How many ounces of Pendulum AquaCap do i use per gallon for a hose sprayer?

I understand the 3.2 oz per 1000 square feet but I have over 1/2 acre I need to spray and I'm using an adjustable sprayer on the end of a hose with no way of telling how much water I'm using. I can set the sprayer to feed "X" amount of ounces per gallon. There has to be a general guidline.

Answer:

The first thing you need to know when using an herbicide such as Pendulum Aquacap is that the exact amount of water you dilute it with is not important. It is only important to make sure you are using the correct amount of product per 1,000 sq ft of area. You will need to use 1.6 - 3.2 oz of Pendulum per 1,000 sq ft of area. To decide how much water you want to use, you should mark a 1,000 sq ft area, fill your hand pump sprayer (we do not recommend you use a hose end sprayer for this application) with water ONLY, and moving and spraying just as if you were doing the actual application of herbicide. When you are done walking and spraying the 1,000 sq ft area note how much water it took you to spray that area, and that is the amount you will want to mix 1.6-3.2 oz of product with for each 1,000 sq ft area that needs to be treated. You will need to make sure treated areas are irrigated with at least 1/2 inch of water (either by rainfall or by sprinkler) following the application to ensure best results.
