    Will Demon WP affect chickens or be in their eggs if they eat bugs killed by it?
    I have big black water roaches outside under the deck... if they die from the Demon and the chickens eat them,, will they have poison in the eggs.. or will it hurt the chickens? Thanks
    A

    No, the Demon WP would not have any effect on the eggs produced by the chickens. There is such a small amount that would be in their system that kills them it would be eliminated by the time the chicken would come in contact with the roaches. The chickens would however need to be completely out of the area while you are spraying the Demon WP initially and until the product completly dries.

    Will Demon WP kill dog ticks and do you ship to Hawaii?
    I recently noticed tiny ticks on my dog; just purchased Preventic dog collar from the vet but need to treat my yard.

    Yes, we do ship to Hawaii. Demon WP can be used for ticks but it will leave a white powdery residue everywhere you spray. Talstar P would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor tick control. We also recommend adding an insect growth regulator such as Archer IGR to Talstar to stop the ticks from being able to develop while you are trying to eliminate the infestation. You will use 1 oz of Talstar +  1oz of Archer IGR per gallon of water per 1,000 sq ft area. Do not make spot applications. Treat the entire area where exposure to ticks may occur. Use more water (not more product) when treating areas with dense ground cover or heavy leaf litter. Ticks may be reintroduced from surrounding areas on host animals. Retreatment may be necessary to achieve and/or maintain control during periods of high pest pressure. 

    You can also help by creating a "tick safe zone" in your yard. You should have an area that is at least 9 ft wide between your yard and any wooded area. Trim back trees to allow as much sunlight as possible into your yard. Keep grass as short. Remove as much leaf litter as possible. A clearly defined, well manicured border between your yard and any wooded areas or weedy lots will reduce the chance of ticks infesting your yard.

    How do I dispose of Demon WP?
    A

    You should try not to mix more than you need of Demon WP Insecticide, but in the event that you do, you will pour any unused portion of solution right up against the foundation of the structure you are treating.

    I have the one pound can of Demon WP. How many scoops to 1 Gallon of water?

    Demon WP can be mixed at a rate of one level scoop per gallon of water, or two level scoops per gallon of water.  Most pest problems require only one scoop per gallon.  If you are treating for bees, wasps, scorpions, roaches, or carpenter ants you would use two scoops per gallon.

    Do I need to rotate products if using Demon WP?
    It is currently recommended to alternate insecticides with different modes of action against the pest so that no more than two consecutive applications are made with the same MOA. This is to minimize Insecticide Resistance. What is a good product to use in a rotation with Demon WP? How long should one wait before applying a second product after Demon?
    A

    It is always a good practice to alternate products with different active ingredients. A great alternative to Demon WP would be something like Suspend SC. Suspend SC is a general insecticide that is labeled for various pests, including roaches, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, etc. This can be used indoors and outdoors around the perimeter of your home. We would recommend 30 days between applications of different products.

    I have been using Demon WP for years and have gotten it on my hands, clothes, and possibly inhaled.
    I have been using DemonWP for several years. I use it about 1-2 times per year. I never used gloves while spraying it and I tried not to inhale when I was spraying it. Afterward I would properly store it, wash out the spray bottle, wash off my hands, arms and any other exposed skin and change clothes. Am I in any danger for not using gloves? Or have any reason to be concerned of any longterm effects of the product touching my skin?

    The product label for Demon WP recommends contacting a doctor or poison control center as soon as possible if the product is either inhaled or gotten on the skin.  Please contact a doctor or poison control for more information as to what the possible effects may be.

    Will Demon WP kill black widow spiders in my house? I have a puppy and am worried she might get bit. I also have big brown spiders outdoors. Is Demon WP the best choice?

    Demon WP would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. The active ingredient in Demon WP is cypermethrin, which is known to be one of the top choices for spider control. Spraying Demon WP will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in.

    If my cat eats/bites a roach that is dying from the poison will she get sick/die?

    There is such a small amount of active ingredient that would be on the insect that your pet would have to eat tons of insects completely that had the product on them to have any chance of illness.

    Is Demon WP safe to use indoors around dogs and pet birds?

    The dogs and the birds should be removed from the area prior to treatment with Demon WP and they can safely re-enter the treated areas as soon as they are dry. Please refer to the Demon WP product label for complete usage instructions.

    How long does it take to kill fleas using Demon WP?
    A

    Demon WP is not labeled for indoor flea treatments and could cause your lawn to turn white (powdery look). Please let us know if you have already treated with the product or if you were considering this to be a treatment option. The kill time for fleas can vary depending on the life cycle stage. Also, this kill time can vary depending on if and when they came into contact with the product. We will be able to offer advice on application and product suggestions that best fit your needs. It is important to perform a flea treatment indoors and outdoors once every two weeks with a minimum of two applications. Indoor vacuuming will be done daily.     Is it safe for my animals to graze where we treated with Demon WP? Chickens cows goats?

    Demon WP should NOT be applied to areas where animals will be grazing. We recommend contacting your Local Cooperative Extension Office to find out what product would be safe and effective for you to use in your area. Once you have been given a recommendation, we can try to help you locate the product for shipment.

    Does Demon WP kill bed bugs or is it active against them or what mix with it is for best results?

    Demon WP is not labeled to treat for bed bugs, therefore we cannot recommend using it.  What we do recommend is our Bed Bug Kits.  They have a very high success rate and have all of the same professional products that a company would use if you hired one.  Our kits also come with full instructions on how to apply the products in the kit. Of course, we are always here to help you with any questions as well.

    Will it affect our 2 year old since she came in contact with it?
    While spraying inside our house, our 2 year old slipped and fell in it. While she was crying, she put her fingers in her mouth before we could get to her. Should we be worried? If it is going to affect her, how soon would we see signs? What might it do to her?

    Will Demon WP Insecticide become harmful to pets and humans if it gets wet again?
    I have a 19 month old and a cat and we sprayed demon wp around the cracks and crevices of our entire house (where the walls meet the floor). If I were to mop in a couple of days, would it become poisonous to her again?

    Demon WP Insecticide is safe for children and pets after it has dried. If you were to mop the area, it would take up any residual that was there. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

    Do I put the closed package of Demon WP in water and will it dissolve the package?

    There are 4 water soluble packets in an envelope of Demon WP. You will dissolve the packet as is in the water for application after removing from envelope.

    Is Demon WP a repellent?

    Demon WP does contain a synthetic pyrethroid and synthetic pyrethroids are known to be somewhat repellent. Demon WP should not be used to repel insects away from an area, instead it should be used to eliminate insects that touch treated areas as the repellency wears off after a short amount of time.

    Demon WP Insecticide can be used for both gnats and noseeums.  It will kill any that are sprayed directly or that come into contact with a treated surface.

    Can Demon WP be used inside home to kill fleas? We have a heavy infestation in several rooms.
    Have had a Pest Control Agent spraying the rooms in house with very little effect. Was told by word of mouth, that Demon WP would kill and rid them for good. I was also told PreCor was good to use. Thank You

    Demon WP Insecticide specifically states on the product label for Outdoor Flea Control only.  It cannot be used inside homes for fleas.  When Demon WP is used inside correctly for the listed insects it is only applied to cracks and crevices around rooms, along baseboards and cannot be used across entire floor surfaces where you would need to treat for fleas.  Precor IGR would be a great part of treatment along with an insecticide such as Onslaught which can be used on carpets.  We also have great guides here for identifying, inspecting and treating fleas to ensure you are correctly treating.
