Demon WP Insecticide

Demon WP is an excellent professional insecticide that's perfect for crack and crevice and/or spot applications for residual and contact control of Ants, Carpenter Ants, Cockroaches, Crickets, Spiders and many other insect pests. Demon WP can be purchased as either an envelope of four water-soluble packets (shown here) or a Demon WP one-pound jar (equal to 12 envelopes of Demon) with a scooper for easily making up to 48  gallons of solution. Demon should be applied with a poly sprayer.

Demon WP (Water-soluble Packets) Insecticide is for crack and crevice and/or spot applications for residual and contact control of Ants, Carpenter Ants, Cockroaches, Crickets, Spiders and certain other insect pests. The Demon WP water soluble packets make mixing and use very easy when used with a 1 gallon compressed air sprayer. (See our selection of sprayers in our “Tools and Sprayers” section). Demon WP is for crack and crevice or spot treatment for residual and contact pest control in, on and around buildings and structures and their immediate surroundings and on modes of transport. Permitted areas of use include, but are not limited to, industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, laboratories, buses, greenhouses and the nonfood/feed areas of stores, warehouses, vessels, railcars, trucks, trailers, aircraft (cargo and noncabin areas only), schools, nursing homes, hospitals (non-patient areas), restaurants, hotels and food manufacturing, processing and servicing establishments.

Demon WP Authorized by the USDA for use in inedible product areas in Federally inspected meat, poultry and egg processing plants.

Each foil envelope of Demon WP Insecticide in Water-Soluble Packets contains four water-soluble packets of Demon wettable powder (WP). The foil envelope must be opened for use. Because water-soluble packets readily dissolve in the presence of moisture, do not allow them to get wet before adding to the applicator tank.
Wear dry gloves when handling the water-soluble packets. Handle with care because excessive handling may cause rupture of the water-soluble packet. Unused water-soluble packets should be stored in the original foil envelope, folded over to minimize exposure to moisture.
Demon WP Insecticide in Water-Soluble Packets are intended for dilution with water for applications. For best results, dilution should be achieved if the following steps are taken:
1. Fill applicator tank 1/2 with water.
2. Add desired Demon WP Insecticide in Water-Soluble Packet(s).
3. Allow 1-2 minutes for dissolution of water-soluble packet(s).
4. Agitate, stir or shake applicator tank.
5. Finish filling applicator tank and agitate again before use to ensure satisfactory suspension.

Note:
• Upon standing without agitation for more than 1 hr., the applicator tank should be agitated, stirred or shaken again to achieve satisfactory suspension.
• Make up only amount of application volume as required.
• This product should not be applied with oil.

Tank Mixing
Demon WP Insecticide in Water-Soluble Packets may be tank mixed with other currently registered pesticides unless expressly prohibited by the product label. A small volume mixing test with the other products is recommended to ensure compatibility. Observe all restrictions and precautions which appear on the labels of these products.

Cockroaches, Spiders, Crickets, Scorpions, Silverfish, Ticks and Firebrats

Apply as a coarse, low pressure treatment to areas where these pests hide, such as baseboards, corners, storage areas, closets, around water pipes, doors and windows, attics and eaves, cabinets, sinks, furnaces, stoves, behind and under refrigerators, the underside of shelves, drawers and similar areas. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices; also see Outdoor Surface Use.

Ants
Apply Demon WP to any trails, around doors and windows and similar areas where ants (including carpenter ants) may be found. Apply perimeter barrier treatments to prevent infestation as described below; also see Outdoor Surface Use.

Bees, Carpenter Bees and Wasps
Thoroughly treat nest and entrance, surfaces and surrounding areas with Demon WP where these insects alight; also see Outdoor Surface Use.

Assassin Bugs, Boxelder Bugs, Sowbugs, Pillbugs, Millipedes, Elm Leaf Beetle and Centipedes

I have been using Demon WP Insecticide for MANY years mostly for exterior barrier treatment and in and around garages. I was very impressed. I will never forget the first time I used this product. I sprayed a heavy line in front of our 3 car garage which was getting bombarded by all kinds of crawling insects. It created about a 10-12" line on a hot & sunny day and it dried very quickly. I did it a second time thinking it evaporated, again it dried within a few mins. Came home from work the next day and a solid line of dead bugs exactly where I sprayed. Was as if it was an invisible electric fence. At this point I was sold on this and nothing else. I have continued to use it for years without fail. I found it lasts quite a while but depends on how much direct rain the treated surface area gets. Recommend 100% Was this review helpful to you?

Forget what you read about multiple applications per year. Maybe outside, but inside, unless you wash or vacuum it away, it lasts forever. I haven't used it in 2 years indoors and it's still killing. I thought, after two years, though, another application couldn't hurt. The first time you use it, when you wake up the next morning, you will be in awe of the dead insects in your house. Just do every base board, even in cabinets and closets and every threshhold into your house, garage, carport, etc...threshhold exteriors need to be repeated if exposed to the elements. This stuff is the last word in pest control. Don't waste your money on supermarket and building supply store junk and pest control companies that come out and use this same stuff, and bill you $250. Demon WP keeps the house insect-free and considering I have a bug phobia, this means a great deal knowing that there aren't any unwelcomed pests crawling around our home. However, for spiders it doesn't fair so well in my opinion. Only complaint is it leaves a slight stain on wooden floors and baseboards . It keeps killing a long time so re-spraying is only like 4 or 5 times a year . That itself will save you a bundle of money on exterminators. Was this review helpful to you?

I tried every type of bug bomb- Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart had and it seemed like they multiplied. My parents turned me on to this product Demon WP. I sprayed my baseboards, windows, doors, weep holes in the brick, the entire perimeter of the house, the soffit on the house, and the perimeter of my yard. After all that, I still had 2 pouches left, so I went ahead and sprayed my lawn. I have not seen another live bug in the house for 2 years. I may not have applied it the way i'm supposed to, but this stuff is awesome. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful to you?

If you have a roach problem in your home this will kill them and will keep killing for months . It goes on wet and dries to a powder . You will be seeing dead roaches in 24 hours and 1 application will last months of killing power . It is safe too, I have pets and a small child and have never smelled or had a problem like pest control services cause . Try it and you will be satisfied. Was this review helpful to you?

I didnt even know I had those. I feel a bit safer knowing that my 2 year old, 3 month old, and small dog should be safe. Well, I dont know about my 2 year old. He's in everything;) The local pest control service wanted 50 dollars a month to get rid of bugs or 150 for a one time application. For 15 dollars and 4 treatments that probably will work better anyway. Forget the exterminator:) Was this review helpful to you?

The day before I used Demon WP, I tried the Ortho Home Defense spray that you can get at any home improvement store. Ortho worked to kill crickets if I sprayed directly on them. I killed all the crickets I saw, but a couple of hours later there were a ton more, even though I had sprayed all the cracks and crevices. Well, the next day, I received Demon WP along with the plastic Chapin sprayer. Usually there are at least 20 crickets all over the walls of my garage. This morning, I went into my garage and checked again. This time there were a bunch of crickets on the garage floor...but they were all dead. Demon WP definitely works! I see a lot of dead bugs now and no live ones. It even killed a few spiders and other bugs outside the house. It is easy to use with a pump sprayer . I would highly recommend it to everyone . Q  Can Demon WP be used on animals? A No.  Demon WP is not labeled for use on any person or animal.

Q  Is Demon WP safe around children and pets? A Demon WP is safe to use around children and pets when mixed and used correctly.  With most professional products such as Demon WP, once you mix it with water it is only strong enough to kill small insects.  You should always keep children and pets away from where you are treating.  Once the product has time to dry which usually only takes 30 minutes, it is safe for children and pets to re-enter the room.  Of course you should always keep any pesticide or cleaning product out of reach of children.

Q  Is Demon WP effective against the Hobo spider? We seem to have an epidemic of them in and around our home (and neighborhood). I have killed or "sticky trapped" about two dozen in the last two years. Specifically, will it "deter" them from entering the house? A Yes, Demon WP is one of the most effective insecticides on the market today and is labeled for almost all insects.  The "WP" part in Demon WP stands for wettable powder, and wettable powders are what you want to use with spiders.  Not only is this product very effective but it is still safe to use inside or outside and also safe if children or pets are present.  Place a good, wide, barrier around the perimiter of your home and you will see a huge difference in the number of all insects you see around the home.

Q  Will Demon WP "plug up" regular backpack sprayers - unless they have special "diaphram pump"? A No, Demon WP will not plug up your sprayer, at least initially.  You definitely have to mix wettable powders very well before applying it.  You should fill the sprayer half way with water, scoop in the proper amount of product or drop in the Demon WP envelope, place the top on the sprayer and shake vigorously, then remove the top and refill the sprayer the rest of the way with water.  The sprayer should work fine but you should only mix what you plan on using that day.  Wettable powders will clog a sprayer when the solution is left in the sprayer overnight or for a long period of time.  The powder will settle, become clumpy at the bottom of the sprayer, and will clog the sprayer when you try to re-use it.  So only mix what you are going to use right then and you should have no problems.

Q  Which is better for cockroach control, Demon WP or Suspend SC? A That is a hard question to answer because both work very well.  However, we do sell the Demon WP in our roach kits and it does work a little faster and provides a punch for quick knock down.  Sprays alone usually do not work.  You should use this along with a roach bait so the roaches have something to take back in the walls and other hiding places that you do can not spray.  Our roach kit has a very high success rate and incorporates sprays and baits.

Q  Can Demon WP be used on a vegetable garden? A No, Demon WP cannot be used on a vegetable garden.  The only product we carry that is labeled for edible food is Malathion 57%.

Q  My wood shed has been invaded by GREEN STINK BUGS. It's not unusual to pick up a stick of dry oak and find dozens of stink bugs on it. Will Demon WP kill them? And if so, how do I apply it? A Demon WP is a great product to kill stink bugs. In fact it is the same product we sell in our overwintering kit for stinkbugs, ladybugs and whiteflies.  Demon WP is a concentrate that you mix with water so you will need a one gallon hand pump sprayer to apply it.  You will want to spray around the outside perimeter of your wood shed and also along the inside around the perimeter and inside any cracks and crevices.  You should apply every 30 - 45 days for best results.

Q  Can Demon WP be sprayed on the outside of a home and still be effective? A Demon WP is labeled for both indoor and outdoor use. Apply Demon WP to exterior door frames, window frames, places where utilities (cables pipes and wires) enter into the structure, eaves, soffits, around the bottom of the foundation and out onto the ground several feet. If you have an existing insect infestation you may also need to spray indoors around the door frames, window frames, places where utilities (cables, pipes and wires) enter into the structure and around the baseboards. Demon WP will last for about 4 weeks outdoors and about 12 weeks indoors.
