Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait - 32 oz. MSDS
You'll love the results you see after using Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid with 1% DOT (Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate). Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid is less repellent than other products and is far more effective at eliminating both the workers and queens in active ant colonies. Use Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid indoors with an add-your-own-bait station (like the Ant Café or Ant & Roach Buffet or the Ant Pro Bait Station) to quickly eliminate foragers. Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid is currently the only bait out there that is specially formulated to allow dilution while retaining the same effectiveness, cutting the effective cost by up to 75% and making this product a great economical bait. Ants love Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid because it uses a special insect attractant that mimics honeydew and enhances bait acceptance by a variety of Protein Feeding Ants, Sweet Feeding Ants, and roaches.
How Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid Works:
The sweet honeydew attractant in Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid draws insects to forage. Once ingested, the active ingredient DOT begins a slow attack on the ant’s central nervous system that allows them to return to their nests after consuming the bait to pass along the DOT poisoning to their young and to the queen. When other food sources are removed, ants will continue feeding on Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid until they die.
To Use Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid:
1. Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid may be used at full strength for larger ants (like Carpenter or Fire), or diluted with distilled water or other food grade liquid 1:1 to make bait containing .5% active ingredient for smaller ants (Argentine, White-Footed, and Pharaoh)
2. Bait may be used in “Ant Café”, “Ant & Roach Buffet”, “KM AntPro”, or other similar bait stations.
3. When using bait stations, wash hands thoroughly before handling bait to remove any odors that may be repellent to ants, i.e. tobacco, garlic, strong chemicals/ cleaners etc.
4. Remove as many competing food sources as practical. Vacuum or sweep floors to remove crumbs, etc. Ants are attracted to and will feed on Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid until they die.
5. Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid is designed to work slowly, and sufficient bait should be made available for at least 14 days of continuous feeding.
6. Repeat placement of the bait until satisfactory control has been achieved.
7. Do not use sprays, foggers or any strong chemicals or cleaners near the bait containers or placements. This may contaminate the bait and cause the insects to cease feeding.
Indoor Treatment: Use Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid for the control of ants or German Cockroaches. Place bait station filled half-full with Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid on a horizontal surface near ant activity. Stations filled with Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid may be placed under food cabinets, sinks, stoves, refrigerators, food storage areas, attics, garages, basements, storage areas, closets, etc. Place bait stations on exterior windowsills and in doorways to help prevent entry of ants. Some bait stations may be designed to affixed to a wall, hung on pipes or branches, or placed on a flat surface
Outdoor Treatment: Place bait stations filled half-full with Gourmet Ant Bait Liquid on exterior window-sills and in doorways to help prevent entry.
For especially heavy or stubborn ant infestations, it is often effective to combine Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait with a gel bait such as Gourmet Ant Bait Gel or Maxforce Ant Killer Bait Gel. If you choose to combine two different kinds of baits, do not use more than one per bait station. Simply use a liquid formulation in some stations while placing the gel formulation in others. This gives finicky ants a variety of textures and baits to choose from. Due to the changing demands of the colony, it is common for foraging workers to also change their food sources. |
