This works!
By Rose on August 6, 2010I had a carpenter ant infestation in my porch posts (wood clad with hardy board), and I wanted to use something organic. I sprayed the dust (using the nozzle on the bottle) into the crevices where I saw ants coming and going. Within one minute, ants were rushing out of the porch posts, covered in dust. I crushed the ants that tried to escape, and I haven't seen any further ants or frass since the treatment. This is a fantastic product which I would use again! Note: it is a dust, so don't apply on a windy day.

This stuff is awesome (and so is this site)!
By Amanda on September 7, 2010
Verified PurchaseThis stuff WORKS. It got rid of the centipedes that we had originally bought it for, so I decided to try it out on some spiders as well. It worked like a charm. I sprayed it outside on a semi-windy day and it STILL worked! It did take about three days to kill the spiders that were already there, but it's absolutely prevented any new ones from hanging out on our porch. Also, my shopping experience with DMOPC has been so very awesome. I received a notification from UPS on a Friday that my package had been delivered, I get home from work, and it's not there. So I called UPS, and they told me to contact DMOPC. I emailed DMOPC and had a response within an hour! This was at 7pm on a Friday night! I absolutely wasn't expecting to hear anything until Monday morning at the earliest. We did eventually find the package (UPS put it inside my neighbors screened in porch that they hardly use), but just to know that they were so awesome about it will definitely have me back when I run out of my current supply!

Bee killer
By CT on April 2, 2011I had a bee hive in the wall. Spayed in hole. 2 days later I pulled wall back, millions of dead bees and 5 foot honey combs. Then carpenter bees in another building and sprayed in hole. Product is fantastic. Wish it wasn't out of stock.

June 25, 2011Jon asked:
QWill this product work as well as Delta Dust & Drione Dust on brown recluse spiders?
Also, my exterminator mentioned that brown recluse spiders do not clean themselves, like other spiders, so how are powders effective on them? Thanks so much for your help!
AActually, unlike other insects, spiders in general do not groom themselves, it's not just the brown recluse. Powders can kill insects and spiders other ways than ingestion. Powders can also cut the outer layer on insects and spiders which makes them dehydrate because their waxy protective outer layer does not hold in moisture anymore. Also, when treating for spiders usually the spray and dust is applied more to get rid of the other insects around which is the spiders food source. If there are no other insects around for the spiders to eat, the spiders will not want to be around anymore. In addition to dust, we do have a Spider Control Kit which has a spray for the exterior of your home and glueboards for inside to monitor your insect situation. Glueboards are great for catching spiders.

QIs Eco Exempt D Dust safe to use around small children?
I have three small children. How safe is Eco Exempt D Dust to use around them? One is an infant, so she is crawling around on the floor.
AEco Exempt D Dust is a very safe product to use around the home because it is an all natural product derived from plant botanicals. However, as with any product, you would only want to place this product where the children do not come in direct contact with it. This product is most effective when it is placed where the bugs hide, which would be inside wall voids, under baseboards, under appliances, and cracks and crevices.
October 12, 2009Carlos asked:
QIf put in the attic how long will the Eco Exempt D Dust be effective?
Do you need a pest control license to apply this product?
AEco Exempt D Dust will last for up to 8 months when you apply it in a secure area such as in the attic. You do not need a pest control license to apply this product as long as you are using it on your own property. Our business is selling professional products to homeowners for use on their own property.
May 18, 2010Karen asked:
QIs EcoExempt D safe to use on food crops or in a garden?
AEco Exempt D Dust is not labeled for food crops. We recommend contacting your local cooperative extension office for product recommendations for food crops.
July 30, 2010Holly asked:
QIs Eco Exempt D safe for pets?
I have three rather adventurous cats. If any of them come into contact with your product, will it make them sick?
AYes, Eco Exempt D Dust is an all natural product that is very safe to use indoors around pets. You should keep all pets out of the room while you are applying the product, and then it is ok to allow them to come back in once you are done. Of course you want to use common sense and not dust out in the open, confine applications to cracks and crevices, under appliances, and inside wall voids.
May 21, 2011Chris asked:
QIs Eco Exempt D Dust effective for bed bugs?
AEco Exempt D Dust will kill bed bugs, but all dust products typically can take up to a week to actually kill a bed bug. Dust products alone will not eliminate a bed bug problem. It is recommended to use many different products in the proper manner, since different products can be used different places and bed bugs can hid anywhere. This is why we sell Bed Bug Kits. They come with full instructions and consist of all of the best products available to professionals in a homeowner kit. They have a very high success rate as long as you follow the instructions and treat thoroughly. And they will save you a ton of money over hiring an exterminator.
June 20, 2011Missouri asked:
QCan EcoExempt D Dust be applied with a power duster?
Your site mentions needing a hand duster to apply the product. Can this also be effectively applied in a crawl space with a power duster? Also, is EcoExempt D Dust being discontinued? It appears to be out of stock in many cases.
AEcoExempt D Dust can be applied with just about any type of duster including a power duster. We have not been notified by the manufacturer that EcoExempt D Dust is being discontinued at this point. There are often raw material issues when dealing with natural products because these materials must be harvested and environmental factors can cause major shortages.
December 6, 2011Jessica from Essex Junction, Vt asked:
QIf applying EcoExempt D Dust to a carpet in home, how long before you have to vacuum it up?
AEco Exempt D is not labeled to be broadcast over a carpeted area. In living areas: Apply uniformly in and around areas where insects may be crawling, hiding, or living. The amount to be applied will vary depending on the severity of the problem and the site treated, but should be in the range of 1 to 2 ounces per 100 square feet of surface area. Applications should include, but are not limited to, cracks/crevices and void areas around and behind interior and exterior walls, cabinets, baseboards, moldings, pipe openings, electrical outlets, stairs, window and door frames and appliances. Repeat as necessary. Please take few minutes to read the Eco Exempt D product label for complete usage instructions.
March 13, 2012Shahin from Bel Air, Md asked:
QWill Eco Exempt D Dust work for wasps?
I have wasps in my attic; will this product eliminate them?
AEco Exempt D Dust will kill wasps. You should note that this product does not have a fast knockdown and it will take 24-72 hours to actually see results. If you need a product with a fast knockdown you can use Eco PCO Jet which provides instant knockdown and kill of stinging insects.
