From the makers of Demand CS comes a new granular insecticide for your lawn--Demand G. Labeled for lawn, landscape, and perimeter use, Demand G is an innovative granular insecticide that provides powerful protection against nearly 30 species of pests (including ants, beetles, mole crickets, earwigs, firebrats, millipedes, mites, silverfish, chinch bugs and more). When used outside, Demand G Granules form a barrier of protection against unwanted pests around your home. It is an ideal product for windy or rainy days when spray or liquid formulas would be rendered ineffective by weather conditions. Granule perimeter treatments are typically applied in a band of up to five feet wide around the house and can be applied to soil, ornamental plants, mulch, and lawn. Once Demand is applied, its active ingredient—lambda-cyhalothrin— begins working to disrupt the nervous system of any pest that comes in contact with it in just minutes. After the first use, you should not see traces of your target pest for several months. However reapplication may be necessary depending on the severity of the problem, climate, and other factors. 25 lb bag.

Directions for Use:
Demand G Insecticide may be used for applications to maintain interior plantscapes or outdoor areas where turf and ornamental ground covers are grown such as residential landscaped areas and nonresidential landscapes around institutional, public, commercial and industrial buildings, parks, recreationalareas, and athletic fields.
Broadcast Demand G Insecticide with suitable application equipment to ensure uniform coverage over the treatment area. The application rates listed in the Lawn and Perimeter Use Rate table on the product label will provide excellent control of the respective pests under typical conditions. Use higher use rate for longer length of control. Watering (irrigation or rainfall) following application will dissolve the granules and release the insecticide. Make no more than 6 general applications per year. More frequent treatments should be limited to spot treatments.
SPECIFIC USE DIRECTIONS
Band Treatment around Foundation For control of ants, beetles, crickets, earwigs, firebrats, millipedes, mites, silverfish and sowbugs as commonly found around or near foundation of structures as well as in yards. Applying a continual band of insecticide around a building foundation can greatly reduce the potential for entry by crawling pests. For optimal control, remove debris and leaf litter from next to the foundation, cut back vegetation and branches that touch the foundation, and move or rake back rocks, deep mulch, or other potential pest harborage next to the foundation prior to application. Apply a 3 to 5 foot band of granules next to the structure foundation. Apply at the rate of 2 to 3 lbs. per 1000 square feet. Distribute granules uniformly. For optimal control, water lightly to dissolve granules.
General Lawn Application For control of ants, armyworms, centipedes, crickets, cutworms, earwigs, grasshoppers, green June beetles, Japanese beetles (adult), leafhoppers, millipedes, mites, pillbugs, sod webworms, spider mites, spittlebugs and springtails. Apply at the rate of 2 to 3 lbs. per 1000 square feet with a fertilizer spreader when grass is dry. For best results, water lawn lightly to dissolve granules. For control or suppression of billbugs, chinch bugs, dung beetles, green June beetle grubs, Hyperodes weevils, Japanese beetle grubs and mole crickets, immediately water grass thoroughly after application.
• For billbug control, apply when activity is first observed or when chewed or brown grass indicates damage from these insects.
• For grub suppression, except dung beetle, treat any time between late July and early October. For dung beetle grub suppression, apply in spring or early summer when damage is first noticed. For best results, water grass thoroughly with 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water as soon as possible following application. Treat again in late summer or early fall if a second generation occurs.
• For chinch bugs, use higher rates during summer when both nymphs and adults may be present.
• For mole crickets, make applications for adults during early spring when grass areas may be subject to continuous invasion. For best results, apply as late in the day as possible and water in with up to 0.5 inches of water as soon as possible following treatment. When the soil is not moist, irrigation before application will bring mole crickets closer to the surface to enhance contact with the granule. Applications at the time of peak egg hatch will increase control of early nymphal stages that are more susceptible to insecticides. As nymphs mature, higher rates may be necessary.
Spot Treatment for Ants
For general ant control, apply 2 teaspoons over and around each ant hill. Lightly water to dissolve granules. Apply water gently to avoid disturbing ants, first breaking any soil crust if necessary to ensure water penetrates the nest. Use of high pressure watering equipment may disturb the ants and cause migration reducing product effectiveness.
NOTE: For best results, apply in cool weather, 60° to 80° F or in early morning or late evening hours. Treat near mounds as they appear. Difficult or extensive ant infestations will benefit from a combination of broadcast treatments and spot applications. If soil is not moist, irrigate before application to bring ants closer to the surface to enhance control with Demand G Insecticide granules.

Awesome product!
By Allison on September 1, 2011
Verified PurchaseFor the money and size of the bag its a great deal compared to competitors. I used my manual grass seed spreader for this product and it worked great. I FOLLOWED the instructions to kill grasshoppers and crickets and was amazed with the results. The description states that it could take weeks to months to fully take effect. After 2 hours I walked out into my yard and saw over 30 dead grasshoppers and crickets in my front lawn alone! I LOVE this product. Now I have enough still left over to treat in the future.

GOOD STUFF
By The on June 13, 2011
Verified PurchaseRecommended by my bug control guy. Good stuff, according to what I found on the Internet and others experience and a good price too. The only thing neg. about the product is that I could not find a spreader setting anywhere on the bag. So I went ahead and laid down what I thought would be appropriate for the conditions for this type of powerful bug control.
Millipedes still here
By Barbara on September 1, 2011
Verified PurchaseThis product had no impact on the millipedes, but that is why we purchased it; it was advertised and killing millipedes. Very disappointed. Still looking for something that will help.

Help for Crane Fly
By Amanda on March 13, 2013
Verified PurchaseWe have crane fly problems every year with our lawn. We've yet to lose it, but they are a terrible infestation that we battle. Previously we used a wonderful lawn service (who unfortunately were overtaken by True Green). The previous person who cared for my lawn exclusively used this product to treat for crane fly and other insects. I'm so happy I can do it myself. Our yard is 5,000 sq. ft. I actually applied the product myself yesterday with a spreader. Seems like I'll get several applications out of this bag. As for the service with this website site, they have been great and proactive with follow-up, ship dates, etc. So far, very good.
3 yrs going and still The Best!
By Trent on May 16, 2013
Verified PurchaseI had a sugar ant problem that extended into my house and a wolf spider issue in my back yard, both in the rock edging and grass. I also had occasional issues with crickets, Rollie pollie bugs, and Mosquitos. A pest control company came around door to door wanting to sign me up and I was really considering it. I asked what product the used and this was the one. When I saw I could buy and apply myself for a fraction of the cost it was a no brainier!! After the very first application I noticed a huge difference! There were dead bugs all over!! I use this product along with the liquid version (around the exterior parameter and baseboards in my home) and after applying the granules in the yard, the liquid as described above, I have NOT had a bug problem inside or outside my home. I live in CO and apply 2/yr, now only as a preventative maintenance measure. This stuff is awesome and I recommend it to anyone who mentions they have bug problems. BTW it's surprising how little of this product you have to apply for it to be effective. A++++++++

March 5, 2010Jim asked:
QWhat can I use to make my lawn less attractive to moles?
I want to use a granular treatment around the perimeter of my house to prevent a wide variety of insects and make that area less attractive to moles. What do you recommend? I live in central Illinois, close to a wooded area. I have used Talprid for mole invasions. I also have perimeter plastic monitoring stations with wood in them. I have used Bifen IT &LP in spring and fall, but feel there may be some more effective chemicals.
AWhile Bifen LP and Bifen IT are great products they are not labeled for grubs, a favorite food source for moles. We recommend trying Demand G granules. Demand G is labeled for over 30 soil dwelling insects that moles love to feed on. Demand G works great for whole lawn treatments, perimeter applications and spot applications.
September 5, 2009Sandra asked:
QAre Demand G Granules effective against fleas and mites?
ADemand G Granules are labeled for mites, but they are not labeled for fleas. The only granules we have that are labeled for mites and for fleas actually is the Cyonara LP Granules. Cyonara LP Granules have the same active ingredient as the Demand G Granules so technically the Demand G Granules should kill fleas, but it is not listed on the label.
May 5, 2010Charlie asked:
QIs Demand G pet safe?
AYes. Demand G is safe to use around pets as long as you follow the label instructions; pets need to be out of the area while the application is being made and they can return as soon as the area is dry.
July 13, 2011Joyce asked:
QWill I have to dig underneath the plastic and stone to apply Demand G Granules for millipedes?
Is this a sure thing to kill millipedes? Bought many products don't work on millipedes.
ADemand G is labeled for millipede control and will help you limit their numbers greatly. According to the Demand G product label: "For optimal control, remove debris and leaf litter from next to the foundation, cut back vegetation and branches that touch the foundation, and move or rake back rocks, deep mulch, or other potential pest harborage areas next to the foundation prior to application". You should not rely solely on chemical control. There are ways to modify the environment immediately around your home to discourage insects from moving in. Please take a few moments to read our article How to Get Rid of Millipedes to learn how to make your property less desirable to this pest.
