5 of 5 Stars  great stuff
By Sandra in Maryland on August 2, 2011

Very pleased with product - have used it for years. Am very pleased with price and service from Do My Own Pest Control.com. Was buying product locally but found that this website actually offers if for a little less than what I was paying and the free shipping is an added bonus. Will continue to buy product and use this company for my future needs. It takes a couple of days for you to see a result but it does wonderfully with killing the weeds in my driveway. Doesn't seem to matter if I rains as long as it's been sprayed at least a couple of hours.

Other weed killers turn things brown in a matter of hours.(good visual). This takes a week or so to see the results, but nothing grows back once it takes hold.

By Jon on March 18, 2013

BUY IT! Glyphosate is Glyphosate no matter whose name is on it. (Roundup, Remuda, whatever). I have used it for years and found it to be great. It has gotten to be tremendously expensive at my local garden store. Recent purchase computed to be $4.19 per ounce of Glyphosate. Terrible! This purchase from DMOPC figures out to be $0.55 per ounce of glyphosate. Plus this product already has the surfactant in it! You can't beat it!

By Ellen in Glendora NJ on May 6, 2013

We had bamboo in our yard and it is extremely hard to erradicate. I have used this directlly on new shoots. I clip them and then paint the chemical onto the shoot with a paint brush. So far so good. Its seems to be killing them. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

5 of 5 Stars  Round-Up sucks in comparison!
By Lynn in Springerville, AZ on June 24, 2014
    Verified Purchase

After spending hundreds of dollars on OTC products such as "Round-Up" and a plethora of others I came across this site last year and thought I'd give this product a try. I have 2 acres and lots of spot weeding to do. I tried this product and at first thought it worked a bit slow for my liking, but still better than anything in the retail stores. Bought it again this year, before the weeds got waist high, and the weeds are already history! I have a huge line of windbreak trees and there isn't a weed to be found in the entire 550' of trees. It's easy to control the application of this herbicide with a tank sprayer, with even a minimum of protection for vegetation you don't want to kill. I mix and use this product precisely as suggested on the insert, i.e., "more" is not better and I'm not wanting to test that out. This year, for some unknown reason, it seemed to work faster! I love this stuff and will continue to buy it as long as it's available. One bottle, one quart, will last the entire weed-growing season.

I needed a reasonably priced herbicide for wire (Bermuda) grass eradication. I have purchased this product before and did not want to pay for expensive brand, I won't mention the name. This 41% glyphosate is a good economical choice. It works!

I followed the instructions as to what amounts to add to a gallon a water. I started off with 3 - 4%. It had no affect on the grass between the expansion joints. So I doubled the percentage and tried again. This time it killed the grass & weeds. So far, very little growth came back.

July 8, 2013 Marc from San Antonio, Tx asked:

April 29, 2012 Vance from Hartsville, Sc asked:

QI've been clearing land what would be the best weed killer?
There are still stumps on the ground and baby gum trees are beginning to grow from those stumps. Is there a weed killer that will treat this?

AA mixture of Crossbow and a glyphosate product like Gly Pho-Sel is a great combination.  Crossbow is for heartier, bushes and thorns like blackberries and gum trees.  You can mix a glyphosate product with it to quickly kill broadleaf and grass weeds.  It is a great combination.

QHerbicide to keep weeds from coming back
Looking for herbicide to prevent weeds from growing that can be used in a round pen that is used by horses. Needs to be something that isn't harmful to the health of a horse. Any suggestions?

July 13, 2011 Ed asked:

QI have nimblewill weed in my yard. How do I control it or omit it? What is the best herbicide to use, without killing my other grasses?

AUnfortunately, once the nimblewill weeds are up and thriving the only way to kill it is to carefully spot treat with a glyphosate product such as Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro. Agrisel Gly Pho-Sel Pro is a non-selective herbicide which means it will kill most types of vegetation including desirable turfgrasses, so care must be used when applying this product to the nimbelwill weeds. Once you’ve killed off nimblewill patches, you can reseed the bare spots a week or so later or patch with sod. Spray at least a few extra inches around your nimblewill patches to take out any runners.

April 1, 2014 Leslie from Julian, Pa asked:

QI have a bare area that had lots of annual grasses (foxtail and Japanese stiltgrass).
This has been a problem area for several years. I'd like to plant a low maintenance now mow lawn there this season. I'm in central Pennsylvania. How do I get rid of the weed seeds and still plant grass?

AYou can use a roundup type product like our Gly-Pho Sel Pro on any area where the unwanted weeds and grasses are. The GlyPhoSel will break down in the soil within about 1 week after its sprayed on the weeds/grasses and then new seed can be put down at any time after that.

August 2, 2015 Bob from Gladys, Va asked:

QHow do I kill Johnson Grass in my Orchard Grass hay field?

A

Unfortunately, Johnson grass and Orchard grass are both perennial grasses. Therefore, we are unaware of any selective herbicide that would kill the Johnson grass and not harm the Orchard grass. In this instance we would recommend spot treating the Johnson grass with a non selective glyphosate herbicide such as Gly Pho-Sel Pro with 41% Glyphosate and reseeding.  Please be sure to read the product label for complete use instructions before use.

July 15, 2015 Irene from La Grange, Illinois asked:

QCan I use Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant around small trees?
I have white pine (18") birch (30") and maple (24"); can I use it to kill the weeds around them?

A

Gly Pho-Sel Pro cannot be used on desirable trees because severe damage or destruction may occur. You can use the product around the tree to kill weeds.

April 24, 2015 Ron from Holland, Ohio asked:

QIf I spray this product on rocks around my pond to kill the existing weeds, does the product prevent other
weeds from growing?

A Gly Pho-Sel Pro 41% with Surfactant will not prevent weeds from growing. It will burn the weeds you apply it to down.  We DO NOT recommed to use near aquatic life. Diquat would be a better choice.

February 23, 2015 Rich from Fort Myers, Fl asked:

QCan you recommend a product to kill Bermuda grass in Floratam, St Augustine grass?

A Unfortunately Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from St. Augustine and not hurt the Bermuda as well.  In your situation it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with a glyphosate product and kill it directly, and then replant St. Augustine in those areas. GlyPhoSel Pro would be a good one to use.

February 12, 2015 John from Sebastian Fl. asked:

QWhat can I use to kill or control wild bermuda grass that is in floratam
There used to be a product on the market to eradicate wild bermuda

A Since the plant DNA between Bermuda and St Augustine grasses are so similar, you can not remove one from the other without harming both. The best way to control this is to use a Glyphosate product like Gly-Pho Sel Pro to kill out the spots in your yard that have the Bermuda coming up and reseed in those areas with St Augustine

February 1, 2015 Mark from Tulsa,oklahoma asked:

QI live in Oklahoma....our Bermuda grass is currently dormant. What can I spray to kill unwanted weeds/grasses?
I am a commercial applicator so I will be using this product on customers Bermuda grass as well..

A As long as the Bermuda is not starting to green at all you can use a glyphosate type product like GlyPhoSel Pro to kill any existing weeds and grasses that are actively growing.  It will kill anything that it is applied to so should not be sprayed once the grasses start to green up.

July 22, 2014 Karen from Lake Villa, Il asked:

QI am trying to find a herbicide to kill Creeping Charlie.
It should contain triclopyr which contains Weed B Gon Purple, Weed B Gon Chickweed and Weed B GonMax. ,

A You can use a Glyphosate product like Glyphosel pro to spot treat. Tenacity is labeled to control Ground Ivy "Creeping Charlie" as post emergent control. We highly recommend using a temporary turf colorant like Turf Mark Blue so that you can see where you spray with the Tenacity to avoid overlapping. Tenacity is a great product, but also a very strong product so too much overlapping or mixing the product too strong can cause temporary damage and whitening to your turf around the ground ivy. The color will come back in the lawn after 3-4 weeks but to avoid this potential problem it is best to use a colorant to make sure no overlap occurs. To get optimum results for post emergent control it is recommended you use a Non Ionic Surfactant in your mixture as well.
