large red ants had moved the granules away from their entrance hole. $80 wasted.

Progressive bug control
By Deborah on September 28, 2012I had, or still have but diminishing, a Boxelder bettle infestation in my back yard. I used CYPER WP sprayed on the areas of aglomeration of the bug, and then I broadcasted DeltaGARD granules on the soil, to be sure to get all the stages of the bug. I am happy with the results so far, and will continue to use it.

Spittle Bug Control
By Stuart on September 12, 2012This product was recommended for control of two lined spittle bugs and it was ineffective. I don't know the source of the article, but I got it from the internet. I have used other Bayer Products in the past. I don't know why it didn't work. It was applied correctly and used in conjuction with Biffen liquid.

Works good
By Stephen on May 16, 2012Put this out spring of 2012, appears to have knocked down the spider population as well as the centipede. I have not seen any ticks either. Had a centipede problem last year but hopefully this keeps them at bay. Will be ordering another bag to spread once more this season.

August 29, 2009Nash asked:
QHow long do we need to wait before the dogs go back to the treated area after applying the DeltaGard Granules?
A Pets are permitted back in the treated area immediately after application. DeltaGard G Granules are a pet and children safe product when applied correctly because it is broadcast over lawn and garden areas and is applied in a small quantity.
July 4, 2010Debra asked:
QI live in Lancaster, Pa. We have a problem with cockroaches. They are referred to as Asian water bugs.
Will DeltaGard G Granules take care of my problem with the cockroaches in my yard, around my patio, deck and in the mulch? Will all of the products in this category work on the roaches. Most of the reviews seem to be re: ants...
ADeltaGard G Granules is labeled for roaches and should work fine for controlling them. You would want to apply every 2 to 3 months and make sure you water in the granules for faster results once you apply it. You can also apply before a rain event instead of watering the granules in yourself.
May 24, 2010John asked:
QHow far away from vegetables / nut/fruit trees do you have to be when applying DeltaGard G Granules?
AThe manufacturer states that when applying DeltaGard G Granules, you should apply them at least 10 feet away from a garden or the root line of a fruit/nut bearing tree. DeltaGard G Granules bonds to the top of the surface and will not get down in the roots, but 10 feet away is a good practice.
August 25, 2011Jessica from Gilbert, Az asked:
QAre Deltagard g granules effective for a scorpion problem?
I have read on many forums that people combine cy-kick with delta granules for a scorpion problem. Do the granules work well?
AWhile Deltagard granules are not labeled to kill scorpions directly the product will help get rid of many other insects which the scorpions use as their food source. When the other insects are gone the scorpions will naturally find your property less favorable and will move on to better hunting grounds or face starvation. Cy-Kick CS on the other hand should be used as a barrier spray around your home and any scorpion that ventures onto the treated area will be killed. By using these two products together you will be putting together a strong scorpion control program. Controlling scorpions will require a combination of both chemical and non-chemical measures. Please take a few minutes to read our article Scorpion Control to learn more ways to make your property less favorable to scorpions.
September 19, 2011Bill from George West asked:
QWhat do you recommend for leaf cutter ants?
ALeaf cutter ants can be a difficult pest to get rid of. The colonies are large and the ants make their own food so poison baits only have limited effects on this species of ants. According to several university websites Maxforce Complete Bait Granules containing hydramethylnon are some what effective, though they will usually eliminate only about 30% of a large colony in one treatment and will need to be reapplied several times. Deltagard granules is one of the only products actually labeled for leaf cutter ants. The product label recommends treating the mound directly and lightly watering the granules in. Again it may take several treatments to get the desired results. We also recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office to see if they have any recommendations for products that have worked for other people in your region.
January 27, 2012Preston from Palm Bay, Fl asked:
QIs Delta Guard a Bait for roaches?
ADeltaGard is not a bait, it is an insecticide granule that is broadcast outside and then watered in. DeltaGard is labeled to help control roaches that cross over areas that have been treated with the product. If you are looking for a bait granule for roaches you can use Advion Insect Granule Bait, Maxforce XComplete Granular Bait or Intice Fine Granular Bait.
July 16, 2010Joseph asked:
QWhich granule is best for springtails?
The granules I've found on the site for springtails either have Lambda-cyhalothrin or Deltamethrin as an active ingredient. Which would be most effective for springtails?
ABoth active ingredients would work very well for springtails. DeltaGard G, Demand G and Talstar Granules each have synthetic pyrethroids as active ingredients and each would work very well for spring tails. Our most popular spring tail granule is Talstar.
May 19, 2011Maggie asked:
QWhy can't I find the Power Force Granules anywhere anymore? Is it being sold under another name?
I cannot find anything that works as well as the Power Force Granules.
AUnfortunately we do not have any availability information on the Powerforce Granules as we are not the manufacturer and we do not carry over the counter products. We can tell you that Powerforce contains a synthetic pyrethroid as the active ingredient and that we carry several granules that would be very comparable. DeltaGard Granules are actually made by Bayer which is the same manufacturer that makes Powerforce.
October 6, 2009J asked:
QHow effective is DeltaGard G Granules on mole crickets?
ADeltaGard G Granules are actually not labeled to treat mole crickets. However, one of our most popular products for mole crickets is Demand G Granules.
November 10, 2010Barbara asked:
QWe have cutter ants that are destroying our fence lines and trees. We also have a pasture that is 35 acres.
We have tried several types of pesticides, and we need a commercial product.
AThe DeltaGard G Granules are our main professional grade granule that we carry that is labeled for leaf cutter ants. This would be your best option for taking care of leaf cutter ants.
June 29, 2011Nadia asked:
QIs DeltaGard G Granules effective for ticks? Can I use DeltaGard Granules inside?
A DeltaGard G Granules cannot be used indoors. Granule insecticides need to be watered in to be activated, something you would not be able to do in the house. Indoors you could use a product like Onslaught or Tengard SFR to control ticks. DeltaGard G Granules can be used to help eliminate ticks outdoors. You can read how to properly apply DeltaGard G Granules for tick control on page 5 of the product label on our website.
