    Q
Does Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate kill or prevent termites?
    A

Essentria IC3 Insecticide Concentrate is not labeled for termite control. While it would likely kill termites that you sprayed with it directly, this product is not for use for termite prevention or to treat existing infestations. If you are looking for a greener product for subterranean termite control, you may consider Altriset which is the first EPA reduced-risk termiticide. You could also use a termite baiting system instead of doing a soil treatment.

    Q
It's getting cold outside (northern MN) - will Essentria IC3 still be effective in the house at this time?
I've got what I believe are cluster flies in every window well and buzzing around every window in my house. Would it be best to spray or fog?
    A

Unfortunately, you are past the time to treat your home for cluster flies.  Cluster flies enter your home in the late fall, early winter, usually around late September/early October.  The flies enter through cracks around windows and doors and under siding.  As the weather warms up or as your heat kicks on, the flys will emerge. Most will go outside but some will be confused and end up in the house.  Next year, you should treat the outside of your home earlier in the year to prevent entry.  For now, you can spray the inside of the home to help kill flys that are still in the wall.  If you spray baseboards, window sills, etc you will kill the flies as they come out.  As far as the flies that are in the house already, I would suggest our CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrin.  It should kill any that are flying around in the room you set the bomb off in.  Be sure to read all directions and vacate the property for a few hours after setting it off.

    Q
What Is The Best Product For Heavily Wooded Riverbank?
We have an 400 square foot clearing in a heavily wooded area that sits on the bank of a slow-moving river. Additionally, there is a slow-moving, tributary wash as well. We have a firepit and some chairs there, but bugs prevent its use most of the year. Ants and spiders are the worst, but roaches, ticks and mosquitos are on the list of worst-offending pests. I'd like to be able to apply a product once every couple of months without it costing an arm and a leg. It also has to be pet-friendly and non-toxic to fish, as this area drains directly into the river. Can you recommend a product? Thanks!
    A
Essentria IC3 would be a fantastic option as it is labeled for those insects and is aquatic friendly.

    Q
Effective on horse stall walls / shavings?
Will this stuff once dry repel Mosquitos if they land on a horse stall wall for example? Also, can you treat the pine shavings or would it be toxic to horses if they eat off the floor/shavings. Also what about concrete floors in barns?
    A
The Essentria IC3 does leave a residual after it dries that could kill mosquitoes that come in contact with it. You should not apply this product to anything the horses may eat. The best way to treat the concrete floors would be good sanitation since this is not a typically a place mosquitoes would land. You could use the Essentria IC3 on the floors, but this probably would not help much with the flying insects.

    Q
Can Phantom termiticide/pesticide be combined with Essentria without affecting the phantom
    A
Phantom cannot be be mixed with Essentria. They use two different modes of action to kill. Phantom kills pests because, they can't even detect Phantom, so they walk right over it and then spread it to other insects hidden behind walls or in their home colony, killing every other pest they come in contact with. Phantom is virtually odorless, clear in color and provides superior pest control with a long-lasting residual. Essentria uses botanical oils and to more sensitve insects can repel.
