Nathan from Dallas Tx writes

I have an old carpet and I am worried about a moth infestation. What do you recommend?

The carpet is made from wool and my wife does not like the smell of moth balls.

Answer:

If you use a high quality steamer that reaches temperatures over 140 degrees you can be sure that the larvae will be killed. ExciteR will eliminate most insects when they are sprayed directly with the product. You should spray after you steam clean. Most folks do not have to get rid of their rugs. We recommend you contact an oriental rug dealer to learn more about caring for the rugs to avoid this type of problem in the future. Please find our Cloths Moth control page.
