How do I dilute Merit 2F Insecticide for use on grapes?

I have 200 grape vines. How much Merit would be used in 5 gallons of water to do a ground soak around trunk of vine to get an equivalent of 32 ounces per acre.

Answer:

Merit 2F is only labeled to be used on grapes for leafhoppers and mealybugs.  Per the product label the rate is 1.5 fl oz per 100 gallons, this breaks down to about 0.015 oz per gallon.  If you need to treat for anything other than the listed pests we would recommend ImidaPro 4SC which is labeled for a few other pests.  If you need to treat for any other pest not listed on the label we suggest you contact your local Department of Agriculture to find the best solution for you.
