Directions for Use
Each Just One Bite II bait bar weighs one pound (16 oz) and is scored to be broken into 2 oz pieces.
RATS: While wearing gloves, apply two to eight 2-oz pieces of bar (or one entire BAR) at each placement location in infested areas. For burrow applications, insert one to two 2-oz pieces of bar at least six inches into each active burrow. Check treated burrows each morning and evening to make sure that baits have not been pushed out of burrows. For above ground treatment, space bait placements 15 to 30 feet apart. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 10 days or until fresh signs of rat activity cease to appear.
MICE: While wearing gloves, break bar into 2 oz. pieces and apply one 2-oz bar piece per placement in infested areas at 8 to 12 foot intervals in infested areas. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for 15 days or until fresh signs of mouse activity cease to appear.
FOLLOW-UP: Replace contaminated or spoiled bait immediately. Wearing gloves, collect and dispose of all dead animals and leftover bait properly. To prevent reinfestation, eliminate sources of rodent food, water and harborage as much as possible. If reinfestation does occur, repeat treatment. Where a continuous source of infestation is present, establish permanent bait stations and replenish bait as needed.

1 bite bye bye
By Ken in Ramah CO on 09/13/2014
I live in a 5th wheel, I was overrun to the point of being kept awake at nite. placed the bait in areas where I found mouse droppings. In 1 day traffic diminished. In 4 days no signs of mice and my doxie settled down since he had nothing to hunt. GREAT STUFF, THIS IS THE WAY TO GO. revenge is best served with 1 bite bait bars.

Just One Bite ia the BEST
By Lb in Boulder,Colorado on 09/17/2014
We have been using this product for a couple of years with great success. We don't see dropping any more. Along with using Just One Bite we also don't leave water out for birds that mice and rats can get too. Ordering Just One online was our ticket to not seeing more dropping of mice or rats. THANKS

Lots of dead mice!
By Geri in Glentana, Montana on 11/08/2014
This product is the best I've ever used .. BAR NONE! If you're serious about ridding yourself of rodent problems, this is the product you want. No spillage that can harm pets or children, we just set out a bar and let the pest have an open buffet. We live in the middle of grain and hay fields and this product makes rodents disappear.

This stuff really works!!! I think it took a bar and a half. My problem is solved.
By Rick in RI on 09/26/2016
I've used this product before, purchased a single pack at a time. Much more convenient and better price to purchase a pack of 8 from DoMyOwnPestControl. These were delivered promptly and well-packed.

QWhich bait stations work best for applying Farnam Just One Bite II Bars?
I see that these break into 2 oz bars which are larger than the bloxs from other companies. Which bait stations will work for these larger size bars?

QWhere can i find the Farnam Just One Bite Bars in Houston?
Is this the item that kills but you will not smell the dead rodent?
AWe are unsure if there are places local to you that carry the Farnam Just One Bite Bars as this is a professional grade product and will normally only be found through specialized retailers like ourselves. We offer free shipping on all of our orders with no minimum quantity required and with the free shipping to Houston it normally takes 2-4 business days. As far as how the bait works, there is actually no such thing as a bait that will make the rodents not smell after they eat it and die from it. This an "old wives tale" that has been passed around for many years, but the fact is that if the rodent smells or doesn't is more dependent on where they die and the air flow of your home as to whether or not you will notice it.

QI used the Farnam Bars before and were effective, but lately I still have a few lingering rodents. Suggestions?
I'm considering having a professional come and they use contrac blox- so don't they have the same ingredient basically? Oh and I have a fridge with a small leak as well, but they used to work well, but not right now. One professional stated if we feed them it only sustains them.
ABoth the Farnam Bars and the Contrac Blox are great rodent baits, but they both have a slower kill time. It takes consuming a little more of the bait to get a lethal dose in their system, and death normally results within 2-5 days after the meal. The rodents could be reproducing at faster rates currently so you have a continuous cycle of rodents coming through, as one dies, another is born to come out shortly after. One way to try and eliminate the chances of more reproduction until they die, would be to swap to a bait like the Fastrac Blox. The kill time on this one is 1-2 days and they have to consume less of it to have a lethal dose. The fridge with the leak should have no effect on anything in your situation unless you are putting the bait where the water is getting on it and causing it to degrade or mold. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

QWhat is the risk of secondary poisoning from Farnam Just One Bite II Bars - like for a fox or coyote if they came across the dead or dying rat?
I have used this product before, but I am now in a new location with much more wildlife - such as foxes, buzzards, hawks, etc. I do not want to kill anything other than the rats.
A The risk of secondary poisoning with Farnam Just One Bite II Bars is very minimal. A rodent only consumes a very small amount of bait at a time and passes it very quickly, only keeping a small amount in their system until they succumb to the effects of the bait. A larger animal such as a fox or coyote would have to actually eat 20-30 rodents that have consumed the bait to be affected by it.

QWhat is the shelf life of Farnam Just One Bite II Bars?
AThe shelf life of Farnam Just One Bite II Bars is 2-3 years after the manufactured date. Per the manufacturer, they will need the UPC code and lot number in order to give you a better bate for expiration. Their phone number is 800-234-2269, Farnam Companies. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

QCan Farnam Just One Bite bars outside kill raccoons that feed on it?
A If a raccoon were to eat enough of the Farnam Just One Bite II Bars it could get sick or die. That is why baits are best placed inside tamper resistant bait stations to prevent non-target animal poisoning.
