How much kinetic surfactant with diquat?

I have a pond that is 40 feet wide by 100 feet long, covered in duckweed. The temperatures have been warm. I have two gallon Roundup style sprayer. I just received your diquat and surfactant products, a quart each. How much diquat and how much surfactant do I mixed with water in the sprayer? Does it matter if it is raining tomorrow?

Answer:

You are going to use .12 to .64 oz of Kinetic nonionic surfactant per gallon of water. If you are spot treating with the Diquat Water Weed and Landscape Herbicide you will use .75 of the solution in a gallon of water. Per the label, a 14 day wait time is required between treatments.   Also, I would recommend not treating the whole pond at the same time. Having too many dead plants in the water can cut off the circulation of the oxygen in other life inside the water.
