ZP Rodent Bait, which specifically mentioned voles, was discontinued. This replacement doesn't mention voles. I need something to control the hordes of voles in my backyard and don't want to spend a fortune on an ineffective pesticide. I have no time to lose since the voles become more numerous by the day.
Hi-Yield Mole and Gopher Bait is not labeled for voles (also known as field mice). This of course doesn't mean it wouldn't kill them, it means that this product was not intended for this use. The reason for this is most likely because Hi-Yield Mole and Gopher Bait is intended for use underground or in covered areas only and voles tend to only have very shallow, open burrows or runway paths that are exposed. Voles can be tough to control during times when they are having a population explosion like you have described. You can place baits such as Fastrac Blox or Final Blox in tamper resistant bait stations directly into the voles runways. Traditional wooden mouse snap traps also can do a pretty good job in eliminating these pests.
