The Eco Exempt G Granules have been discontinued so as an alternative for fire ants you could go with the replacment insecticide granules of Essentria G Granules, or a better option like a bait for the mounds with Extinguish Plus. If you already have the Eco Exempt Granules the label does not specify any treatments for fire ants or mound treatments. The replacement Essentria states: FOR ANT MOUNDS/NESTS: Sprinkle 1 to 2 teaspoons over the nest. For red imported fire ant mounds, use up to 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) over each mound and up to 2 feet around each mound.
