General Product Information:

Moles that burrow through soil are very troubling pest for homeowners and businesses alike. Moles are a nuisance in lawns and golf courses. Dr. T's Nature Products, Inc., developed Whole Control to repel moles. For ethical reasons, Dr. T's is temporarily refraining from repellency claims against voles or armadillos until all research on these animals is complete. Dr. T's Whole Control mole repellent is effective and should be used when raised ridges or surface tunnels and mounds appear. Moles expose plant roots to air causing wilting or death. Dr. T's Whole Control burrowing animal control promotes and restores lawn and garden areas by inhibiting the formation of burrows, tunnels, ridges, and holes that are caused by moles.

How does Whole Control work?

The active ingredient in Whole Control mole repellent is Castor Oil. Castor oil coats the animals' food source (roots, grubs and mole crickets) and causes stomach disruptions in the animals. However, it may take up to three weeks for Whole Control mole repellent to meet its maximum effectiveness level. The targeted animals must make the association between feeding in a particular area and the stomach disruptions before maximum repellency takes place.

Directions For Use:

Shake well before use. Attach a garden hose tightly on this self dispensing unit, turn water supply on to full pressure. Spray WHOLE CONTROL over the affected area at the rate of one quart of product per 5,000 sq. ft. for moles, voles and ground squirrels.  After the container is empty, adjust the spray nozzle to apply (WATER) and continue to spray with water, or use a sprinkler system to soak WHOLE CONTROL into the soil.

When To Apply:

Apply Whole Control or Mole Out when the first signs of digging, tunneling, and burrowing by animals first appear. For year round control, apply repellents during the spring, summer and fall. Do not apply directly into lakes, ponds, streams, or other standing water.

10 years ago out of desperation I tried this product. It really works. My store stopped selling it. Thanks to the Internet I found it again. I ordered 4 this time so I have some on hand for friends to try. The perfect product for control without killing.

5 of 5 stars  Our Story
By Diane in Banks, Oregon on 05/09/2013

We have been plagued with moles again this year. We've used Dr. T's products for 4 years primarily in one small lawn area but this year I bought a nice supply of the product and have broadened its coverage. If I find an open run I will actually spray the product right down that hole and they DO NOT return. We have been most successful with it by watering the areas heavily after we spray the product on as directed. It takes diligence and persistence, with alot less frustration than live trapping, but we do get results. I reapply as often as necessary to rid an area of the pesky varmints. Right now, we're enjoying a newly seeded area coming up without the aggravation of big brown mountains of dirt all over it. Thanks, Dr. T. DZ in Oregon

I have only applied one treatment to my yard. However, after two weeks, I have not noticed any new holes. Hopefully the product will hold up until the next treatment is due. Shipment was speedy because this product is unavailable in local stores.

My father gave me a bottle to try and I used as directed and it works WONDERFUL....Now I;m on the site buying my own supply.. Thanks whole mole control and also thanks Dad for finding this great product... it works.. I live in a very small 24 house subdivision and every yard has moles except mine .. they turn around and leave my yard alone... its fun to watch, our subdivision has its own lawn company for the whole area, but I cut and treat and take care of the yard myself, because I can do a better job....

By Bc in Springdale, AR on 12/20/2012

Didn't notice anything about temperature requirements; tried to spray with water hose in 50 - 60 degree weather. Repellent must have been to cold to disperse. I'll have to bear with the mole 'til spring and try again.

QWill Dr. Tís Whole Control Mole Repellent harm cats? Will Dr. Tís Whole Control Mole Repellent kill tree squirrels?

AThe active ingredient in Dr. T's Whole Control Mole Repellent is castor oil. Castor oil coats the animals' food source (roots, grubs and mole crickets) and causes stomach disruptions in the animals. After repeated exposure, the moles will avoid the treated area. Dr. T’s Whole Control Mole Repellent does not contain any type of rodenticide that will harm cats or kill tree squirrels.

QIs your Whole Control Mole Repellent safe for pets?

AWhole Control Mole Repellent is safe for pets as long as you follow the product label. Be sure all pets are out of the area while the application is being made and they can return as soon as the surface has dried. Whole Control Mole Repellent is a castor oil product and would most likely only cause stomach upset if your pet ingested grass from the treated area.

QIs there a spray to chase voles away?
Voles are getting into my garden.

AWe carry Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent. This product is labeled for voles, but it does not actually chase voles away just by being sprayed. The voles would need to eat food items that have been sprayed with the Dr. Ts Whole Control Repellent a few times, then after they experienced stomach upset they would leave the area. Wooden snap traps also work very well for vole control. Simply place the trap directly into the voles runways.

QWill Whole Control Mole Repellent work on gophers?
I've been using the Giant Destroyer in my pasture to control gophers with some success. I am slowly running them off my property. I was wondering once there gone and I spray my fence line, would it help keep them away?

ADr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent works by coating the animals food source with castor oil. When the animal then repeatedly feeds on treated areas, they will experience stomach upset and then avoid the treated areas. Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent is only labeled to control and repel moles, so we cannot recommend it for gophers. Either the manufacturer has not tested it for gophers or they have and found that the product has not been effective for gophers.

QWill Dr. T's Whole Control Repellent kill birds?
I have a lot of birds cardinals, finches, tuffted tit mouse birds, chickadees, red bellied woodpeckers, and mockingbirds. I have numerouse feeders, and I do not want to get rid of my birds.

ADr. T’s Whole Control Mole Repellent is a repellent product, it does not contain any poisons. The active ingredient in Dr. T’s Whole Control Mole Repellent is castor oil and it should NOT harm the wild birds.

QWhat should the outside temp be to use this product?
To be most effective, how warm, cool or hot does it need to be outside for the spray to work best.

ADr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent works well and can be applied in any temperature as long as it isn't below freezing. Do not apply to frozen soil as it will not be able to reach maximum efficiency. Apply Whole Control immediately after the presence of moles is detected or in early spring, mid-summer, or early fall.

QWill Whole Control Mole Repellent repel rats?
Is there any product out there that will repel rats?

ADr T Whole Control Mole Repellent is actually a castor oil product that is watered into the ground coating all of the food items that a mole might eat. Once the mole eats the food item that has been coated with the product it will experience stomach upset and over a period of a few weeks the mole will usually retreat to areas that do not have contaminated food. Rats tend to find their food by scavenging above ground and are very unlikely to eat items that have been treated Whole Control.

QWhat is the dispense time of Dr. T Whole Control Mole Repellent?
I wanted to know how long it should take for the product to be dispensed? I hooked the unit up to the hose as directed, turned on the water and then turned to knob to the "on" position...(yes I made sure it was on!!) after about 15-20 min I had only used less than an 1/8 in of the product! Is this typical?? If so what is the approximate time rate for 5000 sq ft??

Achecking with manufacturer
