5 of 5 Stars  Great Stuff
By Steven on April 23, 2013

I have been using the active ingredient Cypermethrin for almost 5 years as an indoor and outdoor pest control product. It is a great chemical and does wonders to control roaches and ants. The residual effect is nice providing for less applications through the year. It also does not afffect my pets who have shown sensitivity to other pesticides.

5 of 5 Stars  Demon EC (Max)
By Lance on June 26, 2013

I have used this stuff for over 10 years; beginning in a rental house that had sat empty for over 3 years and was full of all manner of creepy crawlies. One application of Demon (the first time I'd used it) and they all died a quick and horrible death, leaving the house bug free and inhabitable. It even de-bugged a 18 year old mobile home I lived in while my current house was being built. It's rare for a product to work as well as advertised, but Demon is the real deal.

Highly recommend this product. I have been using Terminex services for years and it is quite expensive. I tried Demon Max and it works perfectly. Roaches are dead outside the house and never make it in. I only have to treat the outside perimeter of my home.

5 of 5 Stars  Best I have used so far.
By Stan on September 8, 2013

Out of all the products I have tried so far Demon Max has proved to be the best. As a landlord of 72 properties, I have tried many products over the years. Demon Max has been very effective and versatile. It has been mixed to do everything I encounter, RoAcHeS, fleas, termites, spiders and ants.

By Kevin on April 7, 2014

We bought this product to control ants and other pests which our "professional" extermination company couldn't control. The day the product arrived I mixed 2-gallons per the instructions and sprayed the perimeter of the house. Then next day I walked the perimeter and saw nothing but dead ants, crickets, spiders, etc. We were paying $63/quarter for a service and figure this $26 bottle will last us a year netting a savings of over $225. Three words; buy this stuff! As an aside, domyownpestcontrol.com fulfilled every promise and delivered on time.

I use Demon Max as a perimeter spray and it works great controlling spiders, ants, and bees around the outside of my house. The only drawback I have found is the smell. It has a very strong odor.

By Denise on December 7, 2013

Found myself with a bug problem.....the ones everyone hates.....roaches. Tried numerous other products and ways to get rid of the dang things. Nothing worked!! I have children and remembered every horrible story about roaches in ears, noses, etc. Desperately searched online for answers and the consensus was Demon Max!! I ordered used as instructed for cleanout and holy demons, it cleaned them out and showed me exactly where the nest was. Rotting wood & counter in my kitchen!! Oh, I was freaking out but so very happy. Two weeks later followed up with maintenance strength and so far so good. I am not scared to walk in the kitchen nor am I fearing for my children to sleep. We are now onto the quarterly spraying cycle and am looking forward to staying free of those disgusting things!!! It does what it says!!

  • 5 of 5 Stars  New Orleans Cockroaches
By Justin on October 27, 2013

I must say the stuff works. My wife moved in and was terrified of the cockroaches, which I had grown accustomed to since the city wouldn't let me cut down my oak tree. Anyway, I sprayed Demon Max around my house and on the window sills. Every time we found a cockroach, they were either drunk and about to die or dead on their back. This stuff also kills flying insects after they land in it. I watched a fly land on a treated window sill. The fly jumped down from the window sill on the floor. It didn't die immediately but it wouldn't fly either. A few minutes later, he was dead. All insects that managed to get inside from my windows, died on my window sills. Just had a baby in July and the in-laws were concerned about the baby and the use of Demon Max. Even though the product description says its kid and pet safe, I stopped in-house use and went outside with it. Again, this stuff works. Its been about 2 weeks and I I've only seen one cockroach make it in the house for his final resting place. I've also seen a few dead on the outside of my house. The fact that its oiled based is a good deal too, since it rains pretty often in New Orleans. Also, Demon Max uses the same active ingredient you'll find in Raid. So if you're wondering if it works...does Raid? (rhetorical question)

This product worked so well last time I purchased it, I bought more. I have not seen a roach or spider around my house since I started using the product. I was using a professional pest extermination service which was super expensive and still had problems...recommend you to try this product. Inexpensive, no odor, and keeps insects away!

I started using this product 6 months ago. I did have pest control service and the rates were skyrocketing so I decided to try this on my own. Since I have started using Demon Max, I have not had one single roach at my house. I used to have a bad fire ant problem too but used this product on them and it has done wonders. Awesome product!

February 25, 2013 Amanda from Downsville, La asked:

QWhich is better, Talstar P or Demon Max?
I am trying to control Ants, Mosquitoes, Wasps, Bees, Flea and Ticks. I used Talstar last year and I am just curious on which is better.

ABoth are going to offer a good kill and a long lasting residual though initially Demon Max may have a faster kill because it is oil based. On the other hand because Demon Max is oil based it could stain old paint/siding and it does have an odor.

March 19, 2013 Karen from Kerens, Texas asked:

QSince Demon Max stains, what color is it?

AThe product is a very light tan. It is the oil itself in the product that will stain so in most cases it leaves an oily residue behind which can stain old paint or old siding.

February 19, 2013 Heather from Austin Tx asked:

QHow much Demon Max is needed to treat x amount of square feet?
I am just wondering how much to order. I have decks and back up to a large vegetation on a veloway. How often do I need to treat etc. that will help me determine how much to order. Thanks

A

Barrier Treatment for Pests around Structures:

Apply Demon Max as a 0.1% emulsion (1/2 fl oz per gallon of water) to a band of soil and
vegetation 6-10 ft. wide around and adjacent to the structure. Also, treat the foundation of the structure to a height of 2-3 ft. Use a treatment volume of 2-10 gal. per 1000 sq. ft.
Higher volumes of water may be needed if mulch or leaf litter is present or dense foliage exists. House siding may be treated if boxelder bugs, elm leaf beetles, earwigs, silverfish
or other similar pests are present. Reapply every 1-3 months as pest pressure builds back up.

February 12, 2013 Bobby from Nashville asked:

QWhat is the ratio of Demon Max for mosquitoes and how does it compare?
how many oz of demon max do you use per gallon of water for residual mosquito control, how long does it leave a risidual? and how does demon compare to bifen it?

AYou should use 1/2 fl oz of Demon Max per gallon of water for mosquito control and you will need to reapply once per month to maintain control. Bifen IT and Demon Max will have very comparable results for mosquito control though Bifen IT is water based and non-staining and is more widely used by professionals for mosquito control.

April 6, 2014 Paul from New London, Ct asked:

QIs Demon Max effective for termites?

A

Demon Max is labeled for termites but for a longer protection and control, you should apply a non-repellent liquid concentrate such as Termidor SC, Taurus SC or Dominion 2L. Below I have included a termite treatment article that will be very helpful if you plan to treat them yourself.

March 30, 2014 Etha from Columbia Ky asked:

QCan we clean where Demon Max was sprayed?
It was sprayed inside and outside for cockroaches. My wife is very concerned with the indoor being sprayed. (ie. baseboards, behind fridge and drive and even on the back edge of counter tops.) We have a 1 year old so she's feeling around everywhere. Is it safe for her or can we clean it and still be effective? Also, with the counter tops. We usually have dishes and coffee maker things like that is it safe for these things? Thanks!

A

The treated areas should be cleaned prior to application of Demon Max. It is recommended that you treat indoor cracks and crevices including the baseboards, behind the refrigerator etc. We do NOT recommend applying to the counter tops or prep surface areas with the product. Those areas should be cleaned with regular household products not insecticides. We recommend that you clean out cabinets and drawers and apply a professional roach bait gel to the crevices. QCan you spray NyGuard IGR and Demon Max around rabbits?
We have an infestation of fleas under our house because there are rabbits living under there.

A Demon Max is labeled to treat fleas on the exterior of the structure. It is safe for rabbits and other animals when Demon Max and NyGuard IGR are applied and dried completely before they re-enter the treated spaces.

October 4, 2013 Jmg from Plantation asked:

QI sprayed Demon Max on my carpets, baseboards, etc for dog tick infestation-2wks apart. Why do I still see them
I sprayed every inch of the baseboards to every corner to every crack - 1-2 ft above and down. 1oz to 1 gallon. I sprayed my carpet and everything - why am I still finding brown ticks even though I used this Demon Max?? Does this stuff kill ticks or what?

A

Demon Max is not to be applied on surfaces that come in contact with the skin or broadcast to the open carpeted areas.  It is labeled to kill ticks but for indoor use you are very limited in where you can apply it, as a crack and crevice or spot application to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, and stoves, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas.  How long it takes the ticks to die after they come into contact with a treated area will depend on a number of factors. It will depend on the maturity of the tick as well as how long they stayed on the treated area, how long it has been since the area was treated and the concentration that was used to treat the area. Demon Max is a great product for tick control - and you used the correct dosage. Typically it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day or so for them to die. It can take several weeks for you to stop seeing ticks indoors because the ticks like to stay hidden which also means they could be staying out of treated areas and eggs may hatch out prolonging the infestation. We recommend doing follow up treatments every two weeks at the highest usage rate of 1 oz of product per gallon of water until you do not see any ticks.
We recommend using an IGR such as Archer IGR in combination with the insecticide that you choose. IGRs (insect growth regulators) will interrupt the growth cycle of juvenile ticks which will stop them from being able to mate and lay eggs

September 23, 2013 Jason from Fort Lauderdale, Florida asked:

QWhat should I do now that I treated my couch with Demon Max? What happens with overapplication?
I sprayed 2 times in the same 24 hrs. I sprayed my entire couch so do I have to throw out the couch? I was finding ticks in my couch because the dogs would sometimes sleep on my couch.

A

Demon Max is not to be applied on surfaces that come in contact with the skin or on the surface area of the couch. Please contact the manufacturer for instructions on the treatment/cleaning of the couch. They can be reached at 866.796.4368.

We recommend the following for treatment of ticks:

Make sure the property around your home is unattractive to ticks. Because ticks are sensitive to dry conditions and do not thrive in short vegetation, they are seldom a problem in well-maintained lawns. Keep your grass mowed and keep weeds cut. Clean up items that attract rodents which can carry ticks, such as spilled birdseed, and hiding places like old wood piles. If ticks are present in vegetation along the edge of the property, insecticides labeled for control of ticks can be applied to small areas of high weeds that cannot be mowed. Often, one or two applications per season will be adequate to control ticks in these areas.

Free-roaming dogs and cats are much more likely to encounter ticks than those that are confined to the home or yard. If ticks are found on pets, contact your veterinarian for information about an appropriate tick treatment. Remove the occasional tick found indoors by vacuuming, seal the vacuum bag and place it in the trash. Owners of kennels or homes infested with the brown dog tick may wish to contact a professional pest control company for assistance.

QWas it ok to treat my couch with Demon Max? I used an IGR in the mix as well.
I still have been seeing ticks even though I treat all the baseboards, carpets, corners, crevices, couches, door frames, etc. How effective is this treatment and when should I reapply? Can I over-apply? I need some real help with these dog ticks.

A Demon Max is not to be applied on the surface of couch or other surface areas where there is contact with the skin. It is only to be applied in cracks and crevices. It can be applied every 3 months for indoor control and 30 day outdoor control. If applied sooner than the recommended time, it could result in over application which may change the results you are seeking. Make sure the property around your home is unattractive to ticks. Because ticks are sensitive to dry conditions and do not thrive in short vegetation, they are seldom a problem in well-maintained lawns. Keep your grass mowed and keep weeds cut. August 14, 2013 Kermit from Paige, Texas asked:

QWhat is the interval to be used for spraying and respraying Demon Max? 30 days, 90?
I have a quarterly spraying set up, but the scorpions start appearing before the 90 period is up.

A Demon Max can be applied every 30 days outdoors and every 90 days indoors for the most effective control.

June 30, 2013 Glen from Spicer, Mn asked:

QHow effective is Demon Max on controlling Wood Ticks and also Deer Ticks
We have a acreage with water on three sides. I do keep the lawn to 3 inches, all leaves and sticks are always picked up at current time we have no pets. What is the mixture rate for killing Wood Ticks, does it also kill Deer Ticks. How long under normal conditions would a application for ticks last? How soon for a re-application? Can tree's be directly sprayed? After the kids and I have been outside we typically take three (3) to six (6) ticks off of one person. H E L P..

A You want to mix 1 fl oz of Demon Max with 1 gallon of water. You would want to reapply outdoors once every 30 days and indoors once every 3 months. We would also recommend mixing a an insect growth regulator in your demon max regulator. Archer IGR works very well and will disrupt the tick life cycle. Yes, you can spray in, on and around buildings and structures; on soil, lawns, turf and vegetation; under and surrounding building foundations; and for spot or crack-and-crevice treatments.
