    Fast Trac block effectiveness

    By Bill on 02/12/2015

First time user, So far using the Fastrac Bait Blocks seems to have cut back on the roof rats we experience here. Been using about 3 weeks only. Have bait box at foot of large palm tree they hang out in. Will continue as directed and will have a better report later on, So far so good, Thanks.

Not as effective as I hoped.

    By Kay on 08/17/2017

Not sure this is the right product for me. I purchased 4 bait stations with this pail of Fastrac. I wanted something that would kill the rodents quickly, not over several days. Although I found a few dead mice, it has been a month and I still see signs of activity under the house and around the barn. I was told that the peanut butter bait might attract more mice, but, it would take longer to kill them. I just want something that works. Guess I'll give the peanut butter flavor a shot.

My Experience with Fastrac All-Weather Blox

    By Carolyn on 07/20/2020

I used this fastrac all weather blox with bait stations around my residential property. I can not tell if it worked or not because I continued to get mice mainly on the ground premises. One got inside my attic with the bait stations baited outside. This happened just recently. I had to remove the bait stations because every night I could hear the mice trying to get inside the bait station to get to the bait. So, I am not sure if the bait is enticing all the mice lurking in the neighborhood or if these are the same mice coming back for more. I bought this I believe last year but I am afraid to place them around my outside premises now, because I think the mice will find their way inside my house, especially the attic.

Not sure about the effectiveness of Fastrac

    By David on 06/05/2023

I'm a little disappointed with the effectiveness of this product. I switched to Fastrac after using Ditrac for about a year cause I wanted a single feeding product that would kill rats. Having used Ditrac for over a year, I was still seeing feeding activity so I thought maybe a single feed product would be more effective. Oddly enough, feeding activity seems to have increased in a couple of stations since switching to Fastrac. I believe the feeding activity should be decreasing after a year of using Ditrac and three months using Fastrac. I live in a residential area, but there is a drainage sump behind our home on the other side of a cinder block wall with a vine covering it. I've never found a dead rat or any other rodent, but I assumed that if they were dying, perhaps that's occurring in the sump area. Is there something else I should use or do differently?

    Expert Response  Expert response:
We are sorry to hear the Fastrac did not meet expectations and are happy to help troubleshoot any issues. It is the top choice on the market to use for rodents due to fast kill and palatability. Seeing an increase in activity is a good sign and means that it is working and rodents are attracted to it, the number of rodents you are dealing with just may be larger than expected. You will not always see dead rodents as they die where ever they die but as long as they consume a lethal dose they will die. Rodenticides should actually be rotated to different actives to prevent resistance after 4-6 months if you still need to be dealing with them as well so there may have been a resistance issue with the Ditrac and the active wasn't killing them anymore and they were just being fed by the food based/other ingredients.
