    Curley leaf Pond weed

    By Anonymous on 06/01/2013

I mixed one gallon of diaquat with five gallons of water and from a small row boat I used a hand pump sprayer. I covered about half an acre. The weeds were up to the water surface and at least ten feet tall under the water. After three days the weeds are dying and have sunk below the surface. I can still see the weeds but they look dead. I believe the diaquat has worked fine.

    Sucker stopper

    By Rick on 04/26/2015

I mainly use this for burning off suckers from trees like Olives and Redwoods that sucker prolifically. Much faster than cutting them every week. Also for chemically trimming ground covers like Ivy and Vinca. It's fast and a little goes a long way. Make sure you use a surfactant. DMOPC has a good price. It's the same thing and a little cheaper than Reward.

    Eradicate duck weed

    By Dorothy on 07/04/2017

The diquat worked but took several applications. We had a bad case of duck weed on our lagoon.

    It works

    By Eric on 09/02/2019

I mixed up a solution of this with glyphosate and a surfactant and it killed the plants quickly. I used it on several species in our lake and for weeds along our fence line. The combination of the 3 chemicals took no prisoners. I was really surprised that within 24 hours most of the water vegetation was dead. The only reason it is a 4-star is because the product was on back-order and took a bit longer to receive.

    Cleared my pond!

    By Carl on 06/26/2020

Used this on my farm pond and within a week I saw the product working. A month later and my pond is clear and looks better than it has in years. This stuff really wacked the pond weed for sure. I use two quarts on my half acre pond which was half covered in weed. Seems to have gone to the 9 foot depth and worked great.

seems to work on part feather

    By Ron on 11/30/2018

We've been battling an invasion of parrot feather in our 1/2-acre pond for 15 years. Mechanical removal has helped, and then I learned that diquat may work on floating foliage. I sprayed the last few patches of parrot feather, and the next day they were gone. It's December now in northern Calf; the real test will be to see if the parrot feather remains gone in the spring.

    Small pond grass control

    By Scott on 10/03/2021

Ordered this product for a 1/4 ac pond I have on my property. I had a couple variety of grass and duck weed creeping in from the edges. I did a morning treatment and by afternoon the one grass was showing stress. By evening the second grass was showing stress as well. Both grasses were brown within a couple days. The duck week started to loose green but now after 2 weeks seems to be holding on. I will get another treatment applied soon, but found scooping with a net has been affective as well.
