Doug from San Diego, Ca writes

How can I clean a B&G that was left in storage for 2 years with chemical left in it that dried up and rusted??

The B&G seems to be in decent shape, but it has a lot of old residue and looks like all of the gaskets and things need to be replaced . I cannot seem to scrub it enough. Do I need to scrap the whole thing except the can? Id like to get it back to working order but it looks in rough shape when I get into it.

Answer:

For this situation, we will suggest you contact the manufacturer B&G to see if the sprayer is salvageable. They will know best from your description whether it can be used and cleaned out well enough to not affect the future chemicals to use, and whether or not it would be cost effect for you to buy all the parts needed to get it back into working condition. Sometimes after you calculate the cost to repair the gaskets, seals and cords, you wind up close to the cost of a new sprayer. You can reach B&G at (678)-688-5601. If they determine you can just replace certain parts of the sprayer, we carry almost every item you would need and you can contact us for the replacement parts.
