AYes, the wood in the bait stations will rot if they are exposed to too much water. The wood inside the stations is untreated, raw wood. The stations are meant to deal with normal weathering and rain. Termites are attracted to moisture and so a certain amount in the station and the wood is ok. Too much though, and the wood will become moldy and rotten, and termites do not like that kind of wood. For optimum performance from the stations, you should not place them in areas where excess moisture will be an issue, like from your sprinkler. You should try to place the station closer to your home or re-direct the sprinkler away from the station. Keep in mind you will need to check the wood closely a couple times of year and replace the wood at least once a year, maybe more if it stays too wet.
