    5 of 5 stars  wow
By in Hannibal MO on 07/09/2013

I purchased this product to use on pumpkins against squash bugs because I hadn't found anything to kill them. I sprayed this stuff and within 10 minutes I saw squash bugs on their backs and kickin the sky. I've since used this product twice and haven't found another squash bug yet. Its incredible stuff. The low dose per gallon of water is great too. The quart I bought should last a long time. I'll definitely be purchasing more of this.

5 of 5 stars  Using this to kill fire ants in a pasture.
By Patricia in Whitewright, Texas on 02/23/2015

We have a fire ant problem scattered over 10 acres but the colonies are not close enough to require field spraying. We mix this in old gallon milk jugs and pour it onto the mounds making sure to soak the center where the queen lives. Recheck of the mounds either finds them completely uninhabited or with a greatly reduced population. Avoid the temptation to make your solution go further by minimizing the amount applied. It will take a gallon to eradicate the mound.

QIs Hi-Yield Lawn, Garden, Pet and Livestock Insect Control safe around bees?
We have a minor tick problem and need something to spray on lawn and shrubs that targets ticks but won't hurt flowers and especially bees.

APermethrin, the active ingredient in Hi-Yield Lawn, Garden, Pet and Livestock, is not selective and can harm bees that land on treated areas. Mavrik Perimeter is the only product that we are aware of that is labeled to help control ticks and is not toxic to bees and is safe to spray on ornamental plants. You should only apply the product when bees are not actively foraging in the area and once it has dried it will be safe for the bees.
