How do you use Dr Earth Organic 9 Fruit Tree Fertilizer Poly Bag 4 lb? How much area does it cover?

I have a number of mature fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, peach, pecans, lemon, orange, etc). Some are 8-10 yrs old and they fail to bear fruit. They bloom fine, set fruit but then it drops. I live in GA and the land was a peach orchard years ago. I do not use chemicals to spray for insects, and I don't want to kill beneficial bugs as well. Can you please tell me if this would help and also give some directions on how much to use per tree and how to apply it? Thank you

Answer:

With the Dr Earth Organic 9 Fruit Tree Fertilizer Poly Bag 4 lb., you will use 1 cup (about 1/2 lb.) for every inch of the trunk diameter (measured 4"-6" above the soil line). You will work it into the soil gently inside the drip line and water thoroughly. This product is applied every 3 months throughout the growing season. A 4lb bag will treat 280 sq. ft. total.
