Fantastic Effective Environmentally Safe Product
By Victor on March 12, 2013
We live in a pretty pristine, ecologically sensitive environment and don't want to pollute with insect/pesticides yet have to protect our home from the many possible pests that live here, too. We tried an expensive pest control service who claimed they used "safe" products but after having spider/other pest problems their sprays didn't seem to phase, we researched and found the chemicals used were far from "environmentally safe". Instead for the last 3 years we've used this excellent product all around the perimeter of the house exterior with amazing results and we use the liquid version to spray inside areas as a supplement. We have now have zero problems with the many types of ants, spiders, misc bugs, mice, and other pests that we don't want infesting our house AND we save lots of money. This product has a powerful minty smell, should be applied in the evening after most pollinators are inactive (including hummingbirds), and is effective for entire "bug seasons". Our friends and neighbors have also tried these products and we're all grateful to have a safe, cost effective, non toxic remedy for pest control that really and truly works great. Free shipping is also awesome.

Essential G Granules. Not worth $56.50
By Milous on December 29, 2012
Does not appear that this product helped at all. We followed instructions to the tee and now have more ant piles than we had in the beginning. I would not recommend this product at all. Not worth the money invested. Anyone have any other ideas?

QWill Essentria G Granules hurt my dog?
my dog is in the back yard and I dont want him to get sick if i decide to use this.
AAs long as you follow the application instructions on the Essentria G Granules product label this product will not harm your dog. Your dog should be out of the area while you are doing the application and he can return to the area after you have watered in the granules and the surface has dried (usually about 2 hours)
March 14, 2012Yjm from Texas asked:
QWill Essentria G Granules work on ghost ants?
AEssentria G will kill any ghost ants that come into contact with the treated areas. This product will not however be carried back to the colony to kill the ants there. We recommend using an ant bait granule such as Niban granules for situations where you need to get the entire colony.
February 17, 2012Cathy from Ny asked:
QWhat is the temperature range that I must abide by to apply Essentria G Granules?
Can I use this any time of the year? I live in upstate NY where it can get cold. Also can I mix this with/apply over an IGR I have that contains nylar. Do you offer an alternative IGR?
AYou can use Essentria as long as the ground is not frozen. You can also use it conjunction with an IGR. There are no alternative IGRs on the market. IGR's are synthetic growth hormones that mimic the growth hormones of insects so there really is not a way to make a "natural" product like these.

QCan I use Essentria G Granules indoors?
Having a hard time finding an adulticide I can buy in NY State. Have used this product outside and it works great. Would like to sprinkle around the house for adult fleas. Have already used an IGR indoors.
AYou cannot use the Essentria Granules indoors because they are not labeled for indoor use. Alpine Flea Insecticide Aerosol with IGR is the newest flea control product from the Alpine line of products. Alpine products are made from dinotefuran which was granted a reduced risk status from the EPA. This means that Alpine Flea Insecticide with IGR is one of the safest products you can have in your home for flea control. The powerful ingredient in Alpine flea insecticide, dinotefuran, provides 30 days of control for adults fleas, and since Alpine flea insecticide contains an IGR, it also provides up to 7 months of control on hatching eggs.

QA safe "Green" product to control spiders and scorpions.
We're in the countryside in south central Texas. For 3+ years, we've been using a local company to control, for the most part, spiders (particularly Brown recluse). The technician normally sprays around the house perimeter inside and outside, and sometimes spreads some granules, which smell really nice, around outside as well. We really don't know much about the products that are being used and are concerned for the well-being of our numerous inside and outside dogs, cats, and the guineas that search the grounds looking for bugs, etc. Any recommendations?
AFor a green treatment in your area you can first use, Essentria G granules in the yard. To treat cracks, crevices and around the perimeter of your home, you can use Essentria IC3. Both products contain wintergreen which will result in a wintergreen scent. If you can find out which products the tech was using we can try and get them for you, if we do not have them.

April 14, 2012Leah from Buford, Ga asked:
QDo I have to keep pets out of the yard after application of Essentria G Granules?
How long after I spread the granules can I let the dogs back in the yard?
AYou should keep your pets out of the area during the application of Essentria G Granules
and they can return to the area as soon as it is dry, which usually takes an hour or two.

QWill Essentria G Granules kills clover mites on my lawn?
July 9, 2013Megan from Lansdale, Pa asked:
QDo the Essentria granules work for Mosquitoes or am I better off using the spray on my lawn?
I have a terrible mosquito and no-see-um problem in my back yard. To the point we almost pretend we don't have a backyard. :( I have kids and and organic garden. Not sure what to do. Any product advice or recommendations?
AThe Essentria G Granules will do a great job on your lawn for mosquitoes and other insects and will last for roughly 2-3 months. However, the lawn is not the only area that the mosquitoes will breed and harbor so only treating the lawn will only have solve the problem. You could use the granules in the yard and use the Essentria IC3 spray on the surrounding bushes, trees, flowers and other ornamentals that are prime areas for a mosquito population. Or you could just use the liquid in all areas you are wanting to treat. Although the Essentria IC3 is an OMRI listed product and is all natural, it is not listed for use on edible vegetation so you wouldnt spray this product directly on your organic garden. Once you have treated your yard and surrounding areas, keep any pets and children out of the area until the surfaces have dried. Once dry, it is completely safe to resume normal activity. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
