  • Alternate Image 1

We also carry the FastPac PowerPack FSTP-18-G, which comes with a FG-120 spray gun instead of a wand.

FastPac Sprayer Systems, Inc. is quickly becoming the leader in the electric backpack industry.  The FastPac PowerPack Sprayer FSTP-18-W has a tank capacity of 4 gallons and can be comfortably carried with its ergonomically designed frame and padded full shoulder and waist belt harness.  A carrying handle is conveniently built in the screw on lid and the tank.  This electric back pack sprayer comes with nearly 5 ft. of hose which allows flexibility and reach in almost any situation.  The FSTP-18-W model uses an 8 amp battery that produces an amazing 70 psi and a flowrate of 1.2 gallons per minute.  It also has a multi-speed control knob next to the on/off/high switch to help control your flow rate. This incredible amount of pressure in a backpack sprayer allows it to reach up to 35 feet horizontally and 25 feet vertically. Comes with a home/office recharging station and an 8 amp rechargeable battery that will last up to 90 gallons worth of spraying.

The FSTP Sprayer will has the same battery, charger, wand or gun that the now obsolete ESR-18 had but with the new Model XDP-70 Pump with a 3 chamber head for for more reliable, and quieter - smoother, operation; a battery health meter; a tank flush out plug; and bolts securing the battery instead of straps.

    4 of 5 stars  Pretty Good...But Pricey
By in Georgetown KY on 07/22/2013

I needed a rechargeable backpack sprayer to replace a 10 year old Rocket that died. I maintain a 5 acre yard and want lower volume and precision. Not being able to do a hands-on comparison of the higher end sprayers I had to rely on online descriptions and reviews. I ordered the FSTP-18-W and have used it for several hours. Overall I think it is pretty good. On the plus side is the multi-speed control which I mostly keep on a low setting. It is fairly lightweight and comfortable to wear. I like the stability of the metal wand and the included pour-in screen. It is very quiet, only a little whistle from the air intake. On the negative side there is no cover over the battery and motor which I think is damage waiting to happen for someone who hauls their equipment around a lot. (Taking mine out of the box I found one clip that slides onto a battery terminal had been pulled off it's wire just during shipping.) The battery charger uses little alligator clips which work but it's a pretty rinky-dink system...come on this is the USA, surely we can do something better especially at this price. The battery "health meter" which I thought I'd like, actually goes up and down in direct relationship to the multi-speed control setting, and shows I need to recharge whenever I set the speed on low, so it doesn't seem to be of any use to me. I think the gun/wand handle would be hard to use by someone with a small hand. I know it seems my cons outweigh my pros but I do like this sprayer for home use and it works well for me...but it could be improved. I ordered from the manufacturer which costs $22 more for shipping, but they allow you to try it out with water and return it if you choose. DoMyOwnPestControl's return policy says it's yours when you open the box unless there's a defect. With the high cost of this sprayer that peace of mind was worth it to me.

QWhat is the weight of The FastPac PowerPack Sprayer FSTP-18-W and nozzles on the battery powered sprayer?
I'm sold on the outlook of no pumping arm this year! What's the empty weight, including batteries? Is there a fogging option at the adjustable nozzle?

AThe empty weight of the FastPac PowerPack Sprayer FSTP-18-W is 16 pounds, including the battery.  Unfortunately, there is not a fogging option on the wand and nozzle, only an adjustable nozzle for spray pattern.
