Right now I am using DE to rid my bed bugs. Thinking about buying Phonton but I have a toddler. Any advise on what else I can do or use to rid these damn bugs. I stripped my whole house looking for eggs or a colony of them. Never found it, they must be in the walls.
Almost every product you use for bed bugs or any other insect, will be one that you leave the area after you treated, and then return once it has dried. Once an insecticide has dried, or a powder/dust has settled you and your children can safely return to your normal activity in that area. Even though DE is a natural product, you want to only place it in cracks and crevices for bed bugs, and very lightly so that the bugs can still crawl through it. Keep in mind every home will be different in how long it takes to completely rid your space of the bugs. It can take several months of retreatments every 10 days to eliminate them all.
