Get rid of pesky fleas with Demize EC, an excellent choice for light or heavy flea infestations. Unlike many insecticides that leave you with an unpleasant lingering after-scent, Demize EC has a pleasant orange scent that deodorizes the air as you spray. Demize EC is concentrated liquid that should be added to water and directly applied with a gallon sprayer to problem areas such as rugs, carpets, furniture, pet bedding, baseboards, and cracks and crevices. Apply 3 fl oz per gallon of water for each 1000 square feet for heavy infestations, and 2 fl oz per gallon of water for each 1000 square feet for lighter infestations. While Demize EC is safe to use on pet resting areas, it should never be applied directly to your pet. 16 fl oz.
For heavy infestations, combine with an IGR product such as Nylar IGR for quicker knockdown and effective control.
Mix Demize EC with Nylar IGR and Conquer EC to get quick knockdown, long residual control of adults and up to 210 days of insect growth regulation.

Demize EC
By JC on July 24, 2011
Verified PurchaseIt took three applications of Demize EC and Precor IGR to finally control the sand flea infestation which is epidemic due to a severe drought here in East Texas. The first application was done with four ounces of Demize and two ounces of Precor in two gallons of water which was sprayed onto the floor in two successive application on immediately after the other. The second and third applications were done with two ounces of Demize and one ounce of Precor in one gallon of water. The second application was done a week after the initial treatment and third application was done a week after the second application. It thus took two weeks (fifteen days) to do the three treatments, and about eighteen days after the first application the fleas had disappeared. Haven't had any more fleas since. The only thing I found slightly objectionable about Demize EC is the odor. But it is a trade off between an "orange" scent and the normal insecticide chemical odor. Fortunately it didn't linger for very long. It is a small price to pay for the effectiveness demonstrated by a mixture of Demize EC and Precor IGR.

Good flea control
By K. on December 30, 2011
Verified PurchaseI own a dog kennel and use Demize EC for our flea control. It works absolutely great. It is easy to dilute and has a good dilution ratio. While I wouldn't call the smell fantastic it's not offensive and, more importantly, it dissipates quickly. I recommend this product for flea control and/or problems.

Easily Controls Fleas
By Darrell on August 9, 2012I have been using this product along with Precor for several years after doing some in depth research on flea control.Having 4 cats and a dog it sometimes gets to be a challenge when the flea season starts. The key to controlling fleas is to vaccuum and spray on a regular basis, normally every other day for a week.I treat the wood floors and furniture with no problems to either and no side effects to the animals.Very Happy!!
Minor help in dealing with fleas
By Terry on February 8, 2013
Verified PurchaseI've tried many products in different combinations to battle a flea infestation. It's really weird, we never find adult fleas any more, probably due to using an insect growth regulator (Nylar), but we are still plagued with the larvae. It seems spraying regularly is the only way to fight them so we wanted something less toxic. Demize fits the bill but it only helps for a few days.
Problem Infested Carpet Areas

Verified PurchaseUsed Demize EC and Precor IGR as per labels for heavy flea infestation; the results, after application, were more than positive. The family of five had been a blood meal for fleas till the application of Demize EC and Precor IGR to their home. I would recommend this product and I do enjoy its pleasant scent.

QI have four cats indoors, plus outside cats that live under my porch, is this product going to do the job?
I ordered Demize EC for flea control. I have four cats indoors, plus outside cats that live under my porch, is this product going to do the job?
ADemize EC is a great choice for flea control because it kills all stages of fleas. It is also very safe for use around pets. However if you have a bad infestation, we highly recommend adding its counterpart, Demize Nylar IGR. Adding the Demize Nylar IGR will provide long term control and slow down the fleas ability to reproduce which will provide quicker results.
March 27, 2013Yane from Clearwater, Fl asked:
QHello, is Demize EC a good product to use indoor to spray ticks? Any recommendations?
ADemize EC is not labeled for tick control. We recommend the items that come in out Tick Control Kit.
The Tick Control Kit provides you with the professional products necessary to control ticks in and around your home. Unlike other kits you may find, the Do My Own Pest Control kits contain the most effective products available based on the most current research. This kit contains 1 quart (32 oz.) bottle of Permethrin SFR 36.8% and 1 pint (16 oz.) bottle of Archer IGR. Please read below for more information. Permethrin SFR is a broad spectrum insecticide that offers a quick knockdown of target pests as well as a long lasting residual that lasts for about 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors. This product may be used indoors and outdoors on turf, lawns, and ornamentals. Archer IGR is an Insect Growth Regulator that is also photo-stable, meaning that it does not break down easily in direct sunlight. You can use Archer IGR to control insect populations both indoors and outdoors. The Archer IGR unique mode of action disrupts the life cycle of ants, fleas, flies, ticks, cockroaches, mosquitoes and beetles leading to effective population control.
