trees are already infested and definetly are nested

Answer:

You should spray topically for ants. Soil drenches using Dominion 2L around the tree will only protect the tree from insects that actually eat parts of the tree which the ants do not (they just remove small pieces to build nest, they do not eat the pieces they remove).
