My mom lives with us, but we go to her house one or two weekends a month. The neighborhood has rats, but we hadn't had a problem for almost a year.
We would recommend using our Rodent Baiting Kit. It comes with the bait and bait stations to put around the home. Be sure to check the bait every couple of weeks to see whether or not it should be replaced. We would also recommend taking a look at our Rat Guide. It has useful tips on how to treat and prevent rats.
