Takes Patience, But Very Effective
By Happy on September 29, 2012We have about 12000 square feet of lawn with curbing and beds throughout. Kentucky bluegrass creeping into the groundcover of the beds used to be a real problem. Then my neighbor introduced me to to Grass Out Max. He had used it the previous fall and his beds look great. He said it took about a month for it to work. I tried it and it and for the first couple of weeks didn't see much difference, but after a month it did the trick. Now just an occasional touch up application keeps the beds looking good.

August 8, 2011Kim from Knoxville Tn asked:
QWhat is the mixing ratio of Grass Out to water for spraying flower beds?
I'm using Grass Out Max in a gallon sprayer for flower beds. In reading the labels, I can't find what amounts of grass max/water to use for that size container. Could you please give me that information?
AYou will need to use 0.2-0.4 fl oz of Grass Out per 1,000 sq ft area. Like most other herbicides the exact amount of water you use is not important, it is just important to make sure you get the specified amount of product over a 1,000 sq ft area. For ease of mixing/measuring you can add the specified amount of product to 1 gallon of water to apply to a 1,000 sq ft area.
July 11, 2011Jeff asked:
QCan Grass Out be used on clover without killing it?
AThe product label for Grass Out does say it can be used on clover, but only in the states of Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. We are not sure exactly why, or if you live in these states. We would recommend calling the manufacturer at 877-247-4735.

January 5, 2013Harold from Plymouth, Nc asked:
QCan Grass-Out Max (clethodim herbicide) be used in a Centipede lawn to kill bermuda grass?
ASince Grass Out is a grass killer in general we do not recommend you try to broadcast spray it over your centipede lawn as it may cause damage. We have heard of many people using Atrazine to control Bermuda grass that is invading a centipede lawn, though because this is actually an off label usage we cannot say for sure that it will work. You can also choose to spot treat the bermudagrass growth with a glyphosate product and just reseed int hose areas.
