Active Ingredient: Lambda-Cyhalothrin - 9.7%
DESCRIPTION: Demand CS is a microencapsulated water-based formulation offering superior insect control. Compared to older pyrethroid materials that have been used for many years with declining results, it is up to 200 times more active on flies and other animal health pests allowing lower rates. And it’s designed not only to work better, but to work longer. Demand CS controls over 30 insect pests including: Ants, Bees, Carpet Beetles, Centipedes, Cigarette Beetles, Cockroaches, Confused Flour Beetles, Firebrats, Fleas, Ticks, and more.
Demand CS combines an advanced generation pyrethroid with a unique capsule suspension formulation for outstanding protection against numerous perimeter insect pests.
Once the formulation has been applied and dried, lambda-cyhalothrin, the active ingredient, is released from the capsules. Control will occur primarily through direct contact of the insect pest with the capsules, with lambda-cyhalothrin transferring directly from the capsule to the cuticle of the insect. It is also possible for the capsules to be ingested in the case of insect pests which preen themselves such as cockroaches.
USE: Best applied with a 1 gallon sprayer. Apply to outside foundation and all entry points such as around windows, doors, etc. Always read the label completely before use.

We live at the base of the McDowell Mountains in North Scottsdale where crickets, spiders and scorpions are everywhere. I applied Demand CS right before sunset and the following morning it looked like an atomic bomb went off in my yard. Dead crickets, black widow spiders, cockroaches and last but not least the follow evening a slowly dying scorpion in our bedroom that accidentally crossed the wrong path. In nearly three weeks since we applied the product, I have yet to see ONE single cricket, spider, or cockroach. Great product!

We own a log home and have been plagued by carpenter bees. We have tried several other products: powders, liquids, professional and home store strengths and this is by far the best! It is non staining and easy to apply with a garden pump sprayer. After application, we watched the bees hover a minute and then decide to take up residence somewhere else. Those that stuck it out, were dead in the morning. It is almost instantaneous! We also applied it to our barn and found it killed bugs that we didn't even know we had a problem with. Try this product= it works!!!

Ants, crickets, and roaches no more...
By Gregory on April 15, 2009
We have tried several pest control companies to eradicate our recurring summer sewer roach problem to no avail. When the city treats the sewer drains and manholes, the roaches come into our yard and house. We also live in an area with crickets and tiny black ants. Nothing seemed to stop everything until we tried Demand CS. I read the label carefully and found that the strongest wipe out dose was for scorpions. I carefully measured, mixed, and sprayed the yard, block wall, foundation, windows and doors. The next morning was like a nuclear winter. Dead roaches, ants, and crickets everywhere. Our gardener cleaned them up like leaves. We now use the maintenance dose every three months and have not had a pest in a year. Awesome Stuff!!!

This is magic!
By Steve on September 4, 2008
Bought a neglected house with roaches all over the yard. After spraying 24 gallons of Dursban over a two month period I was still seeing too many roaches to count at night. I put Demand CS down and the next morning had over 60 dead roaches, 30+ more the following day and in 1 month and only 2 applications I'm down to 1 or 2 a day outside (dead) and none inside in a month. I've been outside at 11pm on hot nights and not seen one live roach! This is magic.

Demand CS kills fleas that we could never get rid of before. Dead on contact.
Bye bye beetles and boxelders!
By Don on May 22, 2013
Starting the next day after treating all the outside of my foundation and windows and doors, I noticed a noticeable decline in the indoor population of the pests that we have had all winter. We have had a very long protracted winter here in MN and have been dealing with the critters since last fall. Now, they are no where to be seen inside and I have as yet not had the chance to treat the inside of my home. To the people at DoMyOwnPestControl, thank you for this fine product!
works great, a miracle

I wasn't sure if this would work or not on a persistant Box Elder bug problem we have, but it did. Within about 4 hours after treatment, there was a band of dead box elders near the base of the exterior of the house and they have not returned. We would vacuum about 75-100 a day in the house, and now there are none.

Had a really bad tick problem, spent hundreds of dollars in between pest control company and vet for my dog but the ticks kept coming, I searched for tick control and decided to give this product a try. After two applications to the area in the backyard where my dog spends time the most I have not found a single tick in the house or on the dog, so I sprayed around the house too and all the bugs I see now are in a better place and I don't need the pest control company anymore.

Demand CS is a great product. This shipment, however, ended with almost 1/4th of the product in the box due to a leak. Vendor was very responsive and credited my account to address the lost volume, but I was disappointed as other vendors seal their shipments of chemicals in plastic to control these occurrences. Both for the safety of postal employees and the hassle I'll be reluctant to order from DMOPC again.
By Bob on April 21, 2013
I went out yesterday and sprayed along the steps leading to the house and was amazed at how quickly it drove the boxelder bugs away. Keep in mind it was cold and windy at the time. Time will tell. So far very please.
Successfull Results in Florida
By Robert on February 18, 2013
I used this product around our patio in Florida, the breeding place for ants! In the past 2 weeks, we have not seen them return! We are hoping they don't!

This is the second bottle of Demand CS I have bought. I bought the first years ago and have used it extensively. Paid $80 for the equivalent then, but it is still very economical when one considers the price of a professional. It goes a long way. We bought it because of brown recluse. It is the most effective pest control I have seen for this. I treat every three months and haven't seen a sign of them for years. Lent it to relatives and they have found it very effective against other pests. It does not kill on contact, but it kills, and is effective for a long time (the nature of its design). It is relatively safe for pets (we have dogs and cats), of course use obvious precautions - wear gloves, or at least eye protection when applying, and wash immediately if it come in contact with your skin
Bugs Be Gone!

Good Product! Would highly recommend. This product was suggested to me by a professional exterminator due to its long term effects on insects. Any critters that I see in the home/garage often DOA!
So far so good

We moved into our new home only to discover carpet beetles. We used this to spray the exterior and Steri-fab for the interior.

November 12, 2010 Laure asked:
QWhat's the difference between Demand CS and Suspend SC?
ABoth products have an active ingredient that is classified as a synthetic pyrethroid, so they really are very similar in the way that they work. Suspend SC contains the active ingredient deltamethrin and is a bit more versatile when it comes to bedbug treatments though as it can be sprayed on mattresses, carpets (spot treat only) and on furniture (crack and crevice only). Demand CS cannot. Demand CS contains the active ingredient lambda-cyhalothrin, and it is micro encapsulated which will make it last a little bit longer in outdoor applications.
April 10, 2010 Joe asked:
QWhat is the best exterior spray that you can use to keep insects off your house for the longest period?
What is the very best exterior spray that you can use to keep insects off your house for the longest period of time?
AOur most popular product that has the longest residual is called Demand CS. It lasts longer than most products, about 90 days. This is because it is microencapsulated which means the insecticide is covered in a thin capsule like coating which allows it to last longer and hold up better in rain and direct sunlight. Exact length of time will depend on where you live and environmental conditions.
August 14, 2009 Shanae asked:
QIs Demand CS safe to use around children and pets?
What's the risk of transfer since Demand CS is capsulated? For instance, we have hardwood floors and we vacuum the floors and the baseboards. Can the insecticide be transferred from the vacuum to another surface (such as when vacuum rugs and couches) and increase the risk of contact?
AIf you are applying the product correctly it should only be in cracks and crevices and other closed off areas. There should not be any issues with transfer effect like you are speaking of. Once you apply Demand CS, the tiny microscopic balls of insecticide will bond to porous surfaces and will not be removed by general cleaning or vacuuming. You should allow 30 minutes after application for the product to dry before cleaning or allowing children and pets to re-enter the room.
April 26, 2011 Sharon asked:
QDoes Demand CS kill stinkbugs?
AAbsolutely. Although stink bugs are not specifically on the label, they are a type of beetle and beetles are on the Demand CS label. Many of our customers buy Demand CS for stinkbugs and the customer feedback has been great in regards to the results.
April 29, 2011 Jen asked:
QWhat is the best product for killing box elder bugs?
AWe have numerous products that are labeled for killing box elder bugs that work excellent. Demand CS is definitely one of our most popular and will work great on box elder bugs. In addition, Demand CS is labeled for almost any other insect you could have an issue with and can be used safely indoors as well as outdoors. It also has a long residual which lasts up to 90 days. It would be a great choice.

Leigh from Jackson, Al asked:
QRecommend a chemical for indoors and outdoors, preferably micro-encapsulated.
The trend in pest control seems to be exterior-only treatments. That sounds like a great way to cut down on the amount of chemicals inside the home. Do you know which chemicals are being used or could you recommend one? I'm leaning toward a microencapsulated type such as Demand CS. Will it hold up well outdoors and keep the bugs out? Thanks.
ADemand CS would be a great choice for general pest control. It will hold up well to UV rays and rain and because it is a micro-encapsulated it works a little bit like a time released formula.

Peter from De T asked:
QWhat will help with stink bugs in an attic?
Can you use demand cs in attics were stink bugs are bad .I think they like going under insulation. If I spraying the insulation will it work to kill stink bugs ??? Thanks
AYou can use Demand CS is in the attic to help control the stinkbugs. Only the stinkbugs that come in contact with treated areas will be killed. We mention this because many of these pests will remain hidden and will not come out until it really starts to warm up so you may have pretty mixed results.
February 5, 2013 Andrew asked:
QCan Demand Cs be used outside in Cold weather?
During what type of temperatures should I not use Demand CS outside around the perimeter of the home.
AAs long as it is not freezing outside you can safely use Demand CS outdoors. Since the product is water based trying apply it in below freezing temperatures would not yield positive results.
February 4, 2013
Nick from Mo asked:
QWould Demand CS hurt the finish on marble floors?
ADemand CS is a water-based insecticide and should not cause damage to any surface that water would not damage.

Scott from Goldsboro, Nc asked:
QCan I spray Demand CS in bird cages to kill house flies?
I have a pair of doves in one cage and a Malakin Cockatoo in another cage. I clean the cages on a reglar basis, however, I have a problem with house flies. Can I spray Demand CS in the bird cages to kill house flies?
AWe know that birds can be especially sensitive to any chemicals so we do not recommend spraying any chemicals in the actual cages without consulting with your veterinarian.

Jim from Vt asked:
QI would like to know the shelf life of Demand CS on an opened container.
ADemand CS has a shelf life of about 3-5 years from the date of purchase. The product should be stored in a place where it is protected from over heating, freezing and direct sunlight to ensure the longest shelf life possible.

Laura from Columbiana Ohio asked:
QI want to spray my lawn for FLEAS, I just bought bought 1 quart of Demand CS, will 1 quart be enough?
My lawn is infested with fleas.
AAt the highest usage rate you will use .8 fl oz of Demand CS per gallon of water to cover a 1,000 sq ft area so each quart of Demand CS will make 40 finished gallons of solution which will treat 40,000 sq ft.

Paul from Butler, Ky asked:
QCan or should I use Demand CS with Delta dust for carpenter bees?
AYou should use Demand CS in conjunction with Delta Dust for carpenter bee control. Spraying Demand CS topically will help stop new bees from coming in and drilling holes. You should mix Demand CS according to the product label and apply the spray to surfaces where the bees are known to land or drill.

Ervin from Belize asked:
Qcan i spray DemandCs when the weather is bleaky and rain off and on?
if i spray DemandCS just before it rains will the rain wash the chemicals off ?
AYou should wait to apply Demand CS on a day when rain is not expected. The product cannot adhere to wet surfaces and rain would wash it away if the application had not had a chance to dry before the rain came.
