    Q
What is the shelf life of the Gourmet liquid ant bait.
I want to buy in bulk to eventually save money. But I am concerned that the product may lose potency after 3 or 4 years. I want to know how many years this product be stored before it expires.
    A
The manufacturer states that since it is a food bait, gourmet ant bait should only be expected to remain effective on the shelf for a period of 2 years at the most.  You should always store in a cool dry place if possible and make sure the lid is on and the bottle is out of direct sunlight.

    Q
Where should I place the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait in my home?
I was wondering how much to use, and what I should put it in without buying stations. I have a 900 sq ft. home with a full basement that I am finishing. One floor with three bedrooms, a small kitchen, a living room and a bathroom. Where should I place the bait? Thank you
    A

According to the products label, Gourmet Ant Bait can be used to make small, pea sized placements and/ or long thin lines in areas where ants are a problem. Place the bait on a horizontal surface near ant activity. Place bait under food cabinets, sinks, stoves, refrigerators, food storage areas, attics, garages, basements, storage areas, closets, etc. Place on exterior windowsills and in doorways to help prevent entry of ants. You can put on pieces of paper or on jar lids to keep the bait off of surfaces.

    Q
Will Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait eradicate or at minimum control the numbers of foraging Pharaoh ants?
My apartment (multi-unit dwelling) is infested. Can you suggest the best way not to import any to a new apartment when I move?
    A

Yes, Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is an excellent option when treating for Pharaoh ants. You will put the product out in bait stations. They will consume the bait and/or take it back to the colony as well.

Another good option to use in conjunction with this product is Maxforce Complete Granules. This can be broadcast in your lawn and put in places where you have seen activity. It contains a unique formula with a mixture of proteins, simple sugars, fats and complex carbohydrates in a food-based granular structure that is irresistible to insects.

Also, be sure to check out our Ant Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent ants.

    Q
I'm using your KM Ant Pro Bait Stations. How much liquid ant bait should I order for each station?
    A
Each KM Ant Pro Station can hold up to 19oz of liquid ant bait but it is recommended to only fill up to 16 oz at a time.  The recommended bait for the KM Ant Pro Station is the Gourmet Liquid Ant Bait which is 32 oz of bait per container.  So 1 bottle would be enough to fill 2 KM Ant Pro Stations.  However, if you have a lot of ant activity then you may need to refill it sooner than you expect.  We do have an Outdoor Ant Kit which comes with the stations and the bait at a discounted price.

    Q
Can Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait - 32 oz. be poured on fire ants mounds in the yard?
Fire ant mounds constantly pop up in the rural area where we live.
    A

Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait - 32 oz. is labeled for use inside of a variety of bait stations. It is not labeled for pouring on ant mounds. If you want a liquid to use for a mound drench, you can look at a product like Talstar P. When treating Fire Ants it is best to perform both broadcast and mound treatments. Please be sure to read the product label for complete use instructions.

    Q
Will Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait treat for Big Headed Ants? We have found ant trails in my apartment that seem to be coming from several spots outside the front door and up the balcony?
    A

Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait can be used to treat for bigheaded ants as this bait appeals to sweet feeding ant species. Use full strength or dilute 1:1 with distilled water or food-grade liquid such as apple juice. Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is designed to work slowly, and sufficient bait should be made available for at least 14 days of continuous feeding.

We would recommend using a bait station such as the Ant Cafe or the Maxforce Refillable Buffet Stations to place in areas where you have seen ant trails or activity.

    Q
If ants love Advion Ant Bait Gel will they like this?
My yard is infested with Ants, crazy ants I think, love Advion ant bait gel. They do not touch protein or fat based baits. I am looking to get some bait stations and a slightly more economical product. Do you think they would go for this?
    A

Green Way Liquid Ant Killing Bait is a popular choice for control of any ants looking for sweet/carbohydrate foods, so it is very possible that ants that have been eating Advion Ant Bait Gel will also consume the Green Way bait. This bait can be used full strength or diluted at a 1:1 ratio with a food-grade liquid such as apple juice.

Another excellent ant bait for use in stations for very large colonies is Maxforce Quantum Ant Bait.

If you are dealing with crazy ants or other ants with very large colonies, then we recommend using mutiple control methods for best results. In addition to use bait stations, you may also consider using a non-repellent spray around the foundation of the home that will help transfer through colonies, such as Taurus SC or Advion WDG.

We also sell bait stations, baits, and Advion WDG together in our Outdoor Ant Control Kit here.
