Product Overview

Glyphosate Plus is a wide range non-selective herbicide for weed management in turf, nurseries, non-crop areas, and landscape ornamentals. This weed killer is effective against annual and perennial broadleaf weeds and grasses. For annual weeds to be the most easily controlled, make sure to apply Glyphosate Plus when the weeds are small. Perennial weeds are most easily controlled when treated as the weed is nearing maturity. Glyphosate Plus mixes well with water but, is NOT to be applied through any type of irrigation system. Add the correct amount of water into sprayer or mixing tank, then add the required amount of product mix. Once Glyphosate Plus is in the water make sure to mix thoroughly. To achieve the most desired result, do not spray weeds to the point of runoff. Glyophosate Plus should be applied evenly and completely. Glyophosate Plus may be applied with multiple pieces of application equipment such as: backpack sprayers, ground broadcast equipment, aerial and ground injection sprayers, and controlled droplet applicators.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Product Description:

This product is a post-emergent, systemic herbicide with no soil residual activity. It is generally non-selective and gives broad-spectrum control of many annual weeds, perennial weeds, woody brush, and trees. It is formulated as a water-soluble liquid. No additional surfactants, additives containing surfactant, buffering agents, or pH adjusting agents are needed or recommended. It may be applied through most standard industrial or field-type sprayers after dilution and thorough mixing with water or other carriers according to label instructions.

Do not add surfactants, additives containing surfactants, buffering agents, or pH adjusting agents to this product. Ammonium sulfate may be used. See the “MIXING” section of this label for instructions.

When an adjuvant is to be used with this product, Makhteshim Agan of North America, Inc. suggests the use of a Chemical Producers and Distributors Association certified adjuvant.

Time to Symptoms:

This product moves through the plant from the point of foliage contact to and into the root system. Visible effects on most annual weeds occur within 2 to 4 days, but on most perennial weeds may not occur for 7 days or more. Extremely cool or cloudy weather following treatment may slow activity of this product and delay development of visual symptoms. Visible effects are a gradual wilting and yellowing of the plant which advances to complete browning of above-ground growth and deterioration of underground plant parts.

Stage of Weeds:

Annual weeds are easiest to control when they are small. Best control of most perennial weeds is obtained when treatment is made at late growth stages approaching maturity. Refer to the “ANNUAL WEEDS RATE TABLE,” “PERENNIAL WEEDS RATE TABLE,” and the “WOODY BRUSH AND TREES RATE TABLE” for recommendations for specific weeds.

Always use the higher rate of this product per acre within the specified range when weed growth is heavy or dense or weeds are growing in an undisturbed (non-cultivated) area.

WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including glyphosate which is know to the State of California to cause cancer. For more information go to https://www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

    Works well

    By Dave on 05/30/2017

I tried this product for the first time to eradicate noxious weeds, particularly Mullin. They're dying off, so it works perfectly and as advertised.

    This worked great

    By Robert on 03/28/2020

    Verified Purchase

This works GREAT. Used 2oz per gallon. A squirt of IVORY Concentrated Dishwashing Liquid as a surfactant per gallon. Used an Ace Hardware 2 Gal pump up sprayer with a spray wand so I could direct the spray just to each individual crabgrass plant and limit getting it on surrounding vegetation. Glyphosate does not contain Diquat Dibromide the Defoliant used in Round Up so it takes longer to work. After 6 days the crabgrass starts dying. About 9 days out it's completely dead. The half-life of Glyphosate in water is between 12 days and 10 weeks so you can't just mix a bunch up with water and not use all of it.

Q
Do you know if Glyphosate Plus kills bamboo canes?
A

Honestly any glyphosate product may or may not do the job right off to control the Bamboo. Since bamboo roots go so deep, you would need to apply either a product like Glyphosate Plus at the highest rates directly to the fresh cut stump of the bamboo after you cut it down level to the ground, or use a brush and stump killer undiluted directly on the fresh stump.
