The active ingredients in these products are derived from plant oils such as rosemary, wintergreen and thyme. Eco PCO WP-X is a wettable powder residual that will remain effective for up to 3 months. Eco PCO WP-X is comparable to chemical insecticide products such as Tempo Ultra WP, Demon WP, Cynoff WP.

Eco PCO WP-X:

  • Rapid knockdown and kill
  • Broad-spectrum control
  • Long-lasting residual for long-term protection
  • Indoor and Outdoor use
  • Non-staining formula
  • Fresh scent; unscented when diluted

EcoPCO WP-X is intended as a general surface, spot, or crack and crevice application indoors.

For best results, ECOPCO WP-X should be used as follows:

1. Fill applicator tank ½ full with water

2. Add desired amount of ECOPCO WP-X according to indications on product label

3. Allow about 2 minutes for powder to wet

4. Agitate tank by stirring or shaking

5. Fill the tank the rest of the way with water and agitate again to ensure satisfactory suspension

5 of 5 Stars  A true hidden treasure
By Stephen on April 30, 2009
    Verified Purchase

I have to let others know what a hidden treasure this product truly is! I am a professional “Pooper-scooper”, which means I am in many different yards every day as I am working. Also because of my unique job, my client base ranges from a typical 1 dog home, all the way up to hunting kennels with an excess of 75 dogs being housed. Because of my wide customer base, and the Georgia climate, I was seeking a product to help with controlling both fleas and flies. With a little research I chose Eco PCO WP-X to be my first test product. After a little trial and error on learning the most effective application rates and amounts, I have to now admit that I was surprised and pleased that it works so well! Not many products actually do what the labels claim they do each and every time used. This product has drawn praise for me from all my customers whenever it is applied. Add to the fact that not only does it effectively kill fleas and flies, but also a wide range of other secondary insects too. During treatment of barrier areas for fleas and flies, I discovered the added bonus that it works very well on Fire-Ants too! Eco PCO-WP is now a clear influence in cutting the flea and fly issues for my customers. This product has definitely helped my little business to impress, keep, and build my customer base.

2 of 5 Stars  Not as good as Cyper WP or Bifen I/T
By Joe on May 17, 2010
    Verified Purchase

The residual action on this product is almost none existent. You almost have to spray the bugs directly in order to notice a significant effect. Even if you mix a lot more, you will end up using a 1 pound bag very fast. When I used Cyper WP or Bifen IT the residual action keeps on killing roaches, spiders, crickets, etc... weeks after I sprayed.  Cyper and Bifen also lasted longer because you did not need to use a lot for them to be effective.

5 of 5 Stars  Organic Pest Control! Great stuff!
By Mark on August 27, 2010
    Verified Purchase

I love the whole line of EcoSmart pest control products. We use the Eco PCO wettable powder for a variety of organic insect treatments. It works great! We have had no complaints from our technicians or our customers. It's easy to mix in the spray tanks and does not have a bad odor. It might leave a white stain on wood surfaces, so make sure you do a test before spraying the entire surface. Go green with Eco Pco Wpx.

By Ed on May 11, 2010

Been using for three years since I moved to rural area with chickens and livestock, and on well water became more environment oriented. I like that it works, is more earth friendly and doesn't smell like poison. Down side it takes a lot per use, cups vs scoops.  Just buy two jars.

5 of 5 Stars  Easy to use and effective
By Renee on October 26, 2012

We bought this to use against an ant infestation, but ended up using it for a termite uprising in some new construction. It worked immediately. (The lumbar yard assured us that the wood had been pretreated, but now we know we should always treat it ourselves. Interestingly, the adjoining room - which we treated with BoraCare over a year ago - showed no signs of infestation.) As a happy bonus, the same spray worked to control the ants. It worked so well, we ordered two more containers to keep on hand.

August 20, 2010Liane asked:

QCan I use EcoPCO WP-X on Earwigs and pillbugs in my organic vegetable garden?
I maintain a chemical-free vegetable garden, using soap and pre-emergent oil treatment for fruit trees. Pill bugs and earwigs have been difficult to control with natural methods this far. I have a family member who has cancer, so I do not want any harmful chemicals on our food.

AUnfortunately, EcoPCO WP-X is not labeled for use on edible plants. Products that can be used on edible plants are very limited and are usually labeled for only certain types of plants and only certain types of pests. We recommend you contact your local cooperative extension office for product recommendations for your situation.

June 23, 2010Misty asked:

QIs Eco PCO WP-X safe for use on or around edible or food producing plants?

AEco Pco WP-X is not labeled for use on edible plants.  We recommend Malathion 57%. Malathion is very versatile and can be used on many different edible plants.

July 16, 2011Ron asked:

QWill rain wash Eco PCO WP-X away?
I am just wondering if the rain will wash the residual powder away? I live in Washington State and it rains alot up here. Would I need to re-treat the perimeter after it rains? Can you recommend a substitute product for ant control that is better suited for a wet climate that is also kid-safe.

AEco PCO WP-X will hold up to rain very well as will most of the products that we sell.  It is actually not rain that is the real threat.  UV light is what breaks pesticides down the most.  You should apply the product when it is not raining and also hopefully when it is not going to rain for at least a few hours so it has time to dry.  Once it has had at least a few hours to dry and adhere to the surface that you applied it on it should provide a good 30 to 45 days of residual protection, rain or shine.  It is usually a good idea to re-apply every 30 to 60 days during the summer to get the best results.

QWe have an infant with a sensitive respiratory system. Is Eco PCO WP-X safe to use for indoor treatment?

A Eco PCO WP-X is normally very safe for indoor treatments. All occupants need to be out of the house while the application is being made and can return as soon as it is dry. Because people with certain respiratory conditions can be sensitive to things that do not bother other people at all, we recommend you speak to the infants doctor to be sure using the product indoors would be acceptable.

October 1, 2010Nicholas asked:

QI'm thinking of buying Eco PCO WP-X. I was wondering if I can spray this on my siding?
I have cedar siding, and it is a dark brown. I need to spray for box elder bugs, and I need to spray higher than what I have read(2 feet up the foundation). I want to know before I buy this product because I heard it works great.

AEco Pco WP-X can be sprayed on your siding, but it may leave a white powdery residue behind. The residue will eventually wear off or you can wash it off after it is no longer effective. If the powdery residue is not acceptable to you, you may want to try Talstar P. Talstar P is odorless, dries clear, leaves no stains, is non-irritating to the skin, and will not break down easily with rainfall and is highly recommended for box elder bugs.

QIs EcoPCO WP-X safe to spray on plants?
The boxelders have finally moved outside! But there are tons of them! They are in my flower beds. Can I spray the product directly onto the flowers and foliage? Thank you!

AEcoPCO WP-X can be used on plant foliage. You will need 3 tablespoons or 15 grams of EcoPco WP-X per gallon of water. Direct contact with the actual flowers should be avoided as bruising may occur.

May 9, 2011Jim asked:

QWhat do you recommend to spray on siding to exterminate wasps?
I'd prefer something non-toxic, and I've heard of Tri-Die and other desiccant dusts, but would they work on (or stick to) siding? Any other product recommendations for wasp control would be awesome. Thanks.

AWe see that you are looking for something that is "non-toxic". All insecticide products including Tri-Die have some level of toxicity but certain products have lower toxicity levels than others. We recommend that you use a product from the natural insecticide line that we carry. EcoPCO WP-X is a concentrated wettable powder insecticide that is made from a variety of botanical extracts and is labeled for wasps. EcoPCO WP-X will need to be mixed with water and can be applied to exterior surfaces where you see insect activity. Tri-Die is not labeled for wasps and most likely would not provide satisfactory results when used in the manner you have described.

June 7, 2012Vern from Sunrise, Fl asked:

QGeneral surface treatment
What is the recommended product for spraying inside around baseboards and appliances - Eco PCO WP-X or Eco PCO AR-X? Are both products safe for infants? We have a 9 months old who touches every surface with his wet little hands and puts everything in his mouth of course. I'm concerned that he would pick up the residue.

ABoth products would be safe to use in a home with an infant as long as you follow the product label instructions. Both products would be suitable for the application you described but we would recommend the Eco Pco AR-X because it comes with a straw attachment to help you get the product directly into the cracks and crevices around baseboards, door frames and window frames and will dry clear. The WP-X will leave behind a white powdery residue and will require you to apply it using hand pump sprayer which will not be as precise as the straw applicator on the AR-X.

July 28, 2009Tina asked:

QCan you spray Eco PCO WP-X directly on your mattress to get rid of mites?

AEco PCO WP-X is not labeled to treat directly on the mattress. For sensitive areas like a mattress, we would recommend Steri-Fab which is made for those areas.

February 10, 2010Dj asked:

QIs Eco PCO WP-X effective against spider mites?
Is Eco PCO WP-X effective against spider mites? Also, it says 3-month residual effectiveness, does this mean it kills on contact when pests crawls on the surface?

AEco PCO WP-X is not labeled for spider mites. Eco PCO WP-X will last for up to 3 months indoors and about 1 month outdoors. Residual effect means that even after the product is dry it will keep killing insects. The dry residual will take a bit longer to actually kill the insect but when insects come in contact with the active residual they will die after a short period of time. We recommend Talstar for spider mite control indoors and outdoors. Talstar is safe to use around people and animals and it is very gentle on plants.

QIs Eco PCO WP-X USDA NOP approved?

AWe are not sure what you mean by USDA approved, but Eco PCO WP-X is NOP (National Organic Program) compliant. If you have more specific questions, you can contact the manufacturer, Prentiss 800-652-2427, as they are the experts on their product.

September 1, 2011Beth from Garden City, Sc asked:

QIs Eco PCO WP-X meant to protect from bedbugs?

AEco PCO WP-X is not labeled for bedbugs. If you want an all natural bedbug control program you should consider purchasing Eco Exempt IC-2 plus Adjuvant along with Eco PCO D-X Dust and MotherEarth 2% Py Aerosol. Using these products in combination with each other every 7-10 days can help eliminate a bedbug infestation.

QWill Eco PCO WP-X kill spider?
I am looking for product that don't leave any white residue on dark surface. We use black lava rocks for our flower beds. Is the ECO PCO WP-X perform comparable to Cyber WP? Thanks!

AAll wettable powder insecticides including Eco PCO WP-X will leave behind white powdery residues. If you would like to use a product that will kill spiders and is all natural like the Eco PCO WP-X but won't leave behind the unsightly residue we recommend using Essentria IC3.
