How close to a fruit bearing tree (fig) is it safe to apply Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed - Concentrate?

I have an aphid infested crepe myrtle w/in 15 ft. of my fig. The branches/leaves of the trees touch. The fig is well established and the crepe is 3 years old. I've applied malathion, but it didn't do the job (or they came back really fast) and I can't reach the top leaves of the crepe.

Answer:

Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed - Concentrate should be used outside the dripzone of a fruit tree, generally between 3-6 feet away from the tree. If the product accidently gets into the tree or is used around it, we would not recommend consuming any fruit produced from that tree for at least 12 months.
