Eliminated our problem.

I encountered a bed bug infestation when I just started renting an apartment. I used D-Force HPX and to my surprise we were able to completely eliminate our problem. But you need to follow treatment every 10 days. Vacuum under the bed, sofa and mattress. Spray around the mattress, bed frames and carpet. We did not have to throw out any furniture.

If you have a bedbug problem, D-Force HPX really works. It kills them instantly. I recommend this product to any one with bed bugs along with Drione Dust and Gentrol. Use these three products together and you will be bug free within 6 weeks not to mention it won't break the piggy bank like an exterminator would.

I'm telling you folks, this product works! I had a suspicion of bed bugs (there were random marks showing up on my skin in patterns...) and after reading other reviews purchased this product. Aside from the smell, which I recommend you vacate your place for at least 3 hours after dispersing, this product is certainly a miracle worker. Also, you can't beat the free shipping and speedy delivery!

We had slight infestation. ordered DFORCE HPX. sprayed bare floor and entire bed frame complete coverage. put mattresses and boxsprings in zippered plastic bags. pulled beds out from walls. kept all blankets from touching floors. put legs of beds in bowls of your dust.cimeXa plus vaselined legs of beds. washed all bedding every 2 to 3 days until i saw no more signs. also put pillows in hot dryer and put in zippered protectors. sprayed 4 times total since the middle of august. it is now last of oct. we mixed Lamda 9.7 CS and Gentrol IGR together and used sprayer to spray the last 3 times. the products work as i found dead bugs and later dehydrated adults on bed from going through the dust under legs. the products were shipped quickly. I recommend this company. You Can win!

Excellent product - does exactly what it said it would.
By Barb on October 28, 2012

I especially like two things about this product. 1. It has a small straw that fits into the nozzle allowing for exact placement of the product, especially into cracks and crevices without overspray. 2. It is as long-lasting as it said it would be. It has destroyed the weevils I 'inherited' from a flour product I purchased at a grocery store. They had overrun the cabinets in the kitchen. And, since I decided to spray around the baseboards of the kitchen as well, the scout ants have stopped coming in. The only downside was a mild unpleasant odor, which really should have been expected, given the nature of this product. It began to dissipate after about a week.

September 19, 2009 L asked:
QWhat is the best way to use D-Force HPX Aerosol for bed bug control?
We live in an apartment building where many tenants seem to have a bedbug problem . Some have even been found in the laundry room . After eliminating the initial infestation , should we use D-Force again to prevent re infestation , and if so, how soon and/or often? We actually found two adults in our search with no visible excrement and no visible eggs after a thorough search of box springs , drawers and closets . Do you think it is necessary to do the whole apartment or will doing the bedroom suffice?
AIf you were to use one product for prevention and/or treatment of bed bugs, then we would recommend Bedlam. It is our most popular product and it will kill adult bed bugs as well as bed bug eggs. D-Force will not kill bed bug eggs, and there is a concern of bed bugs becoming resistant to D-Force. If you have only found bed bugs in your bedroom then it would probably be OK to only treat that room, but if bed bugs were found all over different areas of the buildings, then you should treat the whole unit for adequate protection. Also if you have been sleeping on a couch instead of your room then you would want to treat the whole apartment. You should use one of our bed bug kits for optimal results.
March 3, 2011 Gh asked:
QWill D-Force HPX kill spiders that live in the upper corners of rooms in my apartment?
I live in an apartment that seems to be a spider magnet! Every couple of weeks I have to vacuum the corners of the ceilings because of the spiders. Can D-Force HPX be used for this problem? Also, does this product stain? The walls are white.
AD-Force HPX will kill spiders, but it does not offer an immediate knockdown. Using a good residual product such, as D-Force HPX, around door frames, window frames, baseboards, places where cables, pipes or wires enter through the walls and any other cracks or crevice will not only help kill the spiders, but it will also kill other insects which is what the spiders are there to feed on. By removing the other insects, you will be able to stop new spiders from moving in and you will be able to break the cycle of spider infestation. You should also use glue boards under sinks and in cabinets, under and behind furniture and appliances and in the back of closets and storage spaces which will help monitor infestations and remove insects and spiders from your apartment. D-Force HPX should not stain when used as directed on the product label but we still recommend testing it on a small inconspicuous area to be sure.
March 27, 2011 Bethany asked:
QI have found 3 bugs that look like carpet beetles in my house. Should I be concerned? Should I take action?
I found them in my bedroom. Is there anything that I should be doing?
AThe main thing you should do is a thorough inspection to see if you can find any infested items. If you do find infested items it will be necessary to thoroughly clean the area or dispose of the infested item and treat the cracks and crevices with a residual spray such as D-Force HPX. You can learn more about carpet beetles by reading our article Carpet Beetle Pest Control

Daniel from Pembroke Pines, Fl asked:
QHow do you get rid of flying ants?
For the past two weeks I have been finding dead flying ants in my kitchen and bathroom. I live in a condo with an attic, I have searched but cannot find the colony, what do you recommend to get rid of them?
AFirst off you should make sure they are definitely swarming ants and not swarming termites, which are sometimes confused with swarming ants. If they are ants, then it is very hard to get rid of the problem until they stop swarming on their own unless you know where they are getting in. You can treat all baseboards, cracks and crevices, window sills, and other areas with a residual aerosol to try to kill the ants as they are entering the bathrooms, but other than that there are not many options if you have no idea where they are getting in. We would recommend D-Force HPX Aerosol to use around the baseboards and other areas.
March 3, 2010 Daniel asked:
QYou recommend BedLam over D-Force for bedbugs, but can D-Force HPX be used in combination with BedLam?
You recommend BedLam over D-Force HPX for bedbugs, but can D-Force HPX be used in combination with BedLam without diminishing the efficacy of the two products?
AYes, you can use both Bedlam and D-Force HPX in your bedbug treatment program. Since neither product is a "non-repellent" there is no worry about diminishing the efficacy by using them together. We usually suggest Bedlam for bedbug treatments because it is labeled to be applied to many sensitive areas that other insecticides are not and because it is known to kill all stages of bedbugs including the eggs.

Tim from Villa Park, Illinois asked:
QDoes D-Force work for Carpenter bee holes in wood and what would you recommend for knocking down the male bee?
AD-Force HPX will eliminate carpenter bees in their holes. D-Force HPX does not offer an instant knockdown and the bee will die within a few hours of contact. We recommend that you use a concentrated liquid insecticide such as Equil Lambda 9.7 on the exterior of your home to eliminate any other carpenter bees that may fly into the area in search of a place to drill a hole. By spraying the wood you would help prevent furture damage from carpenter bees. The male carpenter bees do not cause damage and they cannot sting but they will be eliminated if they land on any treated area.

Martha from Hilliard, Florida asked:
QWhat does D-Force HPX smell like? Is it lemony? Is it harmful?
AD-Force does have a slight insecticide odor that dissipates within a short period of time. D-Force does not smell lemony. When used as directed on the product label D-Force is not harmful to pets or people. We do encourage you to take a few minutes to read over the D-Force HPX product label and MSDS to make sure D-Force HPX is a product you feel comfortable using. We have linked these pages in our answer for your convenience. Product labels and MSDS are available for each product on our site and you can see the product label links and the MSDS links on each individual product page.

Nicole from Omaha, Ne asked:
QIs D-Force safe for babies?
After D-Force dries, is it safe for my baby to touch the baseboards, etc?
AWhen applied according to the D-Force HPX product label (directly into cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances) and the area has had a chance to dry, it should be safe for your baby to contact treated areas. Most treated areas will be inaccessible to your child when applied according to the product label.

Ellie from Avon Park asked:
QWill this product D-Force HPX kills bees?
I am not sure if it is honey bees but it looks like it is going under my shade. Do you think this will kill them?
AD-Force HPX is labeled for bees and should do a great job for you. Please note that D-force is not a knockdown agent and even bees that are sprayed directly with the product may not die right away. We do carry Wasp Freeze which does have a very fast knockdown and can shoot up to 15 feet away.

David from Fullerton, Ca asked:
QFurniture Beetles in Kitchen Pantry
We found some furniture beetles inside an opened bag of old cat food. They were boring through the pellets. I looked thoroughly for other damage and found approx 30 beetle holes in the drywall ceiling of the pantry. No other damage anywhere in the house. What product(s) or suggestions would you recommend?
AWe would recommend using D-Force HPX in the pantry. You should apply the product in all cracks and crevices around baseboards and on on the edges of shelves in the pantry. Then, you should treat inside the holes in the drywall that the beetles bored. Also, you should obviously discard of any food that was contaminated from the beetles.

Joan from Philadelphia, Pa asked:
QHow do I get rid of female moths (not pantry)? I've been using X-Lure traps for the males
and they have trapped hundreds, but they just keep coming. Think I need to trap the females as well.
AThere are not pheromone traps for the females. However, you should continue to use the traps because if they are doing a great job of catching the males, there will be no more males to mate with the females and the population will dwindle. You can use aerosol insecticides to help kill all of the moths, including the females, like our most popular product, D-Force HPX. Apply along baseboards, shelving, cracks and crevices, etc. Also, the moths came from a source and hopefully you have found the source and discarded it. If you have not, then this is the issue and you should find and discard the contaminated product as soon as possible.

Sonia from Rochester, Ny asked:
QI live in western NY and have a problem with larder beetles. What product would I use against these pests?
They are mostly in my kitchen in one location, but we've been finding them in the basement now.
ALarder beetles attack all products of animal origin, including feathers, horn, skins, ham, bacon, dried beef, hides, hair, beeswax, and similar products. You must completely clean out the infested cabinets, discard any infested food products and thoroughly vacuum all of the cracks and crevices where larvae may hide. Next you can apply a product called D-Force HPX. According to the D-Force HPX product label: Remove all food-stuffs, utensils and shelf paper from area to be treated. Discard used shelf paper and any infested foodstuffs. Apply spray to shelves and in cracks and crevices behind and under cupboards and cabinets. Allow spray to dry prior to replacement of shelf paper, food and utensils.

Kereena from Canada asked:
QCan we use D-Force HPX to kill bed bugs while traveling?
We’ll be doing extensive travelling in Europe, frequenting different hotels and hostels as we go. Not all accommodations are well reviewed and we don’t know of a website that tracks bed bug infestations in the countries we’re going to. We are looking for a product that will kill bed bugs on contact and will offer us some protection for at least two or three days before we move on. Would you recommend D-Force HPX for this, or another product?
AYou can use D-Force HPX when traveling to help with bedbugs but you should not rely on the product as your only defense. D-Force HPX, like most other insecticides, takes time to kill off bedbugs that contact treated areas and will not be able to prevent 100% of bedbug bites. Bedbugs that are sprayed directly should die within a very short amount of time. You should thoroughly inspect each place you will be staying for bedbugs or evidence of bedbugs. If you do see a current infestation you should ask to be put in a different room or stay in a different hotel. Please take a few minutes to read our article How to Avoid Bedbugs in Hotels.
August 1, 2011 Annette asked:
QWhat is a good product similar to D-Force HPX for total spider elimination?
I have used D-Force HPX to kill spiders on contact and in our cars (around tire wells, in the trunks and around the doors). I have a serious brown widow problem that is getting worse each week. They are outside our house and inside our 1200 square foot shop. I have used D-Force HPX with great success when I hit the spider directly. Is there a product that works this good, but that will cover the entire shop and isn't so expensive for such a large area. How can I kill them without spraying them direcly? I have noticed that if the spiders do not crawl across any chemicals they will not die. I have used spray foggers to no avail and just sprayed inside and outside the house and shop with Cyonara too. Any suggestions?
ADemon WP is a great choice for spider control. Demon WP is a wettable powder that is diluted in water, and then sprayed around door frames, window frames, in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into a structure, around the bottom of the foundation and other area where insects are known to harbor. Demon WP will also eliminate the other insects in the area which in turn will help discourage other spiders from moving in since they will not have a food source to rely on. Demon WP can leave a white powdery residue on dark surfaces. If the powdery residue is a concern you can choose a micro-encapsulated product such as Onslaught.
April 10, 2011 Roy asked:
QHow do I get rid of carpet beetles? I have two small children and a cat.
We have seen them in the kitchen and master bath on the linoleum, and have been vacuuming the carpet every few days. I have also sprayed the outside of the house around the doors and windows with an over the counter Bayer product.
