My yard fence is made of painted 4x4, 2x4 and 2x2 boards. Is it sufficient to sand only one side of each board for effective application of BoraCare, or to I need to sand all 4 sides of each?
For best penetration and protection it is recommended by the manufacturer to sand all 4 sides of the wood so that you can apply the Boracare to all 4 sides to ensure complete treatment of the wood. If you do chose to only sand 1 or 2 sides of the wood make sure all paint particles are removed and you are only applying to pure raw wood and you may need to make multiple coats to ensure the product moves all the way through the wood.
