Seen multiple carpenter bees squirming on the ground the following day with minimal sightings on the structure. Left garage door open and that is the only place I have not sprayed yet and see activity. They are next. Now when I see an insect on any of my structures....Dead Bug Walking!

Seems to be working very well for Scorpions that try to get inside this time of year, summer, in the Phoenix area.

Equil Lanbda the best for Scorpions
By Fwk in Peoria, AZ on March 8, 2012
Used to use Bifon IT. Equil Lambda is much better for Scorpions here in Phoenix area. A bit more expensive, but lasts at least 2-3 months.

Ants a problem
By Lewshu in Missouri on June 25, 2011
Doesn't seem to kill ants. Still have small ants crawling up the side of the house, and getting in the house.
By Avery in Knoxville, TN on February 24, 2015
I switched over to Equil Lambda after using Demon WP and got better results. I used it outdoors and for usually 3 months at a time the carnage of insect bodies was visible. Even for the occasional large insect like a wasp or centipede that made it through a door gap and inside they were on their way out and dragging themselves across the floor when I found them. I applied it at the rate for spiders and scorpions.

Benefits of Lambda CyHalothrin in a Micro Encapsulation
By Don in Knoxville, TN on October 14, 2014
Lambda-cyhalothrin is a very good chemical and I especially like it in a micro encapsulated formulation. I decided to switch to this chemical over four years ago for controlling Asian Ladybug Beetles, Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs, and Kudzu bugs. It has worked better than any other chemical we had been using up to that point. If this chemical continues to perform like I believe it will we will continue to use it. Originally we used another brand and based off of the claims from their cut sheet I had several questions and called the factory to speak with the plant chemists. The plant chemists answered the first two questions. When I asked about the longevity claims based off of their datasheet inquiring if their Polymer Encapsulation media contained an ultraviolet inhibitor to get that long of a life he started screaming about not revealing any proprietary information and slammed the phone down. It was an honest question and guess I got my answer. Spiders are always a problem even with spraying chemicals and webbing. Unless the chemical gets on the spiders body it does no good. The spiders just continue to walk through life on their stilt legs with no effect. Since this product is a micro encapsulated formulation we have started using it for spider control hoping that the spiders will bump into one of those millions of little landmines left behind after the water evaporates and get a dose of chemical helping to control their numbers. Having earned advanced degrees in both chemistry and business I look at the Pest Control products we use in the company from several viewpoints. Those include: the chemical makeup, effectiveness on targeted pests, toxicity to pets and people, and also cost/benefit. It is tough sometimes to separate the chemistry side from the business/service side. I hope this has been of benefit to you. Thank You, Don
works for house centipedes
By EK in NYC, NY on October 6, 2014
After trying some other products (like Tempo) I've finally had success with Equil + DForce HPX. I sprayed liberally 3 ft up/2ft out on the outside of the house, and also at the basement (brick house) ceiling where the rafters meet the masonry of the walls. AND spot spraying the DForce HPX in rooms where we had been seeing a lot of centipedes. After a few days, there were markedly less of them, and I even found a few dead ones. After 6 weeks, a few more were spotted, and I reapplied the DForce HPX inside, and have only seen one more (moving slow) in the next two weeks. The weather is turning colder now, so I don't expect to see many more anyway. But I will be out with my sprayer next spring before the first warm weather hits. I recommend both of these products, but reapplication will be necessary throughout the summer, esp for the DForce HPX.

We have been having a scorpion problem in the past few months. We had tried everything over the counter. And several pest control services and nothing worked. Within 2 days of spraying this product we have seen several dead scorpions, and we every bug that has crossed this path dies instantly. Highly Recommend !!, would never use anything else
Equil Lambda for scorpions
By Jennifer in Center Point, TX on July 29, 2014
Have lived in this house now for 1.9 yrs. We had it inspected prior to purchasing it. Inspector made a comment that there were a few dead scorpions in the house but as soon as we moved it, they would leave. The house had been empty for about a year. We have been struggling with scorpions since that time. We have used several commercial insecticides, have had a prior exterminator examine the house, replaces weatherstripping and still see scorpions. Contacted DYOPC and they made some recommendations to how we were spraying. Purchased this product, sprayed it on 14 July and last night, (2 weeks later), saw one very alive scorpion scampering across the bathroom floor. Not sure this product is any better than any other.
So far, so good
By Milt in Eustace, TX on July 7, 2014
I've sprayed a couple of times now in a limited area around our garden plots. The next day the grasshopper population is substantially reduced but after that they return rather quickly after spraying. I'll keep spraying through the summer to keep the critters from eating up our garden.

Not entirely sold but it works well.
By Nick in IL on December 5, 2013
I had to give it 4 stars as at this newer price I would pay the extra for demand cs. Both work equally well but equil has more of a strong odor, almost mineral spirit like. It does fade after while but personally I'll pay the extra $4.50 for the brand name demand and avoid the odor.

Cheap and Effective
By 209 in Easton, MD on September 28, 2013
I use Equil Lambda to spray the outer edges of the carpet in my home to keep the seasonal insect populations down. Crickets die within minutes of walking across the edges of the carpet. The other insects walk in, slow down, stop moving, and die. This chemical keeps working for 3 weeks after the application has occurred. *evil laughter* Remember folks, you have to follow the directions on the label of any chemical. It protects you and the environment. Do not exceed maximum application rates or minimum application intervals. You are wasting money by applying more chemicals than are required to do the job. Obtain a chemical applicators license if your state requires you to have one to spray chemicals on your property.(Most states do not have this requirement.) The tests are super easy as long as you can do algebra and calculate ppm rates. :) 10/10, would buy again (when I run out two years from now)

April 28, 2011 Josh asked:
QCan Equil Lambda 9.7 CS be applied on carpets inside?
AEquil Lambda 9.7 can be used indoors and will not stain carpet. Equil can be used around the perimeter of the carpet only but should not be used to treat the entire carpet per the product label.
April 29, 2011 Dane asked:
QDoes Equil Lambda have an odor?
Demand is essentially odorless. Cyonara had a strong enough odor we couldn't use it inside. Is Equil Lambda 9.7 CS odorless like Demand?
AYes, the Equil-lambda is the same formulation as Demand CS and is virtually odorless. We have had no customer complaints on the Equil-lambda brand whatsoever.
December 15, 2010 Jlr asked:
QIs Equil Lambda the same product as the Cyonara? I purchased this in a kit just a few weeks ago.
I thought that when Cyonara was replaced by another product in the kit, it would be with Phantom and not a similar product.
AEquil Lambda is a better product than Cyonara. Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer. The Cyonara product is not micro-encapsulated. Phantom is a very good product, one of the best. However, the one bottle of Phantom does not make that many finished gallons because it requires 3 oz. per gallon of water, and it is very expensive. While it is an excellent product for bed bug treatment, we still have to walk a fine line of affordable, yet effective bed bug treatments. We do allow our customers to substitute products, so if you wanted to use Phantom instead then you can still get the kit and just pay the difference between the Equil Lambda CS and the Phantom.
April 28, 2011 Josh asked:
QWill this product be washed away after rain?
AWhen Equil Lambda 9.7 is applied as directed on the product label it will not be washed away with rainfall. Once Equil has been applied on a surface and has been allowed to dry it will not re-constitue with rainfall or wash away.

Barbie from Rockford,il asked:
QIs Equil Lambda 9.7 CS safe to use around kittens?
AEquil Lambda 9.7 CS is safe for use in a home with kittens as long you follow the product label. The kittens should be removed from the area where you will be applying the product and they can return to the area as soon as it is dry.

Marc from Anthem, Az asked:
Qwhat is the temperature range that equil lambda 9.7 cs should be stored between.

Michelle from London, England asked:
QIt is ok to use for bed bugs with pregnant woman?
I am 18 weeks pregnant and want to check it is safe to be around this chemical when dry when pregnant, as it lasts for so long.
A Equil Lambda 9.7 CS is safe for pregnant persons to be around after it has dried when applied as directed. It cn take 1-2 hours to dry.

Denny from Clio, Michigan asked:

Equil Lambda dries clear and will not leave a white residue behind. You will need to use .8 fl oz Equil Lambda per gallon of water in your tank.

Clark from Bemidji Mn asked:
Qanything overall better than Tempo SC for mosquito control (combined effectiveness and longevity)
Not concerned with larval control - only adult mosquito. Tempo has always done an exxcellent job regarding combined kill, repellancy and longevity - and relatvie human safety. Just wontering if any newer products might be even better.
A Micro-encapsulated insecticides tend to last longer outdoors that suspended concentrates and for that reason a product like Equil Lambda 9.7 CS would be a great upgrade. Equil Lambda features EnduraCap technology which protects the active ingredient in even the toughest environments, allowing Lambda 9.7 to continue killing pests long after you've sprayed. Plus, the advanced EnduraCap technology protects the active ingredient from heat and harsh UV rays when sprayed outdoors.

Robbie from Baton Rouge, La asked:
QCan I use the same pump for this that I previously used with Suspend SC or will that cause a problem?
Do I need to get a new pump to use this product? I am considering switching to this instead of Suspend SC because, although it may have been somewhat effective, we still have wasps and carpenter bees, among other things.
A It is perfectly fine to use any other product out of the same sprayer, as long as you triple rinse the sprayer and wash it out thoroughly. You should always triple rinse the sprayer if you are changing the product that you are using. Triple rinse means to rinse out the inside of the sprayer 3 times, and also fill it with water and run clean water through the hose for at least 1 minute to make sure that there is no residual left in the hose in addition to the tank.

Ott from Katy,tx asked:
QIs it okay to alternate Equil Lambda 9.7 CS and Talstar P every other month for perimeter control?
A Equil Lambda and Talstar P have an outdoor perimeter residual for up to 30 days. You can alternate treating with one at a time each month if necessary. It not recommended to treat with both at the same time.

Lori from Meridian,texas asked:
QWhat is the difference between Equil Lambda and Demon Max?
The main difference is the active ingredient. Both are going to offer a good kill and a long lasting residual though initially Demon Max may have a faster kill because it is oil based. On the other hand because Demon Max is oil based it could stain old paint/siding and it does have an odor. Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer and is virtually odorless.

QCan you use Equil Lambda 9.7 with a hose end sprayer?
Can you use this product in a hose end sprayer that attaches to a garden hose to control mosquitos?
Yes, Equil Lambda 9.7 CS can be used in hose end sprayers. You may want to add a few drops of water to the Equil Lambda 9.7 CS to thin it out before application.
