MIXING INSTRUCTIONS AND APPLICATION EQUIPMENT: Shake well before using. EcoVia EC should be mixed with water or oil and applied with a handed pressurized compressed air sprayer, backpack sprayer or mist blower, power sprayer, mechanical aerosol misting/fogging equipment, (ULV or thermal), automated spray systems or other conventional application equipment. Clean spray equipment before use. Add approximately half of the required amount of water or oil to the tank and then add the appropriate amount of product, agitate and add the remaining water or oil. Apply the solution until surfaces are wet, but not to the point of run-off. Product requires only light agitation in spray systems after concentrate has been diluted. When diluting with water, prepare only the amount needed for use within 12 hours and maintain light agitation during use. Do not store spray solution overnight. After applications, rinse the tank with clean water, pressurize the tank and flush the valve and hose.

CRAWLING INSECT PESTS GENERAL PEST CONTROL: Dilute product at the rate of up to 1 to 2 fluid ounces per gallon (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply at the rate of 1 gallon per 1000 square feet or until area is damp. Treat areas where pests are present, or where pests normally feed, find shelter, or travel. Thoroughly spray all cracks and crevices where insects may hide or enter the building. Some of these areas include baseboards, floorboards, corners, around water and utility pipes, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, behind and beneath equipment and appliances, around floor drains, window and door frames and other possible pest harborage sites. Do not apply directly to house plants. Cover/avoid any pools or aquaria prior to spraying.
ANT CONTROL: Dilute product at the rate of up to 1 to 2 fluid ounces per gallon (use lower rate for maintenance service or smaller ants and higher rates for active infestations and larger ant species) as a spot treatment until the area is damp. Apply to ant trails, cracks, and crevices where ants are entering the structure, feeding or travelling. Remove food sources.
FLYING AND STINGING INSECT CONTROL: Dilute product at the rate of up to 1 to 2 fluid ounces per gallon (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply as a spot treatment in areas where insects rest, mate, or enter the structure such as window frames, doors, light fixtures, and other surfaces that attract flying insects. Apply spray to nests of stinging insects in the early morning or late evening when the highest number of insects will be at the nest site. (Use higher rates for stinging insects.)
TICKS AND FLEAS: Dilute product at the rate of up to 2 fluid ounces per gallon and apply until area is damp. Treat infested areas such as pet beds and resting areas, carpeted floors, cracks, voids, crevices, and other harborage areas nearby the infested areas. Do not spray this product directly on pets. Thoroughly clean, or replace, all pet bedding after infestation is eliminated. Pets in infested quarters should be treated with an appropriately labeled on-animal treatment.
BED BUGS: Dilute product at the rate of up to 2 fluid ounces per gallon. Remove bedding and take the bed apart. Treat the interior framework, joints and cracks in the bed frame. Treat the mattress and box spring, paying particular attention to tufts, folds and edges, and the interior framework of the box spring. Remove wall-mounted head boards and treat the back side. Treat picture frames, moldings, hollow furniture legs, cracks and crevices, along baseboards, and any areas with visible signs of infestation, including rugs and carpet. Treat upholstered furniture by removing or lifting (if possible) the cushions and treating the undersurface. Treat the interior framework, cracks and joints of the furniture, and the folds, tufts and edges of cushions and other upholstered areas. Do not treat toys and stuffed animals with product.
FOGGING: Dilute product at the rate of up to 2 to 4 fluid ounces per gallon as a space spray through conventional fogging equipment or misting systems (lower rates are recommended in food facility applications) and apply at the rate of 1 to 3 fluid ounces per 1000 cubic feet filling the area with mist or fog.
FOOD PROCESSING PLANTS, INCLUDING FEDERALLY INSPECTED: All food and food products should be removed or covered during treatment when using product as an area space spray/fog in food processing plants. Do not apply as a space spray/fog while facility is in operation. Also cover any sensitive surfaces (plastics, storage containers, vinyl, etc). Close and shut off air conditioning and ventilating equipment. All persons must vacate the treated area. Ventilate treated areas before reoccupying. Food processing operations may continue when this product is applied as a crack and crevice treatment only, with care and in accordance with the directions and precautions provided herein. Treat all accessible cracks and crevices using a compressed air sprayer at the rate of 1 to 2 fluid ounces per gallon directly before fogging for maximum effect.
Note: For oil dilutions that are applied in food handling establishments, a deodorized petroleum oil which conforms to CFR 21 (especially section 172.884) is required (such as Exxon Isopar M, Ashland Low Odor Base Solvent or equivalent). Tank mix applications must be made in accordance with the more restrictive of label limitations and precautions. No label dosages may be exceeded. This product cannot be tank mixed with any product with label prohibitions against such mixing. Fogging oils may create slippery conditions on surfaces. Retreat if reinfestation occurs.

FOGGING: For ULV (cold fog) and thermal fog applications, apply undiluted or dilute with light mineral oil or another suitable non-phytotoxic diluent. Use up to 0.25-1.5 fl oz of product per 1000 sq ft of ground surface area, or up to 10-60 fl oz per acre. Use higher rates for heavy vegetation and/or when target insect populations are high. For best results, apply when insects are most active and when conditions are conducive to keeping the fog close to the ground.
MOSQUITO CONTROL AND OTHER BITING INSECTS - AUTOMATIC SPRAYING SYSTEMS: To control house flies, horn flies, stable flies, horse flies, mosquitoes and gnats, dilute product concentrate immediately before use at 0.25 to 1.5 ounces per gallon of water (Use lower dilution rates for preventative and maintenance applications). Agitate while adding water and maintain light agitation while system is in use. In automatic spraying or misting systems used for mosquito and fly control, solutions of product may be stored for up to one month, as long as the system has adequate agitation. To dispense diluted concentrate through an automatic spraying system, adjust spray nozzles to deliver 1 ounce of liquid per minute at a maximum of 2,000 cubic feet of space per nozzle. Automatic spraying systems must not be programmed to release pesticides where food or feed is directly exposed.
STINGING INSECTS: Dilute product at the rate of 2 to 4 fluid ounces per gallon or 2 to 4 fluid ounces in sufficient water to treat 1000 sq ft (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply until area is thoroughly wet. Exceeding rates may result in phytotoxicity of treated plants.
USE ON ORNAMENTAL TREES AND SHRUBS: Dilute product at the rate of 1 to 2 fluid ounces per gallon or 1 to 2 fluid ounces in sufficient water to treat 1000 sq ft (use lower rate for maintenance service and higher rates for active infestations) and apply until foliage is thoroughly wet. Exceeding rate may result in phytotoxicity of treated plants. A small-scale test is recommended to verify safety to ornamental plants. While phytotoxicity testing has been carried out on ornamental plants under various environmental conditions, and no phytotoxicity has been observed, certain cultivars may be sensitive to the final solution.

EcoVia offers an eco-friendly alternative to synthetics. The main advantage over Essentria is less clogging of the nozzles. However, I've found the main competitor to be slightly more effective in controlling the target pest for longer periods. The odor dissipates quickly when used for exterior purposes. And, if your client is properly informed, they should expect an essential oil type odor during the application.

Best in 35 years
By Max in The Woodlands TX on 07/03/2014
I bought this product to see if I could control the spiders on my boat dock. It is the only product that I have found that is harmless to aquatic life and that I can apply with a pump up sprayer. I first used a Quickie spider cobweb brush to remove all the webs that I could see, and then sprayed the boat dock with the EcoVia. I didnít spray the decking nor any of the structure above about 8 feet. Spiders were controlled quite well for three weeks, but I needed to spray again before four weeks had passed. Iím highly satisfied with those results. A few minutes each week to brush any webs, and few minutes every third week to spray is well worth it to not be overran with spiders. I bought the small bottle for $17, and it should last me about four months at the frequency Iím using it. This is the first time in 35 years that I have a way to control the spiders with very little effort, and with a non-toxic product. I highly recommend this product combined with weekly use of a web brush.

Only has a 2 week residual and I had to re-apply every 2 weeks for my customer. Not near as effective as bifienthrin. Oil based and ruined my rubber gaskets in my Stihl sr 450. Chemical tank and hose had a thick oil coating on it and took me hours to clean. Bought 2 bottles and will be sending the unopened one back.

This product worked very well on our infestation of midges. Even pest control could not get them under control. We live on a lake with a sea wall and they hatch every day. We had so many you couldn't walk out in the yard. I like this product because it is safe to use around pets and it does the job.

Eco Via EC
By Chuck in Athens, Georgia on 09/11/2015
Product worked as described, almost too good. Very fast shipping. Eliminated all of the chiggers from around my pond and I haven't seen one snake, since I have applied it. Absolutely no negative impact to my fish and frogs. Excellent product and I will definitely buy again next spring!

I am giving this 3 stars only because is too early for me to say if this EcoVia EC really works not because its bad . I bought this almost near fall where most insects are gone. I bought enough to last me till next spring which by then I would be able to say if it really works or not. What I can say is that it does have a strong smell to it but almost like an oil mixture with diesel but not that bad. I haven't moved in yet so I was able to spray and leave for 2 weeks, but the smell is still there after 2 weeks.

Eco Via EC
By Gary in Billings Montana on 12/26/2014
Eco Via EC emulsifiable concentrate from DoMyOwPestControl.com is a great product that works. the easy mix bottles make mixing the product for spraying easy. My place was infected with fugal gnats from a rotten tree growing into the wall and cement slab. Black mold was easy to see on this same wall. My first application of this product had an amazing kill of larva and pupal. The call I made for help to DoMyOwnPestControl was very help full and kept my from giving up on these pest that are hard to control. I have alot of work left getting rid of the black mold and rotten tree breading grounds but this product has Kept the gnat population down considerable. I am certain that once I get the breading grounds removed and with the used of this product I will be fungal gnat free.

Carpet Beetle Nightmare
By Susan in New York, NY on 03/31/2016
We've been battling carpet beetles in our NYC apt for 6+ mos and are pulling our hair out trying to break a never ending cycle -- bugs, eggs, larvae, pupae, bugs again --without toxic pesticides. EcoVia may work well - i did witness contact kill with the larvae. Unfortunately, I can't get past the smell. I grew up on a farm and use many botanical solutions (so I can deal with lots of smells), my nose draws the line with this stuff. :( On the upside, the smell dissipates after several hours, so I will make use of it before heading out of town and on the exterior of our windows.

Eco Via is easy on the environment and somewhat easy on the insects. We had to apply 3 times before we saw results with mosquitoes. Eco Via did not discourage the horse flies but after 3 applications at least the mosquito population was diminished.
By Steve in Brownsville, Texas on 10/07/2016
Overall happy so far with results. A little confused about why the measuring spout is there. Seemed to kill the bedbugs. Will do the recommended retreatment in 4 weeks.

02/24/2014 Katie from Caldwell, Idaho
QDoes EcoVia EC offer a residual effect when applied outside?
I want to use this product as a spider barrier around the outside of my home. It will obviously be subjected to rain, sun, etc. How long will it provide an effective barrier?
APer the manufacturer, EcoVia EC has a 4 week residual. EC products do not have the same length residuals as synthetic insecticides.
03/14/2014 Lauren from Los Angeles Ca
QHow would I apply this to closets and around home? Is there a spayer that comes with it?
AEcoVia is diluted with water according to label instructions and applied with a pump sprayer such as Chapin 1 gallon sprayer. You want to focus on cracks and crevices and can be applied indoors and out.
02/24/2014 Cindy from Gloucester Va
QCan EcoVia EC be used with a fly attractant and the residual if in protected area?
This is a contact kill. Will it continue to kill once product is dry on applied area?
AEcoVia EC is labeled for flies. Per the manufacturer, it has a residual for up to 4 weeks. We recommend that you spray in areas that you have not applied an attractant or a bait for any type of insect control. Please click on the link for more information on our fly control products. Please refer to the product labels to determine if they would work well for the type of fly you are trying to treat. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

QDo you sell organic mosquito misting insecticide?
I have used Riptide and Vectorban Plus most recently. My wife wants a "natural" alternative. Please advise.
A Yes, we have several options. EcoVia EC from Rockwell labs is a National Organic Program certified insecticide that can be used in mosquito misting systems. A similar product that is also available is Essentria IC3. We also sell the all-natural product Naprovit PRO Plus, which has†a different plant oil base and can be used in misting systems.

QDoes EcoVia EC hurt honey bees?
I have 2 honey bee hives and looking to help with mosquitos
AEcoVia EC can be toxic to honey bees that may come in contact with it.
05/05/2015 Micah from Statesville, Nc
QDoes the residual affect depend on how you treat using EcoVia EC?
Does EcoVia EC last long when using a handheld push vs a mister, because of the amount that is applied is more from a hand held pump? I always thought organic insecticides only last about two week and synthetic lasts up to a month?
AEcoVia EC will have the same residual if you apply in a pump sprayer or mister. It will offer about a 3-4 week residual and synthetic pyrethroids offer a monthly exterior residual.

QWhat's the most affective natural product in the market?
Am looking for the best natural product in the market to work against ants, roaches, fleas, spiders. Etc
AWe would recommend EcoVia EC. It is green product made with plant oils. It is labeled for various types of pests, including ants, roaches, fleas, etc. It can be used indoors and outdoors. You will mix 1-4 oz of EcoVia EC per gallon of water depending upon application site and insect. See product label for specific application instructions.
QWhat is the best thing to treat for spiders on a lake property?
AIf you need to spray all the way up to the water line as well as around any dock areas for the spiders and other bugs they are feeding on, then you would use a product like EcoVia. Its a great all natural product that will eliminate the spiders food sources as well as the spiders, and is safe for aquatic life in the lake. It can be sprayed around the foundation and window and door frames, as well as eaves and edges of roof lines and patios and decks. It can also be sprayed on bushes and lawns for pest control and is completely safe to kids and pets once dry.

QPesticide to control spiders, flying gnats, mayflies and mud daubers
We are searching for a product suitable to be used around an aquatic setting. I am responsible for the upkeep of a large marina on a Federal Reservoir in Kansas. We suffer from an over-abundance of flying insects which attract spiders which attract mud daubers which irritates everyone. I need a pesticide that I can apply to the concrete walkways, metal support columns and the roof beams that will provide a contact and residual control of these predominant insects pests. As you may understand the problem is that we are a floating structure over the lake waters. Would you recommend a product for my application.
AEcoVia would be a good product to use over water as it poses no aquatic toxicity and is an all natural product. It will not provide a contact kill and concentrates are not designed to do so once dry but will last about 2-3 weeks on exposed outside surfaces, longer on surfaces not exposed to the eliminates.

QTalstar P vs Green Products for Mosquito Control
I bought Talstar P from you guys to use in my Stihl SR 200 mister, and the stuff is outstanding! We have a mosquito free yard even after a few summer thunderstorms. My question is can I expect to get the same results from one of your green products? If so, which one would you recommend? My lot backs up to a few acre pond, and I have a small garden so I have second thoughts about using Talstar P again even though it works so well. We also have used Eradico in the past for mosquito control and would like to know what they spray. Thanks in advance!
AYes, our green products would work just as well as Talstar P (Talstar One) does. We would recommend using EcoVia EC. It is a wonderful green product that has a residual of 3-4 weeks. You would use 2-4 fl. oz. per gallon of water for mosquitos in your mister. This product is not labeled to be sprayed on edibles but can be used as a broadcast across your lawn, ornamentals and trees. This product can also be used in a regular sprayer as well.

QResidual Duration fro EcoVia EC
You stated for a previous question that the residual duration for this product is 3-4 weeks. Is that when mixed with water or oil or does it matter?
AEcoVia EC does have a residual of 3-4 weeks no matter what you use to dilute the product. Please let us know if you have any questions.
