Essential G Granules. Not worth $56.50
By Milous on December 29, 2012
Verified PurchaseDoes not appear that this product helped at all. We followed instructions to the tee and now have more ant piles than we had in the beginning. I would not recommend this product at all. Not worth the money invested. Anyone have any other ideas?

Fantastic Effective Environmentally Safe Product
By Victor on March 12, 2013
Verified PurchaseWe live in a pretty pristine, ecologically sensitive environment and don't want to pollute with insect/pesticides yet have to protect our home from the many possible pests that live here, too. We tried an expensive pest control service who claimed they used "safe" products but after having spider/other pest problems their sprays didn't seem to phase, we researched and found the chemicals used were far from "environmentally safe". Instead for the last 3 years we've used this excellent product all around the perimeter of the house exterior with amazing results and we use the liquid version to spray inside areas as a supplement. We have now have zero problems with the many types of ants, spiders, misc bugs, mice, and other pests that we don't want infesting our house AND we save lots of money. This product has a powerful minty smell, should be applied in the evening after most pollinators are inactive (including hummingbirds), and is effective for entire "bug seasons". Our friends and neighbors have also tried these products and we're all grateful to have a safe, cost effective, non toxic remedy for pest control that really and truly works great. Free shipping is also awesome.

QWill Essentria G Granules hurt my dog?
my dog is in the back yard and I dont want him to get sick if i decide to use this.
AAs long as you follow the application instructions on the Essentria G Granules product label this product will not harm your dog. Your dog should be out of the area while you are doing the application and he can return to the area after you have watered in the granules and the surface has dried (usually about 2 hours)
February 17, 2012Cathy from Ny asked:
QWhat is the temperature range that I must abide by to apply Essentria G Granules?
Can I use this any time of the year? I live in upstate NY where it can get cold.
Also can I mix this with/apply over an IGR I have that contains nylar. Do you offer an alternative IGR?
AYou can use Essentria as long as the ground is not frozen. You can also use it conjunction with an IGR. There are no alternative IGRs on the market. IGR's are synthetic growth hormones that mimic the growth hormones of insects so there really is not a way to make a "natural" product like these.
March 14, 2012Yjm from Texas asked:
QWill Essentria G Granules work on ghost ants?
AEssentria G will kill any ghost ants that come into contact with the treated areas. This product will not however be carried back to the colony to kill the ants there. We recommend using an ant bait granule such as Niban granules for situations where you need to get the entire colony.
April 14, 2012Leah from Buford, Ga asked:
QDo I have to keep pets out of the yard after application of Essentria G Granules?
How long after I spread the granules can I let the dogs back in the yard?
AYou should keep your pets out of the area during the application and they can return to the area as soon as it is dry, which usually takes an hour or two.
July 19, 2012Cathy from Ny asked:
QCan I use granules indoors?
Having a hard time finding an adulticide I can buy in NY State. Have used this product outside and it works great. Would like to sprinkle around the house for adult fleas. Have already used an IGR indoors.
AYou cannot use the Essentria Granules indoors because they are not labeled for indoor use. Alpine Flea Insecticide Aerosol with IGR is the newest flea control product from the Alpine line of products. Alpine products are made from dinotefuran which was granted a reduced risk status from the EPA. This means that Alpine Flea Insecticide with IGR is one of the safest products you can have in your home for flea control. The powerful ingredient in Alpine flea insecticide, dinotefuran, provides 30 days of control for adults fleas, and since Alpine flea insecticide contains an IGR, it also provides up to 7 months of control on hatching eggs.
