The bait granules are taken back to the colony to be fed to other ants. You will begin to see results from Ferti-Lome Come and Get It! Fire Ant Killer within 12-24 hours with full colony control in 3-14 days. Apply as a mound or broadcast treatment. Repeat applications of Ferti-Lome Come and Get It! Fire ants moved into my compost pile. I wanted to use something organic to not ruin my compost. I used up most of the bag over a weeks time and nothing happened. Now Im just trying to get them to leave by disturbing them daily.

I tried this on 10 mounds I had in my yard. It says dead ants in 24 hours. It has been over 24 hours and y ants are still running around. I think it is just food for them. I will not buy this again.

Works Great for Us in GA
By Evelyn in Jefferson, GA on 07/25/2014
I don't know why it didn't work for other reviewers, but it has been vital for us for the last few years. All those mounds are likely one colony, which can extend up to an acre. It may not wipe out the colony, but it has kept our yard clear of mounds and safe for the kids without chemicals. I have to reapply every few weeks, whenever a new mound pops up, but I don't think that is unexpected or unreasonable.
Ferti-Lome Come and Get It! Fire Ant Killer Bait
By Sarah in Dublin, Georgia on 07/22/2017
I sprinkled as directed. Many times. At first ants tried to take the granules into the mound. The granules were too large to drag in. On future occasions the ants ignored the bait.
