The Genus ECLIPSE Fly Light has been designed to take on a completely different appearance to that of a traditional insect light trap, with a shape and style formulated to blend discretely into front of house locations. Combine this discrete appearance with the use of new low visible black-light-blue bulbs, silent operation and the totally out of sight insect catch system, and the ECLIPSE is the ultimate mix of discretion and performance in flying insect control. Engineered by the market leading engineers at Brandenburg, ECLIPSE features innovative technology to maximize insect catch performance.
The new Light Blade technology provides forward angle reflection, concentrating the UVa output to
minimize blind-spots and maximize the UVa footprint for efficient and effective flying insect attraction.
ECLIPSE has innovative features that reduce service time. The unit features a side-hinged facia
allowing for easy servicing and maintenance to take place with both hands free. In every way, ECLIPSE is the realization of modern and effective flying insect control. The black Eclipse features 2 x 15 watt black light bulbs and is easy to service and install. The white Eclipse features 2 x 15 watt standard bulbs. A glue board trap hidden within traps nuisance flies, so they remain out of your customer's view. Each flylight comes with a light bulb(s) and one glue board(s) already installed.

QHow often do you need to replace the fly glue boards in the Genus Eclipse Fly Light?
AThe glue boards should be changed when they become filled with flies or if they become dusty and are no longer sticky. You should check the boards every 2 weeks initially. Once you see how long it takes the boards to fill up you can plan your scheduled changes accordingly.

QWhat might be our best bet this product or Vector Plasma one for gnats and flies?
We run a small food bank and have trouble with flies and gnats getting into product. Our warehouse does get very hot in the summer. Sincerely, Manna for Life Ministries (regular shoppers with you) Thanks
AThe Genus Eclipse Fly Light does do a good job but if the light is not going to be in a dining area or other place where folks may be disturbed by seeing the insects on the glue boards, we think lights with exposed bulbs and boards like the Vector Plasma One or the Mantis 1X2 do a better job in the long run.

QCan Genus Eclipse Fly Light be used outdoors, or is it indoor-use only?
I realize this is geared more towards commercial venues, but I'm looking for something similar to this to put on my back porch (I back up to a pond, and don't want to have a the normal tacky-looking bug zapper light hanging on my property).
AGenus Eclipse Fly Light is designed for indoor control. We do carry the Dynatrap Insect trap. This trap is designed for both indoor and outdoor control.

QDo flies see the light during the day?
AYes, flies see the Genus Eclipse Fly Light during the day. This fly light utilizes the UVa footprint for efficient attraction to the light. The Genus Fly Light is labeled to be used indoors so the flies will be attracted to it indoors. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

QDoes the UV light for the Eclipse kill honey bees?
AAlthough, Genus Eclipse Fly Light is not designed to attract bees, a bee cold fly into the glueboard and die. That would be very unllikely, however.
