Dinotefuran is a relatively new insecticide belonging to the class of insecticides known as neonicotinoids, which are among the most widely used insecticides in the world.  Dinotefuran products are labeled "Reduced-Risk" by the EPA, meaning they have very low toxicity and are generally safer around humans, pets and the environment.

Target Pests
Roaches, ants, termites, bed bugs and flying and crawling pests. Dinotefuran also targets pests of high value greenhouse and nursery crops such as poinsettia and hibiscus, as well as trees, shrubs and herbaceous ornamentals in the lawn and landscape market.

Mode of Action
Dinotefuran is a central nervous system inhibitor.  Ingestion leads to death within a few hours.
