This is a very good all purpose pest control for multiple uses. I'm not very knowlegeable on what insecticide kills what so I mix it up and use it for most all pests on veg plants, flowers and shrubs. It seems to work on almost anything. I was happy to find this site where I could order it. Good service and reasonabloe price.

By Rick on March 20, 2013

Used this on my tomatoes as I had a growing problem with whiteflies. Problem solved! I am also looking to dilute this enough and spray my tent before I go camping as I hear this works quite well on gear without health or equipment issues.

5 of 5 Stars  Permethrin for garden
By Don on June 13, 2014

I have 10% permethrin, but it is not labeled for garden use. This one shows the same ingredients, but is labeled for vegetables etc. It will be a good and economical insecticide for various uses. I still don't know why the other ones aren't labeled for garden use.

By William on July 25, 2014

I have used this product for many years and the results are great. A former name brand pest control employee told me about the product. If you want to do your own pest control try this. You will not be disappointed. And a little bit goes a long way. My first quart lasted 8+ years and I apply it around my house foundation spring and fall and also in my garage. Great for problems areas also.

August 15, 2011 Peter asked:

QSafe for use to treat clothing?
I understand that water based Permethrin concentrate is acceptable to be diluted to a 0.5% solution for application on clothing. Is this product water based, can it be diluted for use on clothing?

AHi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin Insecticide is not labeled for use on clothing and should not be used in this manner. We do carry Tick Block which is specifically formulated for use on clothing. While both products do contain permethrin, the formulation of Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin Insecticide contains materials that should not come into contact with your skin.

July 20, 2011 Heidi asked:

QHow strong is the odor of Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin Insecticide when sprayed?
Could you please give me an indication of how strong is the odor? I purchased the Petcor flea for dogs, which is safe to spray directly on the pets, but the odor is so strong - stronger than any of the other home & carpet sprays I purchased - and the dogs do not tolerate it at all. Thank you in advance for any advice you could offer.

AMost products that contain permethrin including the Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin Insecticide
do have an odor that some people find offensive. We have never had a customer report that the odor lasted for a long time. If the smell of permethrin products is bothersome you may want to consider using the "spot on" flea and tick treatments that used to only be available through your vet but are now available over the counter at most pet supply stores and other big box stores.

QHow do I remove the film on our window caused by HI-YIELD® INDOOR/OUTDOOR BROAD USE INSECTICIDE?
We sprayed the outside of our home with HI-YIELD® INDOOR/OUTDOOR BROAD USE INSECTICIDE. It left a film on the windows, which I have tried unsuccessfully to remove with Windex and vinegar water.

A Normally, Windex or any other cleaning solution should work great to clean the film that may be left behind on windows following an appplication. However, if it hasn't worked to remove the film we recommend contacting the manufacturer, VPG at 888-583-5296.

October 29, 2013 Stephanie from Denham Springs asked:

QIs Hi Yield Indoor/Outdoor permethrin an adulticide for fleas? Can it be mixed with Nylar?
If they can be mixed together, at what ratio do i use per gallon of water?

A

Yes the Hi Yield Indoor/Outdoor 10% Permethrin can be used as the adulticide to mix with the Nylar for flea control, however you may find better options by looking at some of our flea control kits on our page. The products we have paired together will not smell as bad as the Hi Yield and will give you a wider usage area both indoors and out. If you use the Hi Yield it would be 1 1/3 ounce to 1 gallon of water mixed with 1 ounce of Paragon Surge Nylar. You can see our Flea Products here:

June 6, 2013 Tonia from Lavaca. Arkansas asked:

QWhat can i spray my garden and lawn with for springtail ? They are really bad .
Tiny little black bugs that jump like fleas and they dont bite . My yard and garden is infested with them .

A Springtails are present in your yard because there is a moisture issue in the area. If you are watering your lawn regularly you may want to stop for a week or so to give your yard time to dry out as springtails need moisture to survive. You will also want to look for potential nest spots around the home like near pools or concrete patios/walkways. As long as you are not spraying over edible vegetation you would want to use an insecticide spray like Bifen IT around the foundation of the home and concrete areas and the yard. Or you could use the Bifen IT concentrate around the foundation, and use the Bifen granules in the yard for a little longer control. Please read our article on How To Get Rid Of Springtails and compare the harborage sites listed with your yard to see what non-chemical steps you can take to eliminate the population on your property. Let us know if you have any other questions.
