Gly Pho-Sel Pro is a post-emergent, systemic herbicide with no soil residue activity. It is generally nonselective and gives broad spectrum control of many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody brush and trees. It is formulated as a water soluble liquid. No additional surfactant, additives containing surfactant, buffering agents or pH adjusting agents are needed or recommended. It may be applied through most standard industrial or field-type sprayers after dilution and thorough mixing with water or other carriers according to label instructions. Do not add surfactants, additives containing surfactants, buffering agents or pH adjusting agents to the spray solution when AGRISEL GLY PHO-SEL PRO 41% is the only pesticide used. Ammonium Sulfate may be used. See the MIXING DIRECTIONS section of this label for instructions.
Time to Symptoms:
Gly Pho-Sel Pro moves through the plant from the point of foliage contact to and into the root system. Visible effects on most annual weeds occur within 2 to 4 days, but on most perennial weeds may not occur for 7 days or more. Extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow activity of this product and delay development of visual symptoms. Visible effects are a gradual wilting and yellowing of the plant which advances to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.
Stage of Weeds:
Annual weeds are easiest to control when they are small. Best control of most perennial weeds is obtained when treatment is made at late growth stages approaching maturity. Refer to the annual, perennial, woody brush and trees rate tables for recommendations for specific weeds. Always use the higher rate of this product per acre within the recommended range when weed growth is heavy or dense or weeds are growing in an undisturbed (non-cultivated) area. Do not treat weeds under poor growing conditions such as drought stress, disease or insect damage, as reduced weed control may result. Reduced results may also occur when treating weeds heavily covered with dust.
Reduced control may result when applications are made to annual and perennial weeds that have been mowed, grazed, or cut, and have not been allowed to regrow to the recommended stage for treatment.
Heavy rainfall or irrigation soon after application may wash this product off of the foliage and a repeat application may be required for adequate control.
For best results, spray coverage should be uniform and complete. Do not spray weed foliage to the point of runoff.
Mode of Action:
The active ingredient in this product inhibits an enzyme found only in plants that is essential to formation of specific amino acids.
No Soil Activity:
Weeds must be emerged at the time of application to be controlled by this product. Weeds germinating from seed after application will not be controlled. Unemerged plants arising from unattached underground rhizomes or root stocks of perennials will not be affected by the herbicide and will continue to grow.
Degradation of this product is primarily a biological process carried out by soil microbes.
Gly Pho-Sel Pro does not provide residual weed control. For subsequent residual weed control, follow a labelapproved herbicide program. Read and carefully observe the cautionary statements and all other information appearing on the labels of all herbicides used. Use according to the most restrictive label directions for each product in the mixture. The tank mix product that is used must be registered for the proposed use site. Buyer and all users are responsible for all loss or damage in connection with the use or handling of mixtures of this product with herbicides or other materials that are not expressly recommended in this labeling. Mixing this product with herbicides or other materials not recommended on this label may result in reduced performance.
Annual Maximum Use Rate:
Except as otherwise specified in the crop section of this label, the combined total of all treatments must not exceed 8 quarts of this product per acre per year.* For non-crop uses, the combined total of all treatments must not exceed 10.6 quarts of this product per acre per year.

Very pleased with product - have used it for years. Am very pleased with price and service from Do My Own Pest Control.com. Was buying product locally but found that this website actually offers if for a little less than what I was paying and the free shipping is an added bonus. Will continue to buy product and use this company for my future needs. It takes a couple of days for you to see a result but it does wonderfully with killing the weeds in my driveway. Doesn't seem to matter if I rains as long as it's been sprayed at least a couple of hours.

Other weed killers turn things brown in a matter of hours.(good visual). This takes a week or so to see the results, but nothing grows back once it takes hold.

Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41%
By Jon on 03/18/2013
BUY IT! Glyphosate is Glyphosate no matter whose name is on it. (Roundup, Remuda, whatever). I have used it for years and found it to be great. It has gotten to be tremendously expensive at my local garden store. Recent purchase computed to be $4.19 per ounce of Glyphosate. Terrible! This purchase from DMOPC figures out to be $0.55 per ounce of glyphosate. Plus this product already has the surfactant in it! You can't beat it!

Round-Up sucks in comparison!
By Lynn in Springerville, AZ on 06/24/2014
After spending hundreds of dollars on OTC products such as "Round-Up" and a plethora of others I came across this site last year and thought I'd give this product a try. I have 2 acres and lots of spot weeding to do. I tried this product and at first thought it worked a bit slow for my liking, but still better than anything in the retail stores. Bought it again this year, before the weeds got waist high, and the weeds are already history! I have a huge line of windbreak trees and there isn't a weed to be found in the entire 550' of trees. It's easy to control the application of this herbicide with a tank sprayer, with even a minimum of protection for vegetation you don't want to kill. I mix and use this product precisely as suggested on the insert, i.e., "more" is not better and I'm not wanting to test that out. This year, for some unknown reason, it seemed to work faster! I love this stuff and will continue to buy it as long as it's available. One bottle, one quart, will last the entire weed-growing season.

Japanese Knot Weeds
By Brad in pittsburgh, PA on 06/20/2017
This is the only product that I've tried that can battle back the Godzilla that is Japanese Knot Weed (google it, you've seen it before). Deep bamboo like roots and root balls, nutrient sucking leaves and tubers. @4oz/gallon this will take the big stalks down in about a 7-10 days. It will shoot up strong dense brush shortly after, but after spraying that again, the main system beings to decay. Things like roundup and others kill the main leaves, but doesn't seem to affect reproduction as well, this is a terminator.

Great Price on this product that I will be spraying today out front on the dirt patch to control the weeds popping up. Takes a couple days to see results especially in cooler weather. When the sun is out the action is quicker and more noticeable to the reaction time. Great product, Great Price, And Delivery.
I love this stuff

As Good as Regular RoundUP
By Justin in West Columbia, SC on 08/17/2016
Well this is good stuff, but it is NOT great. It kills broadleaf weeds very fast, but other weeds take almost three weeks to a month with weekly applications. Take nut-sedge for instance. Ironically, the genuine, premixed Round-Up I purchased works like four times faster and in one (1) application. I even mixed this stuff up a little bit stronger than the I was supposed to. The reason I give it four (4) stars is that it does, indeed work on everything if you can wait it out, and that is ultimately what counts.
By Rose in Clarksville on 08/17/2016
This killed every piece of grass or weeds i put it on. Took a few days to see it but they were dead within two days. Even killed the ring of grass growing in our rocks around our fire pit....just amazing!

QI've been clearing land what would be the best weed killer?
There are still stumps on the ground and baby gum trees are beginning to grow from those stumps. Is there a weed killer that will treat this?
AA mixture of Crossbow and a glyphosate product like Gly Pho-Sel is a great combination. Crossbow is for heartier, bushes and thorns like blackberries and gum trees. You can mix a glyphosate product with it to quickly kill broadleaf and grass weeds. It is a great combination.

QBought a 250 gallon square tank that had Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant
Can I use this tank to water my vegetable garden? How can I clean this tank so it will be safe to use for water for my garden?
AYou should triple rinse the inside of the sprayer by flushing the tank, hoses and other components 3 times with water. After the tank has been thoroughly washed out with water 3 times you should be able to use it in your garden.

QHerbicide to keep weeds from coming back
Looking for herbicide to prevent weeds from growing that can be used in a round pen that is used by horses. Needs to be something that isn't harmful to the health of a horse. Any suggestions?
AGly Pho Sel Pro is a non selective herbicide that will kill just about any weed. Please be sure to protect wanted plants from over spray.
QI have nimblewill weed in my yard. How do I control it or omit it? What is the best herbicide to use, without killing my other grasses?
AUnfortunately, once the nimblewill weeds are up and thriving the only way to kill it is to carefully spot treat with a glyphosate product such as Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro. Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro is a non-selective herbicide which means it will kill most types of vegetation including desirable turfgrasses, so care must be used when applying this product to the nimbelwill weeds. Once you’ve killed off nimblewill patches, you can reseed the bare spots a week or so later or patch with sod. Spray at least a few extra inches around your nimblewill patches to take out any runners.

QCan I use Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant where I plan on having a garden?
I read the label, it seems like I could use this to broadcast spray and kill some weeds where I want to plant a vegetable garden. Is that true? Thanks.
A Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant can be used to kill any weeds in an area you want to plant edibles. You would need to wait 2 weeks after application to plant in the treated area.

QWhat is the best product to kill all vegetation that will last the entire year in a driveway?
We live out in the woods in Central Illinois. Want to apply to the whole stone driveway around the house.
A Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant would only be good to kill everything that is actively growing at the time it is applied. To keep weeds out of the area for up to 1 year you would need to use something like TVC which is a vegetation management product. Keep in mind that it can be very difficult to get herbicides down into the soil where there is gravel since the gravel is porous and often absorbs most of the active ingredient before it can get to the soil below.

QWhat chemical will control dog fennel in a blackberry orchard?
I have 200 blackberry plants that have been overtaken by dog fennel.
A Unfortunately there is not a chemical that we are aware of that would kill the dogfennel and not also kill the blackberry plants. Â You could use a glyphosate based product, but care should be taken to not spray the blackberry plants as they could also be killed.

QHow do I kill Johnson Grass in my Orchard Grass hay field?
A Unfortunately, Johnson grass and Orchard grass are both perennial grasses. Therefore, we are unaware of any selective herbicide that would kill the Johnson grass and not harm the Orchard grass. In this instance we would recommend spot treating the Johnson grass with a non selective glyphosate herbicide such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro with 41% Glyphosate and reseeding. Please be sure to read the product label for complete use instructions before use.

I have white pine (18") birch (30") and maple (24"); can I use it to kill the weeds around them?

QCan you recommend a product to kill Bermuda grass in Floratam, St Augustine grass?
AUnfortunately Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from St. Augustine and not hurt the Bermuda as well. In your situation it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with a glyphosate product and kill it directly, and then replant St. Augustine in those areas. GlyPhoSel Pro would be a good one to use.
02/12/2015 John from Sebastian Fl.
QWhat can I use to kill or control wild bermuda grass that is in floratam
There used to be a product on the market to eradicate wild bermuda
ASince the plant DNA between Bermuda and St Augustine grasses are so similar, you can not remove one from the other without harming both. The best way to control this is to use a Glyphosate product like Gly-Pho Sel Pro to kill out the spots in your yard that have the Bermuda coming up and reseed in those areas with St Augustine

QI live in Oklahoma....our Bermuda grass is currently dormant. What can I spray to kill unwanted weeds/grasses?
I am a commercial applicator so I will be using this product on customers Bermuda grass as well..
AAs long as the Bermuda is not starting to green at all you can use a glyphosate type product like GlyPhoSel Pro to kill any existing weeds and grasses that are actively growing. It will kill anything that it is applied to so should not be sprayed once the grasses start to green up.
