Did not notice a long tail and was walking across fireplace harp not running around baseboards. Also came out early evening with lots of noise in house. Please help!
We apologize but we can not identify for you what may be in your home. The best way to find out what you are dealing with is to use either glue boards or snap traps throughout the home and in the room where you saw the movement to try and catch whatever it may be. If you think it is a mouse size rodent of some sort a standard glueboard or traditional style mouse trap should catch it. Try a variety of baits on the traps since you dont know what its looking for. Items like peanut butter mixed with oatmeal or cereal, tuna, bread with vanilla flavoring on it, and cookies are great options for baiting it. Check all around the outside of your home for any places that something could potentially enter and seal them up. If you catch the animal, you can contact us to see what steps you should take to make sure there are no more in the area and what it would take to eliminate them.
